The Walking Dead [Use Spoiler Tags!]

Intense season finale, the theme of food and farming throughout the ep hinted to what Terminus really is.

That scene of Rick cannibalizing was awesome.

I was expecting more of terminus sadly that was a downer for me. Now we are left with big cliffhanger

Not really...it just showed the role change Rick went through when things were getting normal in the prison. Showed that he wanted his son to learn other things and not just shooting (as was shown he was too interested in guns before farming).

Anyone noticed the human remains when Rick & co. were running from bullets in terminus?

Second this regarding the flashbacks.

Yup, definitely noticed.

The delay with Carl at the end was weird.

The way he had been acting the entire episode, I really thought that he was going to turn around and try to be a "hero" and start firing away.

But they hyped it up and then he just walked in the crate. It's like they had time to kill and told him to take his time.

Are they Cannibals?!

Especially with the bbq scene where they are grilling big chunks of meat....but from where exactly?! Is there enough deer going about for a steak fest?! Also in the chase scene, the special care taken in not killing them but rounding them up like cattle.

Could just be my imagination running wild.

Whoever the people at terminus are. At least they aren't good folk. most likely cannibals

Tyrese and Carol are yet to arrive. Perhaps they will save Rick and the co.

Yep i noticed the human remains :)

I hate it when TV shows have to end a season. Speaking of which im getting ready to watch 'How i met your mother' finale :(

^ It was good series finale imo, some didn't like it but I didn't mind

Not sure about that. I think there was a hint given when the camera zoomed onto the steps of the boxcar where they showed baby formula.
Could be co-incidence. Nothing was given away.

I don't know what will happen next. Someone has to save them otherwise all of them will die. Don't know who else is left to save them. Since they showed baby formula, I assume carol/Judith might be in terminus. Maybe they were smart enough and tyrese stayed back to look for Sasha. Don't know what may happen. Maybe some new character may come and save them. Who knows Morgan may return to the show. Or probably Beth may return and go crazy on these terminus people. This is not a spoiler, it is just my theory. In the end you might be right about carol/Judith/Tyrese. They may not be in terminus yet.

Also, don't forget Rick hid the guns. If they manage get out he knows where the weapons are. That for once was a smart move. If I was Rick, I would've gone inside with Daryl or Michone, leaving two of my people outside as back up. Lets what 6 months to see what happens. :)

Rick hid a gun in Carls hat :youngster :amir

Disagree, don't think Carol/Tyreese/Judith arrived yet. I think that milk is what is being fed to those held captive.

Yup that's why I said nothing was given away. Maybe they are not in terminus yet. Nothing was given away. The baby formula would just be something with the current survivors, as they're using it as food. Nothing is revealed.

So where do you people think where Carol/Tyrese/Beth/Judith are?

I seriously have no idea!!

I predict Tyrese or someone else (maybe Morgan) may save the group. Rick and co. will somehow sneak out and get their guns, and kill everyone. Because as Rick said: "they're screwing with the wrong people"

Again, that's only my prediction, I might be wrong...

Didn't think of morgan but maybe he was the one burning those zombies that attack carols group . Doesn't seem that far fetched fleet it to be him, that's what we was doing last we saw of him. Maybe he meets up with carol/tyreese ?

I believe those burning zombies were from the house that Darryl/Beth lit on fire.

I believe those burning zombies were from the house that Darryl/Beth lit on fire.

This thing about the last half of season 4 is that a lot of uncertainties exist. That could be true, the house may or may not be the one lit by Daryl/Beth. It could be Morgan burning bodies. It could be camp fire too. We don't know. Maybe Carol/Judith/Tyrese are being roasted in Terminus, maybe they aren't there. Maybe someone warned them about terminus. Maybe Beth is being grilled by Mary, maybe not. We still have so many unanswered questions. Maybe someone from season one comes and would save everyone (Morgan or that amigo family from the very first camp).

We may soon know the next season. Why do we have to wait 6 months? :(

great season finale...hopefully they keep up with the finales tempo and not slow it down with the new season.

After starting to give it another watch out of boredom, and while my next TV show downloads, i have noticed a few things during the first few episodes.
During the first scene we notice a zombie girl pick up a toy off the floor. During the later seasons the zombies are just mindless goofballs who roam about.
Also during the same episode one of the zombies tries to open a door using the door handle. Don't remember this happening later on either.
I believe it is in the second episode when the zombies climb fences. Which definitely don't happen later on.
Finally, the zombies use stones, bricks to break through glass.

