The complexity of getting married

It's funny though, growing up, all the army officers had batsmen. I had visions of them fetching veggies for the fat army aunties during the day and fighting crime in tights at night.

The complexity of wooing a Girl

Why did that friend (girl) spam you in the first place?

Or was it a spammer who insulted you?

Some absurd random incident like this doesn't change the fact bud. :)

A case of semi-hacking is always a possibility on Twitter, a particular type of case where a person is able to do everything but doesn't get to know about the messages sent from one's account. She was a random follower anyway, like this guy.....

This situation reminded me of those crazy PPP-slogans..

Tum kitnay topic-less maro gay,
har thread topic-less niklay ga

Just saying :22:

Mamoon, what if she starts talking to someone with whom you DON'T have good gup shup?

Want to share a funny incident with u guys. Today my hubby played guitar and sang 'tum hi ho' and some other romantic songs with my name. I was shell shocked and never expected a song from him eventhough i knew he can play guitar. It was soo cheesy and horrible but I absolutely loved it..:D

Hope, BATMAN don't mind my post since this can come under wooing ur wife..;-)

^ That's so sweet, kaayal! Aww! :)

Too bad we can't expect that from Mamoon at this stage.. He's too shy!

He plagiarised my idea though: I had planned to sing "Tum hi ho" at my own wedding. I will now settle with "Tere bin" by Rabbi Shergill. I always have a back up plan you see.

Your plan included her talking to someone with whom you hopefully have good gup shup. If you don't, what do you do? Butt in on her conversation?

I have good gup shup with every guy in the family, but of course there are a few I am not very frank with and can't or wont interrupt their conversations.

That would be an unfortunate complication. :adnan

I know all of them very well. For some reason she's the only one I have never talked to.

Yes. I am really frank with the one that is married to my cousin. The other lives in the UK and I haven't met her much.

Why didn't you tell us this before?

How would you think your impression is on the sister whom you're frank with?

I think it was fairly obvious because she's married to my first cousin. Well she likes me obviously but I can't tell whether she likes me as a future husband for her younger sis.

gup shup is the funniest word ive ever heard of. lol. gup shup

Back in the 70s there was even a show called Gup Shup. The intro song was very catchy, just simple chords on an acoustic guitar and random snippets of Gup Shup. I've forgotten it now, but it went something like "Gup Shup. Suno Gup Shup..."

Families work in weird ways, we can't guess, you have to be clear with us!

Have you considered talking to that sister about PB?

Lol. I dont care im not pronouncing it differently :P

Gonna stalk my asian friends and just whisper "gup shup" and see their reaction lol.

Gup shup :)))

donal u should look up a video where people are saying gap shap and then u will understand.

For Heaven's sake. That is extremely awkward. Where to begin?

Nevermind. You're right, you can't do it.

What about that other cousin who approved your choice? Can s/he put in a good word for you to PB's sister?

Until ramadan comes, we might have to pursue the back channel :batman:

Think the word cup.

Replace the c with g and again with sh

Thats how im saying it.

Mamoon has good gup shup with BL

That is right.

But Mamoon probably hates my guts by now :))

He's getting married in December, that's close.

It's not like your mom is going to do anything about it before he gets married.

"The complexity of getting married" that is! I fear the "Joota chupayi" ritual the most. The most well and truly as a bridegroom:(.

"Gup" alone as a word signifies a lie, a particular type of lie told to impress. For example, yourself telling us that you are good at German was obviously a gup.

No no never. I can't pull that off.

You know, when he would finally pull it off in telling her, and if she responds positively one day, I can imagine our guy going through a strange euphoria which I went through the day Ellyse Perry responded to my message:). What a morning that was, what a moment it was to check my email from my cell phone and then.... hugs and congratulatory words from every family member! I am not comparing the situations or the cases, rather instead just the act of the fulfillment of a dream.

It's impossible to study math when every other question is asking you to find PB or calculate the value of AH.

Thanks a lot, Mamoon.

I'm sorry. :arafat

Tip: say "shorry" for the Pakistani girls. They find it cute. Works for me at least. If she is already impressed, preferably attack her with "I am sho shorry" with an innocent look on your face.

Thanks.

*@96NotOut my girl, not meant for you:).*

"Sho shorry" is something girls say... :P

Yes, its girly. Poor advice by Dhoni. :msd

Hmmmm.... Works for me at least. First I mesmerised a girl by telling her that I will cook after marriage, and then completely 'cutenised' her by saying that I won't cook the day when we will make something of meat etc. because it scares me.

First world problems.

For us third world middle class citizens, marriage means having to arrange money for the solitaire for engagement, gifts for her cousins and extended family, elaborate wedding (if you try to cut corners here you will be reminded of your folly for your entire life), honeymoon expenses (not just flight tickets and lodging charges, but the shopping she will do), a car for her, HD tv, air conditioner, washing machine (you will be the one doing the laundry), king size bed, matching curtains, clean rooms and socks kept at the right place..things you never bothered about when you were single.

But marry you should. For all the troubles she will give you, she will be the who will hug you and pet you. Keep her happy and she will keep you happy.

You married?

I read somewhere where you said you were about to be married.
