Seems to run fast between wickets!

Him playing at number 3 is the definition of nepotism.

He might actually be a half decent player but when he’s primarily a wicket keeper batsmen and averages 11 in List A, it’s pretty clear what’s going on.

Should be added tot eh World Cup Squad

Seems decent against spin but looked a massive liability against pace. if saud gets a game i am sure he won't be given a chance at 3.

Inzamam in appearance, and lazy style. Nepotism in full glory though.

Nepotism at its level best. Good that Moin Khan is not the selector or the coach of the national side.

Disgusting selection. QG have the worst team management. Hopefully they miss out on winning the tournament again this time.

Looks to be a very good player inspite of being selected due to nepotism. He seems to have a elegance and class of. Good plyer.

I'm sure he will sooner rather than later be made QG skipper.

Absolutely disgraceful piece of nepotism - meanwhile the likes of Saud Shakeel continue to warm the bench.

Good timer off the ball, will take time to adjust with the pace at higher level, good against spin also, having said all that he definitely does not deserve chance ahead of Saud shakil

Has he really lost weight?

Looks the same to me.

Its a private league man, don't you know?

As far as I am aware, it's the Pakistan Super League, not the Nepotism Super League.

Ahmed Shehzad was being overly kind to him as well on the field.

All about keeping up impressions it seems.

For all practical purposes Nadeem Omer, or any other owner, can get their own children into PSL without much of a fuss.

He has a lost a lot of weight, and that proves he cares about his career. His batting was never the issue, he is an excellent hitter against the spinners.

He looks real deal. Very pleasing to eyes while batting. He got to shed off at least 20 kgs more though.

He wouldn't be playing club Cricket if he wasnt MK son. Just terrible for young players with no connections.

Its too early to say but hes got Kohli's technique.

Can't say that but he's got some elegance and class in his batting and he's a power hitter as well, I think he will be better than Asif Ali for sure if he can adjust to pace bowling as currently he is twice a player as Asif Ali against spin bowling.

He is definitely out of shape but I would give him a proper chance with the bat before writing him off entirely.

I understand Saud Shakeel not getting a chance as he has a fairly poor T20 record but hopefully in the next game he will get to play that too at his home ground.

QG have the best management in terms of getting the most out of their players year in year out. The likes of Umar Akmal and Sohail Tanvir failed elsewhere but are showing great form for QG.

Mohammad Hasnain and Mohammad Nawaz have been good finds as well. Hassan Khan was a good find in the previous edition as well.

Let's see how he plays in the next game. His fielding is hit or miss however.

better get used to him fella's .. sooner or later we are going to see him play for Pakistan, and going by the history of nepotism- he will be around for a long time

100 LOIs are pretty much guaranteed for him

If anyone ever wants a one-sentence answer to India’s meteoric rise and Pakistan’s woeful demise in the cricketing fraternity in the last decade, it is the following:

“Azam Khan is promoted to Number 3 of a PSL Franchise in his debut match while Saud Shakeel collects pens and papers on the bench”.

To be fair, the List A sample size is very small. 4 games in which he did not even bat in 1 of them, so it's not conclusive.

Imam at least was selected in domestics unlike him. Plus imam is miles better player then him.

Imam's selection is at worst debatable. Even if the reason was nepotism his record is good enough that there's no way anybody can say that nepotism is the only reason he is playing etc.

Saud Shakeel should've definitely been picked ahead of him.

Sorry but who in the world is Saud Shakeel? Stop overhyping nobodies like we usually do.

I haven't had a chance to watch him but other than the batting, how is his keeping?

Yeah but one Azam Khan is playing in your premier T20 tournament without the performances to back up his selection than you have a license to overhype I guess...

The challenge here for Syed1 is to keep on bashing Inzi for nepotism, and at the same time keep backing Sarfraz despite the worst form of nepotism we've seen in the last 2 decades here.

Indeed. No matter what people say about Imam, people forget he has performed in his age groups, and he's not doing to shabbily at international level. He is an opener and its not like we have tons of those. When we saw the team in the U19 wc a few eyars ago and everyone assumed imam baba and sami would eventually make the grade coz they looked decent for U19..so why this nepotism all the time?

Azam Khan is the biggest ****** since , well im not even sure, Shoaib Malik? Maybe even Nawz sharif himself lol

both Imam and Azam are nepotism selection; Azam's look worst when you see that he has no domestic record to back up his selection in PSL; Imam's looks worst when you see that he was selected in national team on the basis of nepotism and national team >>> PSL

There's definitely a positive here, the positive being anyone sitting at home, in their underwear, with a gamepad in one hand and Doritos in the other has a every chance to get chance to play in a tournament and watched by millions and showcase their inabilities to actually bat.

I can understand the sentiments of disapprove at his selection but I would still give him a game or two to finally write him off as a complete nepotistic failure.

Saud has a better FC and List A record than Babar, Fakhar, and Imam, who happen to be the three best batsmen in our current lineup.

Watched some videos of his batting on YouTube, and I have to admit he looks like a very very clean striker.

Obviously needs to get fitter if he wants to become a successful international cricketer but it's hard to question his batting talent if you watch those videos.

I am pretty sure hes gonna grab his chances with both hands , seems to oozes with natural talent and flair.

^Thats Chris Gaylesque strength, those are huge effortless sixes. No nepotism I see here, can come in national side if he sort out his glaring issues

Some serious hitting ability! However yet to be seen if he can hit fast bowlers.

He looks really overweight. I am sure Inzi has been giving him some culinary lessons!!:)):)):))

Seems to take his cricket seriously!

Well if Adnan Sami Khan can lose excess Body Fat, all is not lost for Azam Khan. Lets hope he does not lose his big hitting abilities in the process

I just don't understand how he can be THAT FAT given he is the son of a former cricketer? And it's not like his dad was fat.

Looked like an impressive turn of pace today when QG beat Peshawar.

I have always rated this azam khan he just needs to work a little more on his weight and fitness. Man's a serious striker of a cricket ball and can be a good replacement for sarfraz in a couple of years time. Guys need to give the chap a break.