Anyone know why the zombies have gone from thinking to overcome obstacles to just roaming zombies that do nothing except walk and eat.

In the build up to the season 5 premiere I figured I'd bump the thread

Hopefully the show becomes more consistent in the future, and doesnt contain 6 episodes of awesome and 6 episodes of zzzzzzz

Although considering season 4 was much improved on season 3s ending I have high hopes for this.

Just wanna see Daryl kicking ass! :akhtar:

This show takes itself way too seriously. I mean NO ONE has any fun during an apocalypse. It has been oppressive for so long that if there is minor comic relief introduced, it will stick out badly. I am not talking about turning this into a horror comedy but a bit of satire and self-awareness won't hurt. Even George A. Romero, the father of the zombie genre, had humour in his movies most prominently in Dawn of the Dead. I don't mind grim shows but the zombie horror genre is one that is crying out for a bit of humour.

For fans of the show, check out Z Nation, the new Syfy show. It's faster, funnier and more action-oriented. Not as good in writing as The Walking Dead but that 4.9 rating is ridiculously low. Uppity Walking Dead fans downrating the show to feel proud about their miserable lives.

Wonderful season 5 opener....though I was expecting more to see on terminus and what happens there. Probably 2 episodes should've been great. Nonetheless amazing episode.

Loved the opening episode! Enough with the character development, more fire and zombies!

But won't lie, got kind of soft at the reunion at the end.

Excellent episode. A happy ending for once and great to see Morgan back. Hopefully the gang will meet up.

Unfortunately, the trend of this show is such that one amazing episode is followed by a few snoozeworthy ones. Hopefully this season will buck the trend.

slower episode but a lot is now revealed who the termites (terminus people) are. Now we know why they were bringing people in.
Have to say this is something very similar to what happened in the comics.

What is Daryl/Carol investigating on? Who are the people who took Beth? Maybe we would know this soon.

The last scene made me hungry. A bit of human grill is tempting.

Looking forward to the next episode tomorrow. The last scene was weird though; he didn't even feel or see that his
leg was missing until the camera zoomed out? Yeah sure. It's Governor story all over again with this evil gang, but still interesting

The scene were Gareth and crew walked up to the church and entered was brilliantly done. Super creepy.

So who was with Daryl in the end? Carol or Beth or Both, or someone else?

Great episode I have to say, thankfully it brought an end of a villain. I wish they moved equally in haste in regards to the governor chapter, that went on for a while.

I'll step to you like one, two, walkers in the back of the club.....

I think its Morgan

I think it will be Noah.

This past episode = Yawn

Definitely Morgan...but then I think he would join the group since Michone knows him now, and Daryl doesn't. Rick may intervene...
But well, knowing TWD writers, they could give a twist and it could be Noah as well. You never know. I will be very very interested.

Im pretty sure its Noah.

Carol has been taken by those hospital people so Darol must have followed them and found noah running limping around.

I think it is a plan by carol to infiltrate the hospital, and Daryl is on his own at the moment with Morgan following him with a gun in his hand.

Lets start a pool bet on this :P

Past couple of episodes have been about character building. I think this past episode especially dragged it out.

I miss Rick :(

What a killer mid season finale.....a truly sad one....When Daryl cries, the whole world cries....

A genuine blonde moment for Beth. Incredibly stupid.

Found Maggie crying hilarious though, she couldn't care less about her sister.

Hated the midseason finale. Maggie left for DC without ever asking about Beth, and now she cares?

What Beth did was incredibly selfish (risked an all-out shootout for what exactly?) and made no sense. Seemed like the writers just wanted a character to die. Bad writing in my opinion.

So we spent half a season last year chasing Terminus and then it gets burned down in 1 episode. We then spend half a season trying to rescue Beth and she dies. Ugh.

Agree with this.

One of the worst walking dead episodes tbh.

Why did Beth, as stupid as she is decide to kill dawn (can someone explain to me why she even wanted to kill her please!!) at literally the worst possible time. What purpose was she trying to achieve??

A garbage episode and the writers have totally wrecked the good work they had going this season. Maggie didnt give a toss about Beth and now we're supposed to believe shes devastated?? Please. I mean why on earth did the cops not totally annihilate Ricks group the moment Daryl murdered Dawn??

