The Walking Dead [Use Spoiler Tags!]

While I've enjoyed the episodes, it seems like we just wasted half a season and next week's mid-season finale is essentially back to where we were in the previous season's finale.

Exactly.

I don't get why the Governor is attacking again? Yeah he was wrecked by Rick's group so he probably wants to seize the prison out of revenge but why so soon when he barely has the manpower? From the governor's pov, half of Woodbury moved there and is still currently living there (since he obviously does not know so many people died) so what makes him think that he stands a chance?

Writers? What are you doing?
But I did enjoy this episode though. Had a fair amount of action, compared to the previous episode.

Wow...what an awesome mid-season Finale. Amazing!!!!
Although I wished this (what happens in this episode) happened in the last season finale, it maybe came at the right.

Great stuff!!

Brilliant episode though I was a bit dissapointed at how easily rick got beat up and that there was no carol

He got quite a few punches in. He did get shot though, and Michonne was always supposed to kill the Governor. It was way too personal between them.

Action packed episode. The minute Herschel and the Governor talked about daughters, I knew Herschel would die.

Michonne and Daryl are badass.

Loved the episode! the governor met his end kind of in a hurry but it was a good episode

Didn't like Michonne killing of the Governer, it was so predictable.

Would've liked someone like Lizzie, Carl or Daryl to take him down.

In any case, I would have preferred to see him as a walker.

Herschelle had to die - the prison angle had ran its course and it needed a change to move the show forward. A one legged old man is just a liability on the road.

Did anyone else found Daryl shielding from semi auto weapons by using a zombie?

That was cringeworthy.

I was expecting Lilly (the Governor's gf) to kill him off as he was strangling Rick. She did though, but only after he was already half dead.

I loved the finale overall but the lack of continuity in filiming the scenes was weird.
Firstly, when Rick fell behind the overturned bus when he got shot, everyone started shooting and the Gov's team came over the fence and were walking in with the tank while firing. And the front camera shot of Governor's group approaching showed that there was no one behind that bus. And even the group seemed to forget that Rick was hiding behind it since no one bothered to turn around and shoot him, including the Governor.

And when Michonne killed the Governor and helped Rick up, Rick ran to Carl and they found out Judith was gone etc etc..where the hell did Michonne go during this whole time? She wasn't there at the very end of the episode either, when Carl and Rick were leaving with the shot of the burning prison behind them???

Also the distant shot of Rick talking to Governor's brigade was in the afternoon but the closeups of them talking were in the evening. Then finally when Herschell was beheaded, it was afternoon time.
It probably doesn't matter to many folks but filming continuity anyone????

Overall the episode was pretty great. I loved the way Daryl blew up the tank.

Also since that little girl practically saved Tyreese's life, I'm assuming she is the one who killed Karen and David and, Carol helped her burn the bodies.

Yea LOL bullets should have gone straight through the zombie.

Was good but a little too predictable really.

Count on M'uricans to blow up the fortress they need to protect themselves from the undead :))

Re: The Walking Dead

Hmmmmmm

That's an interesting theory

I'm pretty convinced Lizzie is feeding walkers the rats though

Yeah that's definitely her.

I always suspected her for the murders tho. The handprint on the door was too low. Carols' confession was too shady plus Lizzie also very noticeably fake-coughed while she was in the sick cell block with the other patients although I'm not really sure why.

Anyways all this was circumstantial stuff until the mid season finale. She shot the woman right between the eyes with a handgun at quite a distance. She definitely had experience. The fact that writers made Lizzie save Tyreese (poetic) also builds up the theory.

Lizzie vs Hit-girl (from Kick-ass) , who would win?

K my bad Mamoon I thought it was a spoiler.

I can't restore your post but I can offer an apology for over stepping my mark or for offending you in any way.

Its okay, I have a big heart :afridi

Don't get me wrong, I love character development but this is just lazy writing. On top of everything, the plot advances because of stupid decisions from characters like not locking the door, going out alone, burrying the dead in the farmland, splashing pig blood or doctor blood on your face, not clearing the fence hourly, living in a prison rather than in woodburry,... And it gets excessively previsible: grenn won't die now, carroll didn't kill the people, the little girl did, the little girl isn't sick but faking,...

Walking Dead the game is the only one I'll be anticipating from now on.

You can call me Nostradamus from now on.

I finally got around to it and I can't believe what happened. It was a fantastic episode and I'm cautiously confident that the little baby survived. Yes there was blood in the child seat but I know she made it. This episode was too overwhelming for me tbh. I think lizzy and her crew still have the baby

Brilliant mid season finale. So much action. Good to see the governor finally bite it. David Morrissey was so good. He was almost pitiable in the 6th episode and back to being the monster in the 7th and 8th episodes. Looking forward to season 4b. Won't be surprised if Carol becomes a formidable antagonist. And will we see Negan? :13:

I am now obsessed with the series Walking Dead, and started reading the comic books- I came across a website with the first 52 comics for free, well I'm done with those and would like to start reading 53+

Any idea what website would have these for free to read or download??

what are the chances carol will turn up in the next series with Rick's baby and all will be forgiven?

that's my predicition

In American stories, kids and dogs do not die. Blacks and Hispanics are the first one to go :)

Thought Carol showing up was weird. I did think she'd join the group, but she kind of just casually walked into the scene.

