The reading for China briefly returned to pre-pandemic levels during its celebrations for the lunar new year in February—owing in part to record-breaking box-office receipts. Meanwhile Vietnam, which imposed restrictions after its first significant wave of covid-19 infections caused by the more transmissible Delta variant, continues to prop-up our table.

I do not know how we handle Covid-19 when majority pf people still believe there is no Covid.
People in Pakistan still believe world is lying about Covid.
I was in Pakistan last year. I was waring mask. yet people were making fun of me that i am scared of Covid.
people still believe covid was propaganda against Muslim not to perform Haj and Umra.
I know so many people who got their fake vaccination card for 300 rupees.

But are people dying in greater numbers than the "oh so educated" Europeans?

Masks are mostly psychological, there are states in America where hardly anyone wears masks yet their cases are lower than European nations where masking is common

Did India, inspite of such a long lockdown achieve better covid results than Pakistan?

I still remember when Pakistan decided to keep Masajid open for Ramadan 2020, doomsday predictions came on how Pakistan will have tens of millions of cases and hundreds of thousands of deaths because of the open mosques, unlike in India where they were supposedly keeping everyone safe

They don't have the balls to debate on the issues. Remember the Nooras and PPP wanted a lockdown and the PPP lockdown Karachi without any plan and lied about the package and were humiliated in SC. The Nooras brought SS back to save us from Corona and later said the whole thing was fake. We are not out of the woods yet and there will be more twists with this pandemic but IK has done an incredible job with little or no resources. To put it in perspective some idiot was talking about PK borrowing increasing but not mentioning the pandemic at all.PK has borrowed around $10bn for the pandemic, UK close to $800b,America 5 trillion and even a poor country like Ind borrowed over $400bn.

The thing is you were not there in pakistan and do not know entire situation. When i was there whenever you call someone in Pakistan you used to get automated messaged that Public is doing so great by following the SOPS and by not coming out of the house, by wearing masks.
yet there was no such things. no one wore mask, there were no SOPs, weddings were allowed up to 300 people.

i can tell about karachi, SOPs were followed here, dont know about other cities.

i would not doubt that.
In my city there was nothing like that. I even can uploads videos of my uncle when he was caught with 20 female customer in his shop while gates were down.

Has to be a factor or multiple factors that need to be studied, and it has to be genetics.

Failed to understand how some countries, despite having little to no resource, and having non-existent/non-adherence to social distancing had remarkable outcome while other countries, followed social distancing, etc, had the worse outcome.

Pakistani and Indians have almost similar genetic make up of DNA, both countries has some of the highest number of comorbid illness (diabetic and CVD) yet, India had more deaths due to delta variant.

- Testing is substandard. many times people tested land in countries and test positive. this has happened to at least 5-6 people i know of in last 6-12 months who flew from Pakistan to UK / USA
- Testing if fraudulant. Chugtai labs fudged pak cricket team tests last year and some labs are still fudging travel tests and event related tests using rishwat
- Tracking of people is non-existent in terms of covid in pakistan. India and Bangladesh despite their population density is way ahead

have you ever read something like hospital and graveyard full with dead bodies etc, i am in Pakistan and most of my friends and family members lives in different cities. i havent seen or hear anything.
