Wahab at least won us Test's v England in England and UAE. Rauf has won us nothing. I'd take Wahab anyday he was a clutch fielder and his batting was better than any of our current tail.
Rauf is as good as a fielder as Wahab

This he is a tape ball bowler who is unfamiliar with seam and swing, basically a tennis ball productI have always disliked Rauf. He has got no swing or seam. His only variation is the predictable slow balls. He is only effective in T20s because batsmen are looking to be attacking. In fact, that is how he picks up his wickets because batsmen are looking to smash him out of the ground. But the way this guy celebrates his wickets, you would think he just bowled an unplayable inswinger or something. Like I said, I have always disliked him and I would love to see the back of this poor man’s Wahab Riaz.
Need to change the title of this thread...lol
The thread started in 2020 and we're still debating whether he needs to be here or not?
He is here to stay and play, over rated or not.

You misunderstood.
I didn’t say move on from him as in drop him from the squad. I said move on from the argument that he is struggling because he is carrying a niggle.
The reality is that Pakistan has already seen the best of Rauf & it is all downhill from here. His best was not very good either. He gets a lot of hype but the reality is that he is nothing more than a right-handed Wahab.
A nothing cricketer with a nothing legacy. No one will remember him two weeks after he is dumped out of the team.
Ran away from Test cricket at the speed of light, will never play Test cricket again & his Test record would read average of 78, economy rate of 6.
He is very ordinary in ODIs & good in T20Is but he was nothing special in the World Cup even though a lot was expected from him.
He let Pakistan down against India in spite of running his mouth & the humiliation at the hands of Kohli will be his defining image in international cricket.

All this zero to hero sensationalism makes me laugh.
Bro you can't say Haris performed badly against India in the world cup match. Those two shots by Kohli were outrageous and only expected from a batsman of his class. Haris didn't necessarily bowl badly.
If we judge players like that then Kohli is a nothing player for being out twice in two balls to Amir during the CT Final.

How can you be mad at the guy for being happy?!
His story of zero to hero is absolutely legendary. Your post reeks of jealousy.
So, just to be clear, he's not a "street cricketer"?
The first shot by Kohli, Haris Rauf couldn't do anythign about it because that was one of the greatest shots of all time from the T20 GOAT Kohli. But the second six Kohli hit next ball was because Rauf bowled a bad ball.
On that day, it was Shaheen, and Rauf who cost the game for Pakistan, not Nawaz. Also Babar cost the game due to his captaincy, but unfortuanelty everyone will believe it was all Nawaz's fault.
I said this a long time ago. There's nothing in his bowling, gun barrel straight and doesn't extract much bounce.
If Shaheen is absent from this world cup then Rauf will lead the attack for Pakistan and that would make it easy for the opposition to attack Pakistani bowlers.
Haris should watch how Siraj has bowled i.e. mixing the slower ball bouncers with wide yorkers and bowling to his field. He rescued India from a tough situation against an on song Bracewell.

Haris Rauf for Rangpur Riders - 2/4 in 1 over!

He has nothing except speed.
Lahore Qalandars bowlers not looking in great shape for the PSL
Rashid Khan has been ordinary in the SA league
Rauf struggling these days
Shaheen unlikely to be in the best shape for the entirety of the tournament
Haris Rauf was at the receiving end as he gave away 42 runs in his four overs while picking up two wickets - started off well though.
Similar to Umran then ?
Of course he is a tape ball/street cricketer. He is too scared of playing red ball, he is poor in ODIs & he got smashed around in T20Is before he morphed into Sohail Tanvir & started deceiving bowlers with cheap slower ones & after pretending that he was Shoaib Akhtar 2.0
That gimmick ran its course too & now he is finished. PCB should learn a lesson from this & not fast-track tape ball bowlers like him.
If only you had this same level of confidence when people bump you on these threads.
Because you usually just tend to vanish or go underground when that happens.
Not very impressive so far at PSL8.
Economy rate of 10.45 in their 3 matches.
He's never ever convincing. Even this season his economy is above 9. Most bowlers with an econ above 9 are junk.
He was pretty convincing in both the Asia Cup and the World Cups. Regularly got the big players out.
What we forget is that he’s coming back from an injury in this PSL. It’s difficult enough to recapture bowling rhythm, especially in a frantic competition like the PSL. It’s the same reason why Shaheen hasn’t looked his best either. Fast bowlers are different to batsmen. They need time to get into rhythm.
I was always right about him. This is why I keep telling people it is futile to argue with me.
I see things others don’t, which is why I am always three steps ahead and end up having the last laugh.
