So now it is being staged in Malaysia upon request filed by PCB in light of security concerns for the Pak U 19 team in India. Win for PCB or loss of face for BCCI or both? What's your take on it?

IMO, a bit of both to say the least

The Asian Cricket Council on Saturday decided to shift the U-19 Asia Cup tournament from Bengaluru to the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) refused to send its team to India. Owing to the prevailing political tension between the two countries, PCB chairman Najam Sethi raised objections and it was unanimously agreed that the colts continental tournament be moved out of India. According to sources, BCCI secretary Amitabh Choudhary didn't object to the shifting of venue.

Confirmed. Apparently even BCCI agreed for this.

They probably had to save face in saying that but knowing BCCI (all of us do know what they are for i.e. absolute monoply and power for them only, even in the face of Supreme Court orderd reforms), there might be a twist or two to follow soon!

This coming from someone who absolutely abhors PCB and think they are even worse than all world boards combined.

It should have been in Bangladesh. Every match would have probably been sold out there given the interest of their people in cricket.

Anyone saying BCCI will have no problem or they agreed without any resistence...are we talking about the same board who are figting/resisting Supreme Court while being led (in these protests of sorts) by ex-officials who are corrupt to the core and have been disqualified by the court?

These are actually the very officials which prompted Supreme Court to initiate their suggested reforms.

Judging by some, they are taking it as if I or others here are PCB ******* LOL, simpletons:

Im pretty sure PCB and BCCI are both relief to see tournament moved from India.
BCCI were concerned for providing extra security to Pakistani team and also there were visas related issues.

So, Id say moving trophy was win win for both parties.

Does this mean the Asia Cup next year will be moved out of India as well?

BCCI probably agreed quickly since U-19 is mostly TV viewership based only . Wether it is held in India or UAE or Singapore doesn't matter.
Moving Asia cup? That might be another fish to cook and not so easy as this.

BCCI probably agreed with this.

Always remember one thing.

its the govt that doesnt allow our team enter India, not BCCI. Posters often confuse both

U-19 world cup is mostly held in places like Bangladesh, Malayasia, sri Lanka etc for as long as I am following it. No one, including BCCI, mind if it is shifted out of India under the present circumstances.

Unlike PCB, which is under the control of the Pakistan Government, BCCI is an independent body, just like ECB and CA. So BCCI policies are different from the policies of Government of India.

Again depends on how Govt responds.

If that happens, then it's indeed a point - otherwise, U19 Asia cup is ......... you know.

Yes, that will be big news but the stance of PCB ideally should not change, if the U19 team is not safe, then the senior team obviously faces a bigger threat or security concern.

I also don't know if the Indian government will allow Pakistani players in India, ofcourse in the past in multinational events this has never been a problem and it's only the bilaterals that have taken a hit so I hope the indian gives clearance, Otherwise it does makes sense to move it out of India.

BCCI had asked govt for permission to hold the event and asked for security for the tournament...
govt didn't respond at all and they had to agree to move the tournament from India.

Good,no one gives a zilch about such tournaments till it comes to finals, WC though is diff esp if televised well like last time.
