To date it - for summer 2017 going forward to WC19.

Who would make it?

Imagine it is for a 2 series v ROW of 5 games- 1 in Asia, 1 away. The same team to play (or from squad of 14).

Pretty good side but I would replace Dhawan with Babar Azam. And Fizz can't be in the team in this point in time. He's too average atm. I would play Bhuveneshwar Kumar in the XI and would bring in either Junaid or Taskin or Bumrah.

why is seven hells would you not make sarfraz as the captain after even including him? and why would you not include junaid khan?

Tamim comes as the 3rd opener over Sharma, while Sarfraz can't make as a specialist Captain; Mushi is batting really well these days. Since Dickwella can keep also, I kept Sarfraz out of squad. Angelo can bowl medium pace, therefore Pandeya misses out. Nabi is the off-spinner in this team & he is quite effective with bat. It's a tight call between JK & BK, but I picked BK for his recent exceptional end game, he was always decent with new ball. Mustafiz'll come in squad only if it's dry, cracking surface over BK/JK, otherwise he isn't effective.

I'll have to make one change in the squad, as I analyzed runs by position - Mushi's runs are scored at 4 mostly, a spot he'll never get in this team, while Sarfraz actually has batted at 6; which makes him better suited in this squad & this team needs late middle order scores, thus he leads the team as well.

I question the people who have Kohli as captain...the guy panicks like Sarfraz did in that first game vs India against any opposition whenever there is pressure. As a batsman tho, he will still make it as he's very good.

I am no fan of India's team (respect the quality, but not a fan), but at a minimum Kohli, Rohit and Bhuvi should make it. Given age, MSD may be past it.

Yeah these 6th 7th 8th rank teams have all atgs like fakhar shakar, while india which rarely go outside world top 3 teams in rankimgs have only one good player loll.....And that too bde dil waale hi isliye.

This is a joke!

Pant isnt even in the Indian team. MSD is past it. Pandya has achieved nothing. Bhuvi is not the bowler who would be a sure starter. He averages 40!

What has sarfraz achieved by batting?who in which world considers him world class ?? or babar azam ?? Tamim also has recently started to perform great and now he is getting recognization. Ok so you will check bhuvi avergage but you wont check msd average ??? why it is so?
Msd has still in him. He is excellent wicket keeper plus batting wise also he is not gone case. Yuvraj is finished though
Plus i am not even mentioning rahane, Kl rahul they are all world class players.Rishav pant ypu will see where he will be after 2 years comparing to fakhar who has made it to this list .

Team who most of the time represents asia in top 3 best teams in the world should have atleast 6-7 players.

Check my list. Did I include half the players you are ranting against?

MSD is a legend but the team is eyeing to WC19. Consider this.

Kohli, Shakib, Amir, Rohit, Mathews are the must have players. 6 slots (9 inc subs) are open for debate.

Amir batting ahead of Jadeja?

Also, how about Sarfraz moving up to #5 and everyone else moving down a spot? If the team needs acceleration, Mathews and Pandya can then move up.

Actually, I'd probably have Shakib over Mathews for the extra spin option.

Lastly, Bumrah over Fizz?

Safraz in place of Rahim as captain otherwise spot on. It matters when Viv says Sarfraz makes wickets fall with his tactics.

what's the fascination with mark wood? Yes he's phaast and took a 4 fer in the CT against Australia, but he's more Wahab than Waqar; averages a scarcely plausible 42 with the ball. to put this in perspective, rahat ali would be an upgrade on this fellow.
