Every team needs a Lance Klusner’s right? ...right arm fast bowler and left handed pinch hitter. Albeit a poor man’s but such is the state of the nation.

So does Haris Sohail's absence and Hasan Ali's injury open a role for Faheem in Pakistan side? Is it possible?
Might do okay with bowling. Needs a lot of work with his batting and fitness though.
He is not good enough to build an innings. Lack of FC cricket, as an all-rounder is evident. He will be alright when he has to come in and bash a few around, but will be found wanting if needed to play a substantial innings. This innings will have a disastrous effect long term for Pakistan. He may have cemented his place for another 2 years with these 3 sixes. Truth is he's nowhere near good enough to hit consistently.
I think it's overly optimistic to call him an allrounder after this knock. Every tailender these days can play shots like that. Its a massive improvement on his account though.
Last Time I remember him doing anything of note was against Bangladesh in a warm up match against them in the CT 2017. Apparently we chased down a mammoth 300+ in that game. There was high praise of Faheem's hitting ability back then.
It was worst bowling in last 5 overs i have seen in few years. They kept feeding him short of length with good bounce. No yorkers, no varations. Only 1 good over by Santner and he played like a talender.
I agree, I posted this on the match thread as well. It seemed as if they only knew how to bowl short because they saw our batsmen struggle against them in the beginning. Atrocious bowling, can't believe we gave that newbie 4 wickets. I can't remember the countless number of trundlers our batting have made to look good by gifting wickets away to them.
Being an Indian, i fought with my roommates to watch Pak vs NZ rather than Ind vs Oz because i wanted to watch Haider Ali bat. Its disappointing. What a terrible soft dismissals by Pak top order. Can't believe Hafeez has the nerve to say he couldn't read bounce. He has been touring Nz for more than a decade. Even debutant bowler was surprised to see how Pak threw away wickets. He didn't bowled any special delivery.
