Test 3, Day 2 Official Thread [30/11/05]

Yusuf shd be at number 3. As Rameez said Pakistan have exposed 3 young and inexperienced players at top 3 position.

koi ab isay chup karayay yar. now he is saying it will be huge interesting to see what Pakistan young batting line up will do when Inzi fails

Asim "scapegoat" Kamal being forced to face the new bowl - while Inzy and Yousuf choose to stay back - that is called leading from the front .. In my book .. Inzy the great batsman will always remain an avg captain who always lacked courage

he wont be losing much sleep.

and once again Malik's bowling will get him a place in the next test series...

if he passes his test, that is...

ramiz and younis raised very genuine questions.. either one of youhana and inzi need to bat up the order

speed is sitting in the enclosure.. i hope someone goes and gives him an atomic wedgie for not doing anything about cheating umires..

:)) u r doubting Inzi's ability abt leading from the front. when u started to follow Pakistan cricket.

Though I agree that Asim shouldnt be at no. 3 and Yusuf shd have been send with Hasan/Asim at 4 and Inzi at 5.

oooooooh Asim's got 4 runs but that's really not the type of shot I want to see him playing this early on

Waqar chatting manure as usual.

"Salman Butt struggled in Australia earlier this year".

So who got a century and half century in the Tests??

what rot - Inzi is the only consistent scorer in our team, we are rely on him to bail us out and most times he does! he should and can bat wherever he damn feels like, if thats at 4,5,6 or even 10 i cudnt care less

that was a safe shot.. the ball hit the ground quite a bit in front of the fielders, in the gap and raced away.. i dont know why the feel its not safe.. it was perfectly safe in my book..

good shot

Don't worry najaf bhai - he won't be losing sleep no matter what happens - as long as aloo parathas with lot of butter are served to him regularly in breakfast

Kamal goes lbw to hoggyboy. was plumb. rudi had no hesitation. this is the last over before lunch

well i hope that shut ups people calling for asim kamal to come ahead of other batsmen

2 wkts down before lunch, just about where i'd thought we'd be. onwards and upwards, i say!

ya thats a good excuse. A batsman who has consistently scored at no.6 and u r dropping him for no good reason and then bringing him only bcoz YK was unavailable and then sending him at 3. U have every right to ask for his head. :15:

Eh? He's not a test number 3, should never have been batting there in the first place. Number 6 is his spot and that's where he should be playing. At least he got out to a good delivery instead of looking like a rabbit caught in the headlights like the amazing prodigy that is Hasan Raza

was it just me or did Waqar Younis say that Salman Butt struggled in Australia?

If I was not hearing things then, ummm, what exactly was he blabbering on about? Because I do not remember Salman Butt struggling in Australia but it might be some other Salman Butt he is talking about

2 gone for almost nothing on board -- so actually my gut feeling was a lot better than most of the analysis and comments that was dished out .. Pakistani batting is crap - Only Salman and Inzy have been consistent ..Malik , Raza , Asim are passengers pretending to be batsmen .. Asim atleast is a decent no 6 ..but at this level one should be able to adapt ..otherwise it is difficult to survive

288 from here still isnt a problem with patnerships but having said that we need more to well and truly put the game out of england reac h in terms of winning it

I think he was confusing between Butt and Farhat.

Just wait and see what Hasan does on this pitch before opening your mouth.

wonder what will happen if Inzi fails....

he's only human after all

Hash bhai ..kahaan gayey tumhaarey waadey ..Pakistan batting reemphasizing what they are - 2 man show ... Inzy and Salman ...bakee sab sirf duaa padhtey hain during the huddle

we need a big session now for Pakistan

Mohammed Yousuf and Salman Butt.......over to you boys.

I've seen what Raza can do on a much better batting pitch and it wasn't pretty on both occasions.

I thought Inzi was an average player for you

Anyone can have a bad test match.

I can see Pakistan are just goin out there to protect wickets and not score runs.. WRONG MENTALITY.. DONT FALL INTO THAT TRAP.. I am sure this has been preached a lot to them but this is really somethin going against their natural game

we are not good blockers.. let hem play their game.. before u know it we would be over the 300 mark I am positive.. lets hope Youhana and Butt play their natural game.

Najaf bhai - lagtaa hai apney chashmaa nahee lagayaa hai - I wrote - He is a great batsman - but an average captain .. can't blame you for not reading the posts - when we are losing top order batsmen left right and center .

Wicket is still good for batting. Dont see why other batsmen cannot go onto score tons.

Everyone gives up hope so soon. We still have a line-up left. We can still do this. If that was Inzi instead of Asim right now think where would we be. Inzi likes to play at number 5 and it makes sense. He can play according to the situation and in case of a collaspe we still have hope with him.

Ask Butt and Kamal, the minute Kamal came onto face Hoggard I knew he was going to get out like that because that has happened on god knows how many times now.

I agree its the way to play also if we score quickly then we leave time but if we hang around to long then get bowled out cheaply we are wel and truly letting them dictate them game and we cant afford that in this game wheer they HAVE to win

Malik gave his wicket away quite pathetically

Kamal got a good ball.

Butt is looking in good touch. Yousuf needs to stand and deliver now. He needs to show the world why he is an automatic selection in our test team. We need him now. Let's see what he can do.

He has the technique to play up the order. Asim looked fine untik he got out on what was a peach of a delivery. As for Hasan, anyone whose ready to write off a batsman after just one game must possess "amazing" cricketing prowess.

how did Malik gotten out? HASH? did you see him getting out? yar, i am sorry, cricinfo.com is somehow now uploading anything, the server seems like bombarded....please tell

that delivery is always very effective against left handed batsmen and hoggard can bowl it pretty well. you are right, it was always on the cards.
A left handed and right handed combo will be nice now... hopefully will mess up the bowlers line.

We are left with only Inzy - I don't remember when Moyo last played a match winning / saving innings ..It will be unfair to expect Hasan Raza to score a ton bcoz he lacks experience at this level ..

Thats an inetresting point u make there. How many times has it happend before? If thats right then that means he's got a problem with the pitched up ball swinging in late.

It was a good delivery true but Kamal should have expected it he went far too across, Hoggard had brought in all other deliveries so what made him think that it wouldnt happen here.

Clipped the 5th ball he faced straight into the hands of the midwicket fieldsman.

Lets see he got out like that a couple of times against Sri Lanka, In India too Balaji got him like this once or twice and then there was once in WI.

That was obvious, Asim never was comfortable batting up the order. Inzi made him a scapegoat. He should have asked MOYO to go up or he should have come to bat himself at 3, Imran Khan has said it before India series to Inzi that MOYO should be promoted to 3.......khair, we still need as SHEZ said, one good stand....I hope Butt and Inzi please do it one more time for us

NOOOOOOOOOOOOoo. how could he throw his wicket like this? totally irresponsible....acccccccccccccccccccccch...Malik bhai, kia kiay?

Yes...a straight ball is useful against Kamal early on. I feel he's a little slow in reaction time too.

It's a good pitch to bowl on thus England should always 'fancy' their chances.
