Statswise he has been our best fast bowler since the Champions Trophy but Hasnain hype and Aamir laurels have kept him out unfortunately.
If a batsman starts going after him, he has absolutely no plan B. He just keeps on feeding the batsman at one spot and never goes towards variations. Plus whenever he is bowling under pressure, he tends to bowl no balls.

He can be erratic but my feeling is that’s the case more so in t20. In 50 overs he can tear through middle orders.

I think the same.
He is more suited to ODIs than T20s.
And Shinwari was in great touch too, also outperformed Junaid Khan in the last series against Aus.

Pathetic how Hasnain or even Amir have made it over him for the England series.
In whose position? Most likely Amir will replace JK (should never had been in squad at first place, if they needed a surprise, should have gone for Rauf), therefore only realistic option left is replacing fast bowling all-rounder Faheem. But, Mickey likes Faheem (though not sure still if he believes in that Kluesner comparison....), won't drop him from squad.
Shinwari is a rhythmic bowler, who on his day can produce some really good ones, few unplayables as well, but on his bad days Sarfraz will need to hide him. Doesn't bat at all, fields poor and doesn't look the fittest guy around - he is too risky to take a chance. I would rather think that PAK might be missing a trick by not picking Wahab - what little I have seen him in PSL, he probably was bowling at his career best that time.
Ideally, they should have rested Shaheen, Hasan (or play selectively), and pick Wahab, Rauf for preparatory leg- then the best 3 or 4 of the lot (Amir, Rauf, Wahab, Faheem, JK, Hasnain) joins Hasan & Shaheen in the squad.

Shinwari will either go for plenty of produce a 4-5 wicket burst in 2 overs and its the later which wins games and tournaments. Pakistan should have taken a gamble with him.

The genuine potential for figures of 0-110 will also lose games for Pakistan. There is no assistance for him in England and a player with no plan B will get cleaned out on phattas.

Take off t20 PSL glasses...and refocus on 50 overs. He bowled with good pace and movement against Australia. Looks a much better 50 overs bowler. Looked a lot better than Junaid and Hasnain. Really need him in the final XV instead of Malik perhaps!

Why do you think Hasnain will be taken apart?
He has shown progression and is only 18 years old.
Imagine what experience will he get during and after playing the WC.
It is not only about the WC, it is about the bigger picture.
This is the first time management wants to develop players...

I am sorry, we are talking about a world tournament here. You don't take players to such tournament to develop them. That is was bi-laterals are for. You don't take a 18 year old who has just played 4 List A games and averages 62 and 3 ODIs and averages 78 to UK just to develop him. That does not make any sense. What was the management doing when playing meaningless 5 match series against Zimbabwe? Why were they not trying out these new players? Why was a full strength Pakistan team playing there?

Which ODI has he lost for Pakistan so far? He has never gone for 60+ runs IIRC
