[VIDEO] "The tea is fantastic": Captured Indian pilot Abhinandan

And to answer for your other comment, PSL is a hit in Pakistan and it is supposed to be for Pakistanis only. We love it and we love quality cricket in it, afterall it's from that we have such a top T20 side which keeps making to final World Cup rounds while others who claim to be all that pack up early and head home :)

Not sure why PSL would matter with others and honestly domestic leagues aren't supposed to be followed by other nations anyway. Just like IPL as no one cares about it outside India to actually watch and follow it, and no millions of Indians watching it outside India doesn't count for "global level". I personally haven't seen any IPL matches since season 1 when Akhtar played, honestly never had the urge to watch another country's domestic cricket...BBL is exception.

Ofcourse in your books you have won four wars.... Losing half of Kashmir in 48, and going back in coffins from Lahore in 65, and begging US to be rescued in Kargil etc aren't really called winning wars. No point of talking history, we witnessed a modern mini war and we all saw who walked all over whom and the other side couldn't respond with any aggression after that. A lesson in form of total humiliation was served in a warm hot platter for India.

Pakistan doesn't give two hoots about attention from India. Not sure why you guys think you are all that, and neither we care about extremist BJP running your country, they have already caused enough downslide so you can continue with them. You are a third world country with severe poverty and hunger crisis, so you have better things to concentrate on.

Great post. Also some sincere advice to our Indian bros, please learn how to safely secure wiring before trumpeting your first world credentials. In this day and age tripping over loose cables is not acceptable in the first world.

Well, delusions grandeurs. Of course you wouldn't want to talk about history because that is very humiliating and hence claim victory by capturing 1 prisoner of war :91:

PoK was formed during partition and thereabouts in 1948 when an upspring was formed against Maharaja of Poonch. It was not a victory of Pakistani army. Since then Pak has fought 4 wars to take the remaining Kashmir from India but still Indian flags fly high in Srinagar. Its a fact and no book has taught me. What do you mean by going back in coffins in 1965? In a war there will be causalities of course. Do you know how many Pak soldiers died before cease fire? Below are some international neutral versions of the war in 1965:

According to the Library of Congress Country Studies conducted by the Federal Research Division of the United States

The war was militarily inconclusive; each side held prisoners and some territory belonging to the other. Losses were relatively heavy—on the Pakistani side, twenty aircraft, 200 tanks, and 3,800 troops. Pakistan's army had been able to withstand Indian pressure, but a continuation of the fighting would only have led to further losses and ultimate defeat for Pakistan. Most Pakistanis, schooled in the belief of their own martial prowess, refused to accept the possibility of their country's military defeat by "Hindu India" and were, instead, quick to blame their failure to attain their military aims on what they considered to be the ineptitude of Ayub Khan and his government.

Devin T. Hagerty wrote in his book South Asia in world politics:

The invading Indian forces outfought their Pakistani counterparts and halted their attack on the outskirts of Lahore, Pakistan's second-largest city. By the time United Nations intervened on September 22, Pakistan had suffered a clear defeat.

Dennis Kux's India and the United States estranged democracies also provides a summary of the war:

Although both sides lost heavily in men and material, and neither gained a decisive military advantage, India had the better of the war. New Delhi achieved its basic goal of thwarting Pakistan's attempt to seize Kashmir by force. Pakistan gained nothing from a conflict which it had instigated.

I need not even go at the 1971 war as it was so brutal that it got finished in 2 days and Bangladesh was liberated immediately.

As far as Kargil is concerned, I would not even call it a contemporary war. During winter season when soldiers of both countries vacate those mountain tops due to heavy snow, Pak army tried to sneak in quietly for months and take over Indian territories. Then when Indian army finally got to know the mischief going on, they took to the action and reclaimed those areas that were taken over by insurgents. Pakistani forces subsequently went back across the LOC after international pressure.

Also, it is quiet funny you would call India a 3rd world country with hunger and poverty issues when Pakistan itself standing on the brink of bankruptcy and would need international bailouts. India has huge population and hence there are many poor people. But it is soon becoming a trillion dollar economy with world's 5th largest military.

