Assuming India loses at Sydney and Brisbane and NZ whitewashes Pak, Ind would then need to have won 4 tests vs Eng at home .. which is a tough ask.

Now the equation has changed I think after this draw, not sure by how much.
 
This is so strange. I did not know that a man with 12000 first class runs could possible succeed at test level. My worldview is collapsing.

I think in Fawad’s journey there is something everyone of us can relate with. Either because we have already seen or suffered one or more failures in life or because we, inevitably, will as life progresses.

There should be a legal inquiry on why since 2009 fawad alam has been discarded by successive selectors for the test team , I can understand him being dropped in limited overs but this is an absolute injustice on this guy on why he wasn't picked during his prime years

I remember Younis wrote 100 on a ball before Fawad's inning and told him that he knows he'd score a 100. I wonder if he did something similar this time.

Think the selectors were not giving him another slot with the team composition. And I think YK wanted FA to play no matter.
 
Surprisingly both Brendon and Grant haven't spoken about their time at Lahore Qalanders. They played together in the PSL for a couple of years.
 
Honestly if only we had even 2 semi-competent top order batsmen, our line-up would be settled. With the likes of Salahuddin, Ghulam and Saud Shakeel providing quality backup, as well as Rohail deputizing for Rizwan, we’re set in that regard.

This is why I’m in favour of playing Sharjeel. If he can even average 35-38, with Azhar doing a job of blunting the new ball on the other end, you have a competent team.
 
These two need to stay till end to get draw. I don't have any trust on pak Tailenders.
 
Just go for a draw.. This is the danger time.. A wicket brings more.. We've done so well today.. Fawad is repaying the faith.. Great to watch!

Has Wagner stopped bowling short? KW must be really regretting the NZD RR from the 1st innings.

Regardless of if NZD win, they have cut it a little too close.

It would take these NZ bowlers 3 to 4 overs to knock out the last 3 batsman. These situations can change with one wicket. NZ still strong favourites to win
 
Think about how in all those years of foreign tours, fawad Alam could have saved test matches for pak
 
Fawad Alan is a true inspiration to all those facing unbelievable injustices

If we somehow get a draw here, next game we should push for a win.

If Babar is back, would drop Shan for Imran Butt (can hardly be worse). If their is any room to wriggle out Amad Butt and Rohail from the “Shaheens” squad, would do that. Yasir replaced by Amad. Haris by Rohail can hardly be any worse.
 
Pakistan once again does something unpredictable in 4th innings.. from collapsing when least expected to a comeback when least expected as well.

Exactly. I really hope players like Haider Ali and Abdullah Shafique can get a couple of seasons under their belts to develop their batsmanship. They have all the talent in the world but FC cricket will improve their shot selection and their ability to absorb pressure
 
PAK actually can go for the chase today. 244 at less than 5 with two set batsmen against a tiered attack ...
 
We needed this performance, especially after all that 36 all out trolling we've been doing :afridi
 
Needs to add another 50-60 runs and the match will be a lot closer to winning. 5 overs at a time...

A win is certainly possible here, the balls 20 overs old, the Kiwi bowlers are tired, need 4.8 an over. Idk if Misbah feels the same way though he'll be cutting cakes and celebrating a draw as if we won the series so.
 
Any other team would be sledging the hell out of Pak batmen in this situation. These NZ boys are gentlemen. I don't see any other that wouldn't been lippy at this point, would expect the Aussies to be getting personal and abusive.

But the commentators are annoying ,although the batsmen can't hear him we viewers have to.

One wicket and we are done. We need to look for a draw. It will equal to a win from what we have been doing from the past 4 days

They were when Rizwan was timewasting and rightly so. Even then they didn't say much just a little annoyed. Trust me any other team would be playing dirty by now.
 
These commentator panel is the worst of NZ’s commentators. So annoying to listen
