Southern Punjab have been very poor today, twice outfielders overrunning and giving away boundaries, commentary team described it as 'drowning' and i would tend to agree.

I have said this in other match threads the fielding standards in this tournament is absolutely garbage, backyard level if not worse.
The fact that Northern dominates this tournament is simply because they field much much better than the rest.
The worrying part in here is that the youngsters we hype on this forum are really bad at fielding, to name few famous ones are Haider Ali, Abdullah Shafique, Umer Khan, etc.
This shows that as a youngster growing up absolutely no focus is given on fielding in Pakistan cricket circuit. In today's day and age fielding is still regarded as an accessory rather than a basic minimum requirement that every cricketer should hold. Same goes for fitness.
We need a culture change. I know that this would not be an overnight change but there should be strict measures put in place if youngsters are slacking at fielding and fitness.

Fielding standard has been the weakest aspect of the tournament till now by far. No sure if its the players coming back after lockdown, lights, ground etc or what but, there shouldn't be any excuse for such level of fielding.
Hopefully it improves as the tournament moves on.

The fielding performances seems to be continuing in Pakistan cricket. Besides the Northern side, the fielding has been downright inexcusable.
A strict fielding regime must be taken. Places in the intl. setup are guaranteed if your fielding is up to BASIC standard and that too just for Pakistan. SHOCKING.

Before a tournament everyone should be tested in fitness and certain drills if they dont pass it they cant be part of the squad same with international

Husnain dropped Khudshil Shah when he was on 75 at third man, basically lost Sindh the game there. This tournament has been a complete disaster for the fielders.
I havent seen this level of poor fielding even in the domestic cricket of Pakistan in the past. Maybe the lack of training because of Covid is at play here. But even then that gap must have been filled by now. Majority of the players barring few international players are unfit and bulky.

Players like Ahsan Ali are a disgrace. If they can't invest one hour of gym and take care of the diet then they shouldn't be playing club cricket

I never watch Sindh games as that team is a disgrace if they play Asad Shafiq in T20...but few highlights I have seen just to enjoy the thrashing they have received, Azam Khan seems to be a much better fielder than many ...

its embarrassing tbh, i cant remember the last time i saw such consistently poor fielding at the highest t20 level for any country.
you cant teach people to field at this level, you have to have some natural aptitude for it. for most of the sindh squad it comes from terrible fitness, they can barely run, bend over or slide stop.

The fielding levels are very very poor So many basic errors and drops in each game
Theres hardly any great stops or catches On top of that youve got several unfit and overweight players playing
These are supposed to be the best 60-70 players pakistan has to offer
The coaches and pcb need to do something This level of medicority is unaaceptable

Fielding and Fitness levels have been exposed in this tournament. Clearly more work needed at the grass roots
Ahsan Ali is just a wood on field.......Abdullah Shafique is no different...
And then we have this Saad Nasim....those are crucial catches......Babar would have been out early yesterday ......Azam Khan another guy so many of them right now......
U have to do something or it will cost the Pak cricket in long run.......
Yeah man, he was truly an embarrassment. He seems to have gained over 30 pounds in less than a year. I never thought he was that special with the bat, but his fitness now is a disgrace. Rightfully dropped for Danish Aziz.

I think they should test everyone's fitness way before the tournament they have to pass all the drills at certain level and if they dont they will be dropped from the squad
Drop them from their squad do tests before the tournament watch how everyone becomes shadab once they are dropped