Considering Pakistan fought 4 wars when it had better economy and yet lost all of them, imagine another war against India now with this broken economy. The war would not last even 2 days unlike 1971.

IPL is a huge hit outside India bcoz there is a huge Indian diaspora all around the world. Though this is not the correct thread to discuss this but even women's IPL is getting prime slot in Sky Sports UK over PSL would tell you the story. On the other hand same Sky Sports couldn't afford IPL rights this year and backed out of auction.

I am not denying PSL is for Pakistani's only and glad you are enjoying it. But showing Abhinandan on big screen looks like an attempt to get eye balls from India. Though I have no issues with it as its pure trolling but just saying it is as it is. A similar approach was adopted by PCB during Kashmir Premier league as well to get Indian attention.

I'mjust wondering, why as an impartial Brit would you have even tracked down that link and posted it on a Pakistan site?

You make it sound sinister. I didn't 'track down' the article lol .. I remembered this bit of news from a couple of years ago, so typed out the keywords - Abhinandan, PMLN and 'threat' on Google .. and voila the first article that popped up is the one I posted above. You should try Google someday, very handy website.

I don't understand the reference to 'impartial brit' or this being a pakistani website. What does one have to do with the other ?

That can only happen in your Bollywood. Talking delusionally as we understand you folks think of yourselves as some next level tees maar khan, but reality is Pakistan is well capable of responding with total force and dismantling India inside out.

If you had any guts and courage you would have come back after Abhinandan humiliation. You didn't for a reason because you learned your lesson through humiliation at a global scale in modern times through that mini war. Times have changed and there is no need to thump your chest over pointless talks of we can do this or that delusions.

Why did Pakistan release Abhinandan? Because Pakistan feared further escalation. India was ready to escalate.

The lesson of humiliation was when Pakistanis did the biggest surrender since WW2. Or when they ran away leaving behind their dead soldiers.

Its better you don't try to talk about military gains and victories.

The Indian reaction to this event was such that it becomes difficult to take anything they say seriously.

Bombed some trees, got planes shot down and pilot slapped around yet still claimed a victory :))

Puts all their past "victories" in perspective.

Indian spin and propaganda is second to none.

However it is quite classless for a picture of Abinandan to be displayed during a PSL advert. I hope it doesn't happen again and whoever was responsible for it should be fired.

India always seems ready to escalate :))

We have heard this nonsense about escalation and surgical strikes etc from your media for the last 10 years.

When push came to shove we saw what happened.

Why not escalate even after he was released? Why not carry out further surgical strikes?

Lol at "feared" escalation? Sure that's what made andhaybhakt sleep better at night after the epic humiliation. I mean if bombing Indian phateechar jet down, letting him get tonked by local Kashmirirs and showing his bloodied face and supping tea all over social media wasn't enough of humiliation to escalate.

We understand since that saga it's been an epic embarrassment for you folks, and it's good you get a constant reminder from Pakistanis over it. All the constant big talk and verbal diaharrea against Pakistan came down crashing that day, not that you have learned your lesson but deep down we know you feel the deep sweat pain :) As I said you neither have guts nor courage to avenge that epic humiliation or ever venture back into Pakistani territory. Regardless of our corrupt government circus or army chief being corrupt, one thing is for sure to happen is to give a befitting humiliating reply to India for its terrorism.

And as for escalation, we have other Indians terrorists in our cells roting like Yadav and co, which your government has tried to get back but all it got in return is a theenga. The only escalations we saw on your Indians news channels comedy clown circus. It's better not to talk big here, we know well your realities :)

Funny you say that…

Because both John Bolton and Mike Pompeo mentioned in their memoirs that S. Swaraj repeatedly called them asking for help and pressurizing Pakistan to de-escalate..Ultimately US / UAE / Russia all urged COS Bajwa to not react further.

It seems like your version of Feb 27, 2019 is misinformed.

Did they ? I have both books and I don't recall them mentioning Swaraj calling them and asking for help. You made that up.

And then Bollywood wonders why nobody watches them anymore. :facepalm
Indians like @Hitman often claim that Pakistanis are obsessed with India, yet India went out of its way, spending $20 million and involving hundreds of Indian workers to create a revenge movie about Pakistan, releasing it just a month before February 27th. Now that's an entirely different level of obsession.

