[VIDEOS] Indian cricket team chants slogan from anti-Pakistan movie

Am glad Bollywood is making sorts of comeback, the jingoism with a spark has been missing for a while :lala

Oh and here is Azhar Ali & co with Indian and Pakistani soldiers at Wagah border. I guess these Indian soldiers should be court martialed because of this photo

who says Indian players are more modern or better educated?

They are clearly just as paindu as anyone playing international cricket

Haha slogan from a movie made about Farzi Kal Strike. They could not show a video of the so called surgical strike so decided to make a movie. Funny neighbours

People getting offended over nothing these days.. why not..iNtErNeT is lYf BrUv..
I miss those days when I used to wait for sports-star / sports-world magazine every month and there was a 0.1% chances of your letter to the editor getting published..[shy]

Whats next? Cant support the Indian Army as it has fought 4 wars againist Pakistan?

Not on a stage where cricket should be played. Politics and sports don't go together.
Use your brain instead of just trying to show patriotism.
I remember how triggered indians were when Hasan ali did his celebration on the border.

Lol at the indians that are telling us to calm down.
Most of u take the slighest of things so seriously and when we do something similar we're overreacting🤔🤔
The hypocrisy though

Singing a song does not necessarily mean being anti-Pakistani. In this case they mean "victory" over New Zealand. It is like Indian players call Shekhar Dhawan by his nickname Gabbar Singh that does not make him the real character of "Sholay".

The movie is pure cringe btw.Showing a drone which looks like a bird and hiring interns to run it.Similarly Pak helicopters shooting all around with none of so called "Para -commando" getting injured....I could go on but the movie contradicts many things regarding what happened that night.
And to my Indian friends don't get so triggered

Talk about the Over-Sensitivity!!!!!

Don’t know why OP had to relate this to Anti-Pakistan chanting!!!

Just because it has been used in the movie Uri, doesn’t make it a Anti-Pakistan chant... this slogan has been being used by Army,Navy, NDA(National Defence Academy) in the practice drills and Parades for ages., where the leader(captain, commander, person in charge) asks the troops- How is the Josh(Spirit) and is replied by - High Sir. Its just a motivational slogan/chant. Just look for YouTube and you ‘ll find numerous videos.

I hope it helps!!!

The chant is country agnostic i.e. it doesn't have to do anything with any country.
With that guyz and gals, please calm down and get on with your daily lives.

People these days have a hell lot of time to nitpick on things.

For those, with love from Indian Navy...

From- 0:52 - How’s the JOSH?... Highhhh sir!

If its based upon some movie people are referring to than its pretty funny and odd as you are representing your country not some movie or cinema.

Next thing you will see is English players winning and chanting dialogues or slogans from a Hollywood movie like Brave Heart or The King's Speech. :wahab2

Nah dont think any other team will do that as celebration but its upto them whatever they want to do or they feel classy.

Stop getting triggered on the smallest things. People these days want to find things to get offended about.

here's one thing i would say. If we get over the line vs india...one of our players will point this out and try to i guess answer for some offense which is imaginary.

Much like the moka moka stuff....where ultimately the creators of that campaign got a lot more validation because of sarfaraz, than anything else

If it makes the Indian side happy - what's our problem?

Will see hows the josh in the world cup. Clearly an attempt to create spice for the fixture at old trafford

Lol Pakistanis here getting triggered for no reason.. Calm down folks it's just a slogan, shouldn't even have been any news..

I do not think there was anything inflammatory there. They celebrated with a slogan in NZ after beating NZ, what is the issue here? What next? If an American sportsman fires himself by saying 'come on' and those same words were used in a Hollywood movie which some didn't like, they should feel outraged? "How's the josh" means "how's the mood" I guess JaDed. Unnecessary over reaction in my opinion.

Yup, very similar to Chakh De India fad we had during 2007ish , always pumps up our cricketer and fans, then good.

So they are promoting a bollywood movie after winning a series in NZ? How standards have fallen. They look like a bunch of illiterates.

This was like those push up thing Pakistani players did on field and thus linking cricket with the army same happened here

A court in Maharashtra's Thane last week convicted eight people for carrying out a rally in violation of police orders. The eight convicts were accused of taking out an illegal rally and chanting slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" in Thane after India won a cricket match against Pakistan. The men pled guilty to the charges against them and were sentenced to simple imprisonment till the court rose for the day, i.e. until the end of the day on which they were convicted.

The case dates back to March 2016 when the eight people carried the Indian flag and shouted slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' as they took out a rally in the Hajuri locality of Thane on March 19, 2016. India had won a cricket match against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup and the eight were celebrating the same.

However, before the match, Thane's police commissioner had issued orders that no rallies or processions should be carried out and that no slogans should be made which that disturb law and order situation in the area.

Following the rally, the Thane Police booked the eight under the Bombay Police Act's sections 37 (1-e) of the Bombay Police Act, 1951 (for the public utterance of cries, singing of songs, playing of music) and 37 (3) (for public assembly or procession in violation of the order of the police commissioner).

"We decided to plead guilty in the matter voluntarily and accordingly the court convicted us. We had not done anything wrong by saying Bharat Mata Ki Jai as it does not hurt anyone's religious sentiments," said advocate Ismail Shaikh who appeared for the eight men.

Convicting them, the Thane court fined each of them Rs 500 and sentenced them to simple imprisonment till rising of the court on January 24, 2020. The court said that if the convicts failed to pay the fine they might be sent to simple imprisonment for 15 days.
