I found it laboured, lacking intent and frustrating.

47 runs in 9.3 overs.

This is one of the problems with Pakistan's batting at the moment in that they go into their shell so quickly, lack positivity and just put pressure on themselves. Very few singles, hardly any boundaries and putting no pressure on the bowling side.

I think it is the right approach in these middle overs. A wicket or two while trying to accelerate can result in below par score, Pakistan need to keep wickets in hand till 42 overs and then accelerate.

47 in 9 overs is bad?

We need to stop criticizing every little thing.

Loool come on man why do we need to criticise everything, would you rather they both get out trying to score quicker? Nothing wrong at all with the partnership

Pretty normal middle overs partnership & played the platform for a 300+ score. 7/10 partnership under the circumstances- no problem here.

there were three of four overs in a row where they only scored one or two runs
I think there was a panic in the dressing room about collapsing and the main reason was hasan ali wasn’t in the starting xi

I just feel these are the small margins which are the difference between 300 and 330.

Very curious. Hafeez has been batting like a whirlwhind, and it was very curious to see him bat today. I have a feeling it was more to do with the fact that Malik was benched and he didn't know at what rate he has to go as a batsman. Maybe he is afraid he is next in the firing line.

When Hafeez doesn't get going with the boundaries, he proves to be costly because his strike rotation is abysmal.

Holllllyyy we have to find something, even small things to criticize even after a win. Just enjoy the victory, it wasn't even bad and no wickets were lost.

Not everything in a game is always perfect, there's no need to always nitpick little things for the sake of it.

47 in 9.3 overs is decent in the middle overs. Now maybe that could be criticized in a straight flat deck with small boundaries, but that is to see then. For now, good win.

Nope, the period from 11 overs to 20 was worse we only got 37 runs

Babar should have got a century It was a good partnership whilst it lasted. As we all know Hafeez is great to watch.

If Hafeez wasn't coming down the track and bashing the spinners with ease you know it wasn't a flat wicket. They did a good job 47 off 57 is better than 7 of 14, I'll take it.

Hafeez was main culprit. Almost 3 overs babar took single on first or 2nd ball, and the legend played fots in rest of the overs

Can't afford these mistakes and inefficiencies in the middle overs against better sides. Hafeez being 38 years old and the most senior player in the playing eleven needs to repay the faith the team management and the country is showing in him

our captaincy wisdom is questionable , hafeez is good for last 20 but he was sent early. Haris sohail was there for this position. You should be talking about hafeezs innings as it comprised 32 of the 57 deliveries they faced and babar scored 25 in 25 deliveries in the partnership.

It was poor. I logged out of the game after a few overs of their partnership and expected Pak to put up an ordinary total.

I just feel these are the small margins which are the difference between 300 and 330.

The small margins were after Fakhar got out and Imam decided to eat up dots balls along with Babar.

Pakistan would have struggled to post 260 without the excellence of Haris Sohail yesterday. He played a blinder!

Hafeez is innings was without any intent or plan. Playing cricket for what like 20 years yet he has no clue what to do. Also the way he got out sweeping vs a full ball !

SR was like 60 odd. Pathetic.

I was there and the Hafeez sucked the life out of the innings and once again he was dropped early in his innings. Had it not been for Haris, we would have petered out for 260-270 odd...