Sky Force makes it sound like an American film, except of course there are no Indians ever portrayed as heroes in Hollywood. Could film producers not have made more effort to make it sound like an Indian film? Or does the English language resonate more with Indian consumers when it comes to action films?

Had to stop after this brilliant line

"Whee caaant...we a pheace lovin chountry. " lol

So many Indians watch this trash, MANY lack the ability to debate or discuss anything with any sense.

And then Bollywood wonders why nobody watches them anymore. :facepalm

It looks like there isn't any improvement in the CGI in bollywood films, kinda amateur looking .. can't these rich Mumbai studios outsource some of the production work to the US or UK art houses? The flying jets in the trailer look cartoonish and unrealistic.

The brave Indian pilot hasnt been seen since, unless he has been on some Indian talkshows , which I dont watch.

They called him a hero but in reality they hate he was captured and was smiling drinking tea with Pakistani troops.

Any Indian patriot have any idea where he is or where his moustache is ?

Unfortunately (for us), he is still in the Indian Air Force and still flies the same MiG-21 claptrap.

If I was you, I'd pray that you aren't deported back to Pakistan, else one of our lovely MiG-21 might randomly crash anywhere around you.

Appreciate the update and your concern.

If Pakistan capture him a second time, he will automatically be awarded with a Pakistani passport and a brand new gold teapot.

To be honest, he seemed like a pleasant fella.

It was a shame he had to enjoy fantastic tea instead of some BJP lunatic.

Yup, seemed like a nice chap. He must be cringing watching this these C grade movies.

Imo they are keeping him away from any media so he doesnt spill the truth and hurt Hindutva hearts who still believe the Indian story.

I think Pakistan released him too early. They should've given him more fantastic tea while interrogating more.

This movie is based on 1965 war and the release date coincides with 26 January which is celebrated as Republic day in India.

Now talking about obsession - A pakistani digs up youtube for an Indian movie, posts about it on a Pakistani website somehow linking it to an event willy-nilly.

Another Pakistani tries to spread lies about some memoir of Bolton and Pompeo which is debunked in the very next post.

Yes We Indians are obsessed.lol

As for why Indians like this kind of crap- I have heard that Pakistani TV industry is famous for producing Saas-Bahu type rona dhona daily soap opera. Those are doing quite good among the audiences last i heard.

To each their own,i guess.

Why spend so much on a movie when it's guaranteed to be a box office hit regardless of the production value because of it's theme

Another movie where India defeated Pakistan digitally.

Digital word has progressed a lot in recent years... NICE....

The trailer is very cringy. Excessive use of CGI too.

It felt like a Borat or Mr. Bean skit.

Well I don't know what happens in the movie or 1965 war was won by India or Pakistan but i have heard that when ceasefire was announced, India did had an upper hand.

Wonder what goes through abhinandans mind when he knows what happened and he has to re live that crap day by watching this movie.

This is just mental torture for him

They haven't made a movie about Abhinandan yet, this is about the 1965 war.

Does Abhinandan still miss the fantastic tea he drank in year 2019?

Jokes aside, which tea brand was it? I would love to try.

:qdkcheeky

Good chance some one gave him that idea and hope that guy made it worth Abrar’s time.Forget IPL most leagues now have Indian owners. Let’s see how this will work out for him. Doesn’t seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed. Not that it will benefit him in PCB either.

Phir tum rote ho ki India is playing politics etc etc.
Pakistan cricket team is close bankruptcy. Pakistan as a country is finished. So their players choose these antics to create controversy and stay relevant. Just watch some of their shows and how ex cricketers/dropped cricketers behave on tv shows. We must not give any importance to these players and give them undue attention they are seeking. I personally don't see much difference between regular trolls in this forum with likes of Abrar.

Imagine this, your own team loses against India again and gets knocked out of an ICC event hosted by your own country in 4 days. But you take a dig at India just because you picked the wicket of Subhman Gill. His career may have been secured for next 4 years due to that one single delivery. We are talking about a team and player of such class.

:dw

You should first offer tea to those 90k soldiers+civilians (if they are alive) who bowed down to us in 1971. Leftovers should be distributed among 1999 ones.

