The reverse swing was murdered, the doosra died in an accident, and now the beautiful hook shot is dead. What next?
I have not seen a single hook played by the batsmen in any of the limited overs cricket in recent past. Thanks to the rule makers who thoroughly make things harder and harder for the bowlers.
If we really want to see quality than I would say that allow bowlers to bowl at least 2 bouncers an over / block and allow it to be up to 2 inch above head height. This way we will see how these modern day hacks can get away with things. I am kinda fed up of seeing 10-12 runs an over being scored like child’s play these days. A boundary does not give the same excitement as it used to in them good old days.
Something really needs to be done!
