Contrary to popular belief here, I love watching this lad bowl with that smooth high arm action. Pakistan has under utilized him, when any other country would have provided him with the right guidance and encouraged him to become an absolute speed demon.

Many forget, Hasnain has easily hit the fastest speeds of the current lot and this process of moulding him into an accurate bowler will not work. Just let him bowl as quick as he can, and this lad will definitely go toe-to-toe with the likes of Ferguson and Wood on average.

he needs a mentor - hopefully he can learn - however he still needs to improve, bbl is still poor - way below ipl / psl /english t20 league.
Lets se what can he do in this yr ipl - he should set himself a high target for the whole tournament, he should be in the top 5 bowlers wicket takers with a economy of around 7-7.5.

His competitor currently is Shahnawaz Dahani - who I believe and most people believe dahani is better.

I also believe he needs to toughen up mentally - he seems fragile.

All the best to the guy

I am no expert but I always feel like Hasnain (unlike Rauf) is bowling within himself even when he hits 150 mph. It seems like he could add 5 mph more if he ran harder.

Excellent control over line and length for the most part the spell. Really good outswing in the first over too. Couldn't see the speeds on most deliveries, but easily beat batsmen for pace. Good signs!

He will continue to lose his way if he wants to emulate what Shaheen, Hasan or even Dahani do skill-wise. Hasnain should create his own identity, he was by far the quickest of all these bowlers and that's what he should focus on becoming. Right now I see someone who is neither here nor there, and with poor bowling intelligence due to not having played much four-day cricket, he will eventually be lost to the system in a couple of years.

Shaheen
Rauf
Hasnain
Wasim JR

That would be an absolute FIRE attack for the T20 World Cup

i understand where your coming from, but i just see his career going in the same way as Mohammed Sami but slightly worse as hussain is more mentally weak and just looks like a t20 bowler only.

Currently he gives 2 sloppy deliveries every over - which is why is economy rate is poor - he must improve this and also his fielding is the worst in the worlds and worse then mo youssufs and kanieria's - he simply cant even catch a chest height ball going straight at him. never mind diving / sliding

Remember that Hasnain hasn't even been coached properly yet. Two years with Waqar meant he didn't progress at all.

Now that Hasnain is out of his clutches hopefully some of the technical errors that Pont and Brett Lee have noted can be worked on by a proper bowling coach. We will soon see the full potential this guy has.

The last wicket was clocked at 96 MPH 🔥

Hasnain
Rauf
Shaheen
Wasim Jnr
Dahani
Wahab
Naseem

I’d hate to be the Pakistan Chief Selector right now.

Where did he clock 96mph? I didn’t see that in the last game he played?

Go to YouTube and watch the 9 min highlights.

Pause at 9:43.

Before “Sydney Thunder Win” appears at the bottom, you’ll see “155 KPH” before it fades away at bottom right.

The guy needs to play domestic 4 days for a few seasons. He mostly plays ODIs and T20s but doesn't play enough, when he is in the Pakistani team, he is benched and when he finally gets selected he looks badly out of rhythm where his line and length is all over the place.

I wonder if he too is like Shaheen where he only gets better the more and more he plays and where frequent gaps bw games hurts his rhythm.

good pace today it seems.....

From the highlights, looks like he bowled pretty well. First 2 overs in the powerplay he only went for 9 runs. Later on conceded a few boundaries behind the keeper off yorkers. That wicket taking yorker was excellent!

He was pretty impressive. He only bowled two foul balls in the spell. They were even talking about how he could become a 3-format player in the future. I'm just hoping that he gets to play actual games like FC, List A, or even club cricket. Sitting on the bench is not doing him any favors.

If Hasnain works hard he can play test cricket. He needs to play as many FC matches as possible and make sure he is extremely fit.

Hasnain just like Rauf is too big a risk if the test XI only had 3 pacers. Specially when WTC points are up for grabs.

I would take either of Hasnain or Rauf we were playing 4 pacers.

Yes I agree. He needs to play the QEA trophy and maybe a county stint if possible to learn bowling in the longer format. Unfortunately I think he will keep on getting selected for limited overs games for Pakistan and hence keep on missing the domestic season now

He shouldnt even be considered for now until he plays a bunch of first class games and performs over there.