@Technics 1210 @KingKhanWC @Major @DeadlyVenom @Cpt. Rishwat

I asked ChatGPT to write a poem about "Abhinandan's Fantastic Tea".

ChatGPT obliged and wrote this poem: :inti

Abhinandan’s Fantastic Tea

A soldier stood, so calm, so bold,
With stories in his heart untold.
Captured far from where he roamed,
Yet stood with grace, so well-composed.

They brought him tea, a humble cup,
Steam arose, the warmth built up.
He took a sip—so smooth, so grand,
With steady grip and steady hand.

“Oh, fantastic!” the pilot said,
A phrase that quickly onward spread.
No chains could shake his warrior’s pride,
No fear could break the fire inside.

The world took note, the moment grew,
A sip of tea, but courage too.
A taste of peace, of strength so free,
In Abhinandan’s fantastic tea.

India should have tried to make progress by traveling to Pakistan for the Champions trophy. but they chose the route you are pointing out here.

We have many times and whenever we have some confidence in Pakistan we will for sure. We invited you to test series in Bharat in 1998-99 when things were tense in Kashmir and there was public pressure from political parties like Shiv Sena to not play Pakistan but we did. In 2004 we came to Pakistan after Kargil war and attack on our Parliament.

However if Pakistani celebrities keep behaving recklessly like this no government in Bharat can do anything. This sort of stuff is what makes our government look foolish in front of the people. More of these stupid acts and we will even lose the occasional matches. Civilians have a responsibility to act in a decent manner. Regardless of whether it’s a celebrity from Bharat or Pakistan, anyone needlessly indulging in this type of low level trolling shouldn’t be celebrated.

Thanks brother. I have no doubt on your courtesy. It will be an absolute pleasure. I want good relationships between our countries. Any celebrity who acts irresponsibly whether from our side or from Pakistan will get criticism from my side. All these people and officials work very hard to try and bridge gaps and here these stupid people keep ruining it for all.

Can't believe they are still boasting about capturing one pilot. Mind you, someone who didn't surrender but was captured. Yet, we not only made 93,000 soldiers squeal and surrender but also carved out a new country out of them.

'Tea is fantastic', that's all we have been hearing 24/7 since it happened.

"Tea is expensive" as well. They can't afford to have it themselves

That's like saying each and every single one of those 93,000 Pakistani soldiers would have been killed by Mukti Bahini in 1971 if not for Indian Army.

Look at the state of those Indians in london . One is a councillor but the rest look like immigrants with blood running down their foreheads . Shouting about water when nothing has changed lol

UK is really not the place to abuse Pakistanis, hopefully non are hurt if they carry on , good they have police around them.

Knowing what happened during London bombings, Pakistanis are truly not the ones to mess with in the UK.

Those who glorify war must pause to consider the harrowing fate that may befall a single soldier captured by the enemy. Human cruelty knows no bounds, and without the intervention of pak soldiers, Abhinandan could have faced a grim and merciless end. Such tragedies are not confined to one side of the border; they are a shared burden of humanity. One must also reflect on the anguish endured by the families of these soldiers, whose lives are forever shadowed by uncertainty and grief.

Most Indians living in the UK for generations dont care much for India, most are tired of kashmir and Hindutva and see themselves as British. Both communities get on very well here .

It's the new indian immigrants with saffron ideology who are important this extreme ideology but wont work here in the uk . After a hiding or two they will go back to gujrat or bombay .

Both uk indians and Pakistanis should ignore this and continue living in harmony and with a great life they have. We dont need drunken extremists on the internet to suggest otherwise

The fact you don’t even acknowledge that thousands of angry locals gathered around an enemy fighter, was rescued by the Pak army tells me how brainwashed you are.

Except they weren’t “93,000 soldiers” only around 45k of the 93k were actual soldiers.

He is locked up in jail.

I didn't see the video before (Abhinandan getting beaten by the mob). I watched the video today. :inti

It was pretty hardcore. He probably got the biggest beating of his life on that day until Pakistani army came to his rescue.

No wonder why he was praising Pakistani army and Pakistani tea later on. #TeaWasFantastic :inti
