[VIDEO] New Zealand win 1st Test by 101 runs despite heroics by Fawad Alam (102) and M. Rizwan (60)

Good celebration from Rizwan, shows a strong mentality. On the other hand, If he’d scored a 50 in this situation, Abid Ali would have taken off his helmet, pads, shirt, pant, box etc

How can these runs be useless even if he does not manage to complete the job, the rest of the team have to chip in as well. He has more than done his job, and if a good ball beats him so be it.
 
Lol will our team have the cajones to try to go for the win? NZ will have to panic very badly and Faheem Ashraf will have to play a blinder

Pakistan definitely blundered hard when the 2010 they had Younis Khan, Misbah ul Haq, Fawad Alam and Mohamad Yousuf all unavailable or not selected for the Test series against England. The team had no clue whatsoever on how to bat when we had Umar Amin and Umar Akmal as our middle order

Asad shafiq has also played useless innings which have had no impact on result.If fawad can save this test It will be more than Asad useless shafiq has ever done in his career.
 
Wagner already bowling bouncers showing NZ are scared of this being chased down. Good tactic by Pakistan to make them bowl non wicket taking deliveries.

Lets see how Kane reacts to being attacked when he didn't expect it lol. Wow Pak chased 315 against Aus that too in 1994..

That was after oathgate so Yousuf was only called up midway during the series. Younis was either still completing his hearings or had requested a break after the change of captaincy. I think Misbah was there on that tour if I am not mistaken? Maybe I am confusin g it with the our of Australia where he caught Hussey off Asif. Fawad yeah...

Rizwan has been wonderful in overseas tests he has already done more than that mediocre sarfraz Ahmed could do in his whole career.

I know why you are asking.Haris has got the talent but he has regressed so much I don't think he can be persisted with in test format although he can still be useful in Odis.He was the best batsman for Pakistan in 2019 world cup.
Less said about Azhar is better.He is awful he should have been dumped like Asad shafiq.
 
For all the niceties about NZD, the commies definitely need to up their game here.

Our last 3 are basically a 3/4 over job. Yasir and Faheem are hit and miss.
 
Great innings by Fawad, you deserve it for your patience. This is a brilliant innings. I was one of the critics but you have shown why you deserved to be picked.

I must say I doubted fawad with his technique but credit where credit is due he has been absolutely immense along with rizwan both deserve huge credit for this partnership when azhar ali got out I was fearing the worst and nz would wrap up the game.

To save this match will be a great confidence boost for team pakistan
