pak missed many good chances in this game... But overall, I am fine with these guys' performance... There is no structure for hockey in Pakistan.

How long do you think before cricket and hockey will go to minnow level ?

I don't see a way up looking at how corruption and mismanagement is sweeping pak sporting bodies.

In hockey they are already minnows.getting beaten by China, Malaysia, nz , korea etc.they lost finals in the second tier league finals to nz .nz govt denied funds to their hockey board have a pak new life to participate in premier league now.even against India, they won 1 out of last 15/16 i think.

Maybe they need to let performance enhancing drugs become widespread, like it is in India.

Pakistan decides not to send junior hockey team to India for World Cup

The government has decided not to send Pakistan’s junior hockey team to India for the upcoming Junior Hockey World Cup, officials said on Thursday.

The decision was taken after a high-level consultative meeting in Islamabad.

According to the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), the International Hockey Federation (FIH) has been informed of the government’s decision.

Sources said the move was made in view of security concerns for Pakistani players.

The Junior Hockey World Cup is scheduled to be played in India from November 28.

This stupidity will have serious consequences. Unlike cricket, hockey doesn't have multiple tournament hosts like earlier as mostly hosting is a loss . Only india is bearing the losses as its govt sponsored instead of a private companies.So govt is happy to bear the cost at the expense of public money for the sport. Every alternative tournament is hosted by india and avoiding it only hurts the team deeper.
