Most T20I openers won’t be the first choice pair in Super Overs.

England is probably the only team whose openers will also be the two batsmen to bat in the Super Over.

There is no logic to the criticism of Babar and Rizwan for not batting in the Super Over.

There is also no logic to the argument that if you are not suited to batting in the Super Over you should not be opening in T20s.

I don't see Maxwell, Tim David and Marcus Stoinis being first choice unless they performed in that game. That's why England chose stokes to play the SO in the final.

Otherwise default would be Warner and Travis.

In the case of England, they probs won't send both openers in odi, in odi butler would be sent and he ain't an opener. In t20 yes salt and butler will be sent as openers with moeen at 3.

I believe they should have sent Fakhar and Azam and told Azam this is your forte. You don’t have to think about singles and doubles, just hit it out of park! That’s why they selected him.

Running 2's are a must. Azam may have smashed a 6 on that full toss, But he was defo missing the first 2 balls that were bowled. As well as the deliveries bowled to shadab.