And if Beth hated Dawn so much why did she not let the cop kill her earlier in the episode??

An awful episode. Not to mention the ending was incredibly rushed, one minute we're outside with Rick and Co. next second the hostages are being exchanged. No scene with Carl waking up and actually talking. Why the hell not??

The season has been wrecked now. 8 episodes in and what has been achieved?? Beths dead and Norman is added. Thats it.

I actually enjoyed this season up to now and actually liked Beth as a character until now. Was hoping Dawn would slaughter the lot of em tbh, she was far better than any of the other cops or half Ricks group. I mean what role does Sasha serve other than to moan nowadays?? Same with the lesbian girl.

Very disappointed. This is why TWD will always be an average show in my eyes, where Game of Thrones and BB excell (making serious moments mean something and actually having characters act properly) TWD falls flat on its face. Clearly the writers had no clue how to resolve this story arc so just half assed it instead.

Also have to point out the absolute disgrace that is the walking deads official facebook page, who spoiled the episode for millions by posting a spoiler after the episode aired in the USA, even though millions dont get to see it until Monday night!!

I avoided it thankfully but my brother wasnt so lucky.

Complete joke IMO

Did everyone catch the ending with Morgan?

Yeah.

Personally I wished they never revealed him at all. wouldve been far better for him to show up unanannounced. Now we've been waiting for him to pop up for ages, which isnt as good to me.

This season has been a mess so far. The writers are running out of material and seem to lack clear direction.

Pathetic ending. Hopefully it gets better from here. Lately, the events seem to be staggered and not well thought out.

Complete failure on their end. It was even worse, they spoiled it for the people on the West Coast in the USA as well.

They apologized today.

I wonder why Maggie was so broken to hear Beth die when she didn't even ask about her once.

Why have I not watched this before? :)

Just watched the very first episode in the first series and really enjoyed it.

Episode 2 now.

Friendly advice.

Have very low expectations for season 2. Season 3 and 4 are decent at parts, whereas the newest season was going fine until the awful season finale.

Season 1 is probably the best season tbh

Just have patience as some episodes can be quite slow, but its worth it.

I really liked all four first seasons, but Season 5 was a let down. Still the best box set out there overall.

The ending was shyte, totally messed up by the writer. Hate it if after watching a good season, writer ruins it by such a ending.

Season 1 has to be the best, and will be I think. Never attained the same level.

Well I'm up to series 2 episode 6.

Loving this, although the blonde haired woman who keeps messing around with guns is quite irritating.

When was it introduced?
Is it the same group that chopped people in half and left them in the truck, as should in the mid season opener?
They were being mentioned on the radio. They're the ones who attacked Noah's town. The walkers all had "W" carved into their foreheads and there was graffiti referencing them.

Darn, those little clues, I didn't pick that one up. Sounds very interesting. Seems like a crazy group. Maybe we would see it next week.

Catching up - now series 2 Episode 10.

What came out of the barn was interesting :)

Shouldn't have killed off that guy in the last episode. Was one of my favorite characters..

1st series brilliant most of the time.
2nd series in my opinion not as good as the first one.
I've watched the 1st episode of series 3 and it was brilliant. Seems like the zombies are even more gruesome.

I thought that was Tyreese experiencing near-death hallucinations.

Up to episode 8 series 3.

Really enjoying this series although the story line of the community headed up by that dodgy guy who's just lost an eye is a bit weird.

I'm a fan of this show, but its going nowhere at the moment.

They move around from one place to other with limited supplies

Encounter an evil group

Fight with the evil group for half a season

Demolish them

Lose a member or two

Superhero Rick Grimes just cannot be defeated our outsmarted, and seems to have a strategic IQ of over 200.

Grown up men get killed, but for some reason Carl Grimes cannot be harmed while nursing a baby that has survived the apocalypse for a
year, and grows healthier with each passing week

REPEAT

I'm not following the comics, and I have no idea how closely they are following its storyline, so unless there is something really fresh and different coming up, I don't see how this redundant show can get through another 4-5 seasons at this rate.

Didn't watch yesterday's episode.

Last night's episode was pretty good actually. One of the better ones in recent past.

It also took a very...let's say liberal turn. People on the official FB page are in uproar.
