Wow. Ramiz is not holding back. I can't believe I'm saying this but Ramiz is spot on in his analysis. Cannot afford to play both Malik and Hafeez. And he's picked a decent squad.
I'm listening to BBC TMS's "CWC: 7 Days to Go" podcast and Ramiz is...brilliant.
He's analysing the teams around the world really well, breaking down their strengths and weaknesses, referring to the numbers etc.
Where is this Ramiz when he commentates ? Shows he can be an excellent pundit when he bothers to do his research.
Yep, hard to believe it was the same person.I don’t believe you
Pakistan's anger is a lot more when they lose to INdia. Actually Windies loss was even more of a hiding than this. That is when they should have showed their anger towards them 105 all out against such a lower ranked side. Even the warm up game was lost to Afghanistan. While India loss is very disappointing every loss has to be treated this way. That is when Pakistan will become a true professional unit. Also they have to shed the tag "unpredictable team" "Which pakistan will turn up". That is not something to be proud of.
Well he’s part of the reason why Pakistan has reached these depths. This genius was the one who directed the changes in domestic cricket back in 2003, citing the need for more bowler friendly pitches. All it lead to was a generation of trundlers being produced and batsmen with no resilience or technique.
There is a difference between bowler friendly pitches and the unprepared trash that is in Pakistani domestic.
I dont think these pitches are what he would have wanted.
Ramiz is a good analyst. He’s right about the excessive hand bandage, shows how soft our players are mentally and physically. Sarfraz should be asked to explain why he bowled first knowing they can’t chase. Absolute idiocy.
I like Afghanistan's kit, reminds me of Spiderman: Ramiz
During the PSL Draft:
Ramiz Raja : Interesting this Jaahid Ali from Bangladesh...
Imran Ahmed Khan = No he is from Karachi
That was awkward and cringey.
He followed that up with: phir Jahid kyun likha hai?
Imran: That's how he spells his name.
You could sense the awkwardness in Imran's voice.

This is beyond cringey and embarrasing.
I actually like Ramiz's commentary. He is a colourful character and it's good to listen to him amidst the morbid and morose commentary of so many other commentators out there. There is a refreshing authenticity in his commentary; yes he goofs up sometimes, but that's part of his charm. He says whatever comes to his mind unlike so many diplomatic commentators who don't want to offend anyone's ego. He is not like the other machine-like commentators like Harsha Bhogle, Manjrekar or the intellectual-types like Bishop and Gavaskar or boring ones like Wasim and Athar Ali Khan. I like listening to him and Warne for their personal opinions, unfiltered and bold.
Yep.
He's our ATG commentator. A treat to listen to.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The guy says the most cringe worthy stuff imaginable.Reminded me of Michael Scott from The Office Season 1.
The commentary for this homecoming series has been absolutely awful.
I wish we had commentators who could do justice to our cricket matches, but I guess they're a reflection if our current team.
So he announces Man of the series without announcing man of the match. Then he has the guts to tell the guest handing the award on why he hasn't handed man of the match award yet!![]()
Read somewhere that Urooj Mumtaz ex Pak women cricketer who has played 48 international matches came into commentary box today and Ramiz asked her whether she has played for Pakistan!
Ramiz should be doing more research regarding cricketers and his fellow or guest commies.

Awful. Isn't she a former captain and current member of the PCB cricket committee as well?

"was it technical issue or lack of intent" Ramiz to Mahmud on BD low total, in the post match ceremony.

Amazing commentary.
Full of banter and entertainment this season.
Loving it. He's the only commentator from Pak worth listening to and provides entertainment.
Doesn't make it boring.
Ramiz is pure entertainment. Best commie to come out of Pakistan and one of the best in the world. He has gotten overly comfortable in his job now, makes a lot of politically incorrect jokes nowadays![]()
Ramiz may not be the best commentator but I rather listen to him than the over the top weird squeaky woman/boy commentator that also has an incredibly high pitch!
And refused to address the Qalandars captain by name.
Very odd.![]()
Yes, that is Urooj Mumtaz.
Super high pitched, really painful for the ears when she screams or is excited.
Arooj is ok honestly.. Id much rather listen to him than Rameez. The later is just delivering one cringe worthy comment after another these days. ''Wiese ka visa cancel hosacta hay, '' Dekhtay hain livingstone live kartay hain k nai'' ''Vince makes a mince of bowlers''. etc etc
Bazeed's urdu commmentary is entertaining.
