No I’ve always liked Fawad.

I still remember that magnificent innings in the Asia Cup Final. He scored an unbeaten hundred coming at ~20/3.

New ball is 15 overs away and situation isnt suitable to Faheem’s style of play while Pak’s tail doesnt give much confidence unfortunately. These two will have try and grind it out for as long as they can.
 
These 2 are sticking it out pretty well. Nice to see Fawad hitting Wagner a bit, the guy seems perpetually grumpy! Sledging is fine and all, but he just seems like such a moody git.

I feel bad for Fawad robbed of 10 years of his career and i'm glad he's not letting these jackals take this one.

Chris Rogers opened for Australia at age 35-37, averaged about 45 and helped them win overseas series’ in England and South Africa.

Misbah and Younis also did well in their late 30s to help Pakistan gain the #1 Test ranking.

If Fawad can score big consistently, he should play.

Sometimes younger cricketers aren't mature and they don't always have good judgement. Fawad here is doing what i expect of him which is play the balls that come to you, pick your shots and don't get out with a rash shot. However, don't get me wrong anywhere kookaburra is being used i think he will flourish but dukes conditions might be challenging for him.

I'm younger than Fawad and he puts my fitness to shame. You want guys to be patient, i don't care what this NZ commentary is saying saying he's gone into a shell, pick your shots!

But at some point NZ need to really get men around the bat and open up the boundaries.

Kane has been as defensive as Fawad has with his field settings. NZ will not lose from here!
 
This isn’t bad by NZ, let these boys feel comfortable and they will play one shot too many

Poor commentary all round from the NZD peeps. Third or fourth time Fawad has been called Rizwan.
 
Jamieson looking quite dangerous here. Bounce, a bit of movement, and his pace is up.
 
Just tuned in, watching fawad bat for the first time this series. His stance is so ugly, if Pakistan weren't in this situation I'd like him to be out.
 
They have started to play shots which i am not sure about. Need to to play sensible..new ball is going to be key

Notice how the commentators keep talking about Santner’s finger but refuse to mention Rizwan’s injury unless the camera is specifically on Rizwan limping already.
 
What a fight back by Pakistan, they absolutely can be stubborn here and at bare minimum should be able to pull a Razak & Rana vs India and get a draw if they cant win this... How is the Kiwi commentary >? They would be fumingggggggggggggg :)))
 
Rizwan fitness will be tested as he appears hurt and that was before he got hit above pad by Jamesion