The Maggie/Glen ending was kind of annoying, but oh well.

Other than that, enjoyed tonight's episode.

Excellent episode again. I agree with GC, carol showing up was weird.
Lizzie almost suffocating judith was even worse...
Great to finally see Abraham introduced into the show. What will happen next? How will the group reunite??

Big fan of this show, the last episode was good, finaly something to look for with that Dr Eugene.

Intrigued by the Dr character.

The scenes with Rick in the house were some of the best in a long time for this show.

Strong episode in terms of character development, but frustrating that they couldn't advance the plot at the same time.

Another brilliant episode....
Daryl seems to be in trouble...
where is Beth???????
Seems like everyone is heading for Terminus. What will Terminus be??

Weird episode.

The slow scenes were extremely boring.

The action scenes were extremely awesome.

Was that house suppose to be some kind of trap lol? The events with the trio was just needless drama and a waste of time.

Superb episode, definitely picked up the pace going into the last 2 eps.

One of the saddest episode ever....every single episode had something in it since the mid season finale. They were kinda all sad, but this is truly brutal to the audience.

This was the only good episode in season 4. Reallt gutsy thing to do on a channel like AMC.

Is this TV series an upper tier ellite show like Breaking Bad, GOT or does it belong amongst LOST, californication etc.

Thinking of watching it soon, just don't want to get too hooked given examination period.

It's far from GOT and Breaking Bad. Season 1 was on level with lost but, overal, it's not much better than true blood.

I actually don't like True Blood either so I want no blame :yk

What's the best horror TV Show out there now? i value your opinions :yk. I remember i had watched the first season of breaking bad and Lost and i remember arguing with you how mezmerised i was by Lost in comparison to breaking bad and that i was better etc :))

Lost and GOT are my personal favourite shows but breaking bad is one of the best TV series ever made and a league above Lost. (i am yet to watch the final two seasons of breaking bad and final season of Lost yet).

It is not horror per se but Hannibal is pretty chilly, especially inside Grant's head.

There is a french horror show called the Returned which is on the same level as The Walking Dead, if not slightly better.

However, I don't think there is any horror show that comes close to The Walking Dead's first season, directed by Darabont and with a much higher budget than later ones.

I agree with you on BB. It is far from my favourite either but I can admit it is up there with the best, if not the best.

PGA: It may be on same level as Red Wedding but an episode like that is supposed to be the cherry on top of the cake. If the cake doesn't taste good enough, the cherry won't taste as well as it could.

Different people will say different things but according to me it is up there with Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones.

Just look at the ratings. Plus it is an AMC show. The actors are brilliant and really take you to a post apocalyptic zombie world.

It had potential to be in the upper tier but the writing in the past two seasons has been eh and has dropped it in my eyes.

Nowhere close to BB or GOT.

It's a time passer with the occasional brilliant episode. Season 4 sucked until this episode.

Fantastic episode, like most others was just becoming a bit stale but this was a terrific epsiode.

Dissapointed by the response, i had high hopes for this show. I guess the first season will be worth watching though

Still i got to give it to them for going with the zombie concept, has not been done too many times never easy to implement. Will check Returned out.

It's on channel 4 but I can send you a link by PM.

Here is what the master of horror has to say about it.

"Watching THE RETURNED. Scary and sexy. Fun to see a foreign TV show that hasn't been Americanized. That kid Victor's giving me nightmares."

Lizzie should have been fed to the walkers rather than shot in the head.

Very good episode again..i am getting more and more curious what this terminus is. We got a little glimpse of it and I feel it seemed very very weird.

In the comics they are supposed to meet people called "hunters" who eat alive people as food (they're cannibals). I got this odd feeling, the gang with Daryl and this terminus are cannibals

So they could have just found a car and drove around the tunnel? I understand Glen has Maggie on the brain but c'mon. A little bit of common sense can be applied.

So if I heard correctly, the gang that Darryl is with doesn't want to be in Terminus, they're just looking for Rick? Was that guy who they said recognized Rick the one that was thrown on the floor on the bedroom? Thought his "friend" had killed him.

I liked how they tied the beginning and ending scenes together with the candy wrapper.

Terminus is bad news, the smiling old lady offering them food at the end was enough for me.

lol @ the army guys finding a car that quickly :))

They should have break into 2 groups before entering that Terminus building. 1 group should have entered earlier and the other few days later.

Glen is an idiot, reminds me of the kind of people who have never had a girlfriend so when they do finally get one they're whipped :133::sami

The group is chasing rick and i cannot be bothered looking who might have seen rick but im guessing it was the guy who was choked unconscious and saw rick while he was passing out.

Haven't read any of the source material but that lady at the end had a real cannibalistic vibe

sort of reminds me of Cormac McCartney's The Road

Can not belive i didnt notice this before

this a defaced painting Samurai lady picks up in an earlier Episode

season 4 finale today...what do you guys think will happen?
Overall I have to say it has been a see saw season. My favourite episode was episode 8, the mid season finale. It was a little slow after that.

omg what a blast of a season finale. As good as the mid-season finale. We finally got to know what terminus is. One poster stated it correctly. Some really gore scenes in the season finale.
Now I can't wait until october.
