Ramiz Raja’s commentary, post-match presentations, and analysis

"Hafeez has given Rahat a chance (to take a hattrick) by having two slippers."

:))) :)))

Ramiz seems even more hyped up than usual with Danny Morrison around.

Phillip Salt, rubbing the salt (after his catch to remove de villiers) only this guy can come up with these gems

Phil salt chasing a wide one on a hatrick ball,,, ramiz be like' a bit of salt n pepper'

percentage cricket with great commentary! Ramiz bhai is love

Exactly THIS is why Rameez is a LEGEND.

People do not tune into listen to borefests. This was gold and humorous, no matter how bad of a joke you think it was.

It made people smile/laugh.

And yes,

knowing Ramiz, I 100% knew that something on Salt was coming from him.

He indeed waited all night to say something about Salt bhai.

Can somebody upload the interview between Ramiz and faheem at the end of the game there. It was quite legendary.
Thanks Abdullah719

The jokes are so bad that they are hilarious, looking forward to the PSL just to listen to rambo's insights.

Rameez :

"If Livingstone gets a century on debut then it will be a memorable Living-ton.."

“Shadab is as quick as a gun..gun....gun powder”:raja

I didn’t know Shadab was THAT quick:yk

That interview of Wasim Khan was sheer comedy.

No preparation, no clue what to ask him, no idea how to ask the questions.

he's so awkward when interviewing.

he should stick to commentating

Multan Sultan's captain Shoaib Malik is out there, captaining Sultan Multans: :raja

LEGNED!!!!

ATG commentator from Pak like I say.

Pure entertainment and compels you to watch cricket. Compared to borefests who make you turn off the TV or mute.

Alan: made good sound of the bat that shot from Ingram didn't it?
Ramiz: yeah sounded stereo

Other com: good sound off the bat
RR: yeah sounded stereo

What does that even mean?

Dolby and Stereo were two sound standards competing with each other in the time of Rameez's youth. Maybe he was talking about that.

Now calling Rauf, haris Sohail. Then saying you're from Gujranwala, Rauf goes no....Rawalpindi

Ramiz in the space of a few seconds at the presentation ceremony to Haris Rauf:

Gets his name wrong - calls him Haris Sohail.
Gets where he is from wrong - says you are from Gujranwala, Haris says no I am actually from Rawalpindi.

Oh, after celebrating PSL being banned in India you're still watching it?

im not celebrating anything its a lose of human life a mother lost her son,a wife lost her husband, there's nothing to celebrate here.
as far as watching PSL i always followed cricket and it involves psl ipl bbl
as my name suggests .
thankyou,next

lol that was hilarious.

Ramiz 1st question: So yeah your focus is on domestic cricket?
Ramiz 2nd question: how do you see PSL back home?
Ramiz 3rd question: domestic cricket?
Ramiz 4th question: what about PSL...going home?
Ramiz 5th question: so how you improve domestic cricket?

:)))

Talking about Babar Azam and calling him Babar Ali, lols.

Wonder what he has against Babar :)

That imam interview :))) 😁... "err this is my first time in psl".. "err hes my chachu"

Rameez :

"If Livingstone gets a century on debut then it will be a memorable Living-ton.."

:ua

That's actually not bad by his standards. His cricket knowledge is basically zero, so I think people like him as a cricket buffoon, sort of cricket's answer to Citizen Khan.

I would have said Manuel from Fawlty Towers but most of the younger members here wouldn't know who I was talking about.

:))) :))) :))) :))) :)))

Can you tell exactly when was this during the match?! I'd love to watch it now.

:))) DAMN RAMIZ IS A LEGEND!!! :)))

:ua

:ua

:salute

It was in Hasan Ali's over. The last ball of his first or second over when he bowled a bouncer to Babar.

I mean i had heard Babar Zamaan, Fakhar Azam etc. before but this Babar Ali caught me off guard.

He indeed is. Gets carried away far top often due to excitement.

:)) then Babar will ask him to stay in his limits like he asked Zainab :yk

Yeah but it's fun to watch games with Rambo getting excited, makes the viewers much more excited. Like the classical Afridi sixes in that 2014 Asia cup game. "SHAHID AFRIDI YOU BEAUTY" (voice gets really high-pitched).

I would have said Manuel from Fawlty Towers but most of the younger members here wouldn't know who I was talking about.

SVT actually often shows Fawlty Towers in Sweden so even young people know about it.

On topic, Raja is okay. Kinda enjoy him kabhi kabhi

OK, so when David Wiese hit his first six today, did anyone else catch the epic:

"Wiese doesn't need a visa to hit a six". :rp

I don't actually mind Rameez for delivery, I can understand why non-Pakistani fans like him. He's enthusiastic and has a good voice for commentary, very cultured and smooth. Unfortunately he talks absolute nonsense so don't expect any cricket insight from him, if you are okay with him getting his opinion from the commentator sat next to him then he is fine.

"Qalanders remain unbeaten in this tournament" - Post match, right after Qalanders lost today.

"kamran akmal has scored most runs im this years PSL... With the bat that is"
😁😂

Ramiz is a good guy and good commentator. He does come out with corkers though but in terms of Pak English speaking commentators we don’t have much anyway. I rather listen to Ramiz in a Pak game than have no Pakistani commentators at all.

Similar with Tv coverage in UK etc in that it’s better a Pakistani channel shows live coverage than no tv coverage for a Pak match, even if it means annoying repeating adverts and not brilliant coverage.

Called Kamran Akmal "Umar Akmal"
Nothing new but what is new is that how he covers that up,says "What's in a name?".
Great Mr HAFEEZ RAJA!

"I don't think [Aamer] Yamin should be bowling against Ronchi [wrong planning]".

Yamin gets Ronchi next ball.