Henriques calling M Hasnain a chucker, not a nice way to treat youngster who is there as a guest player. I hope Hasnain target his head in next match and put him in his place :akhtar

I hope Hasnain completely ignores him like the insignificant little man Henriques is. Hasnain is tearing up the BBL and doesn't need to even acknoweldge a sledge from a failed player like Henriques.

Poor from an awful cricketer.

Seems Henriques was referring to throw that Hasnain did and not to his bowling.

==

A wayward throw saw Sixers star Moises Henriques and Thunder seamer Muhammad Hasnian go toe-to-toe during the Sydney Smash on Saturday night.

Earlier in the game, the Pakistan quick fielded a ball of his own bowling after Daniel Hughes bunted it back to him.

Hasnain had the ball in his hand, spun around and fizzed the ball at the Sixers batsmen’s stumps while he had his back to him.

Hughes immediately turned around and mouthed off at the Thunder bowler, who apologised immediately.

During Henriques batting innings, Hasnain again feigned to throw the ball back at the stumps.

On the very next ball Hasnain bounced the Sixers captain and Henriques went back, chirping “nice throw mate, nice throw.”

“There’s a contest here,” Brad Haddin said gleefully on Fox Sports coverage before Henriques had got off the mark.

The Sixers gun squirted one away to the off side on the next ball and the verbal battle continued

“There’s still chat going on between those two and Moses stepping towards Hasnain,” Brenton Speed said.

“What happens in the middle stays in the middle, unless we catch it on the stump mics.”

In the end the Sixers got the last laugh, beating their cross-town rivals comfortably by 60 runs at the SCG.

Talk about making an impact. Job done as far as Hasnain is concerned. He will get a bit more respect from fans now.

PCB really needs to tighten its availability of quality players to boards which have stabbed it in the back on my occasions.

Looks like he has finally learned how to bowl a yorker...in the past, every time I have seen him bowl, it is mostly ball landing half way down the pitch and rising to be a short ball. This is good news for Pakistan since this kid has some serious pace without even trying much to bowl quick.

Pakistan pace ace's five match BBL stint comes to an end

Sydney Thunder coach Trevor Bayliss has hailed Muhammad Hasnain’s five match stint in the KFC Big Bash League as a great success.

The 21-year-old pace bowler returned home to Pakistan last night (to prepare for the Pakistan Super League, which starts on January 27) with seven wickets at a strike rate of 15.7 and a skinny economy rate of six. He also became the first bowler in BBL history to take three wickets in the first over of his debut.

Hasnain enjoyed a blistering start to his time at Thunder, taking wickets with the second, third and fifth balls of his opening over against the Adelaide Strikers at Sydney Showground Stadium.

Bayliss said Hasnain’s triple-wicket maiden – and his sheer pace – made plenty of people take notice of him.

“He brought a bit of pace,” said Bayliss with a wry smile when asked what the fast bowler who launches rockets that travel over 150km/h brought to Thunder’s bowling attack.

“Even though he’s only a young guy he brought his international experience with him.

“He has pace, a good yorker, and he showed that even in T20 cricket that extra bit of pace can be difficult to play.

“The reason a lot of the young internationals come out [to the BBL] is for experience; to learn how to play in conditions that are different to what they’re used to.

“I’m sure Muhammad is hoping he tours Australia at some later date with Pakistan; obviously he’d come here with some experience of playing in Australian conditions.”

Bayliss said Hasnain – who has already made 26 appearances for Pakistan’s white ball teams – added shock value to Thunder’s attack.

He cited Hasnain’s opening match against the Strikers – in which he finished the match with 3-20 – as a perfect example.

“When local players haven’t seen guys like Muhammad it can be a bit of a surprise,” he said. “After that [debut] the other teams were a little bit more circumspect against him because they knew what to expect – but that’s all part of the learning process on both sides of the equation.”

Thunder is set to round out its regular season against the Melbourne Renegades at the MCG on Wednesday ahead of the Finals Series starting on January 21. The team is guaranteed of a top three finish.

Hearing from various sources this morning Hasnain action has been called in the BBL and he will now undergo some tests.

That's what happens when you get a couple games on the Trot .
