Anyone can have moments of random brilliance. His past record, ability, skills, do not indicate he's anywhere close to Test standard of any top 6 Test team.

I don't think dropping the top scorer from the prior series where conditions are relatively familiar would've been a sound call on the selectors' part. Especially if the replacements had flopped as well. But Pakistan shouldn't persist with him after this series if he doesn't perform.
Consistently scoring across a series in a country notoriously difficult for touring batsman is not a moment of "random brilliance".
Okay. You'll see what he's really capable of.
any ideas on how quick Imran Khan was bowling ... certainly looked a yard or 2 quicker than his previous speeds .. maybe bending his back a bit more to get the nodd ahead of others .... Unfortunate that Naseem Shah faced the tragic death of his monther (may Allah bless her soul) ... looks like he probably wont play the 1st test so lineup would look like
1)Abbas
2)SSA
3)Imran Khan
4)Yasir Shah
unless Iffti Chacha get the nodd ahead of Yasir and we go with 4 bowlers seamers .... with Musa getting the nod ...

Just a ploy by Aus to get Pak to bat in the dangerous post dinner session.
Better commentary here than what you get on television.Shan Masood wouldn't even get selected for BD. Or AFG.
How come is he playing for PAK?
Terrible.

Abbas Imran and Shaheen is a sensible trio for the first test . You don’t want two rookies playing together . Whilst their is an element of surprise they also could get carted around the park. Any bowler can on their day but the above three provide a mixture of experience and youthful exuberance .
From what I have seen (Imran Khan in 2016), Imran and Abbas operate around the same speed but Imran has a slightly higher max speed, but he rarely bowls max speed.
No point playing Yasir at the Gabba. Should play four seamers with Haris and Ifti filling in with some overs.
Common Shaheen bowl at full throttle if you can't get heredith wicket than probably you are not good enough.
