He is not 5'10 no way max 5'9 at a push. And its a given shorter bowlers have to be quicker.
No way he is 5'9 he is tall as Azhar ali and mohammad Abbas whi are both 5'10 and above it was pretty clear too see during the match

See below pic aczhar ali shoulders are actually higher and he is only 1.75m tall which is 5.7 and a half. There is no way Naseem shah is 5'10 max 5.9 if that.

I hate to break it to you, but 1.75m is 5'9, not 5'7.
So now from his age to his height!
1.75 is 5'8 max rounded up. otherwise I could call myself 5'9 lol
You are confusing decimal points with inches. 175cm is 5.74 feet in decimals, but 5'9 because there are 12 inches in a foot...
175.3cm is 5'9 exactly.
You can call yourself 5'9![]()
I would rather go with 5.74 feet in decimals as we are talking about accurate measurement here. In anycase like I said he is too small to bowl gun barrel straight like he did in this game. Australia's taller and stronger bowlers got more out of the surface.
At this height you dont get much seem movement on hard wickets you just get straight bounce and the bowl didnt really swing for anyone.
I’m convinced that they overbowled him on Day 2 at Brisbane and that he now has stress damage to his spine or shins.Azhar Ali:
"The good thing about Naseem Shah is that whenever he bowled, he bowled well. The last couple of weeks haven't been easy for him but we backed him because of his skills. His pace was up whenever he bowled, his lines and lengths were good and he troubled the batsmen. But we have to see what all he's been through, he's just 16, very young body. We have to be careful and we don't want to put too much (pressure) on him. Talent wise and skill wise, we know he belongs here but we'll think hard about how we want to manage him"
Looks like he might not play the 2nd Test.
Pretty sure all off it is mind games actually

Pairing him with another teenager plus an unfit grandpa like Imran was a terrible idea, because Naseem and Shaheen were going to end up overbowled.
And young bodies are fragile.
The medical staff needed to tell Misbah and Azhar “your teenagers are restricted to one 4 over spell per session. No exceptions”.
just like he had brain fade against joginder sharma in final over. .Misbah is a very very experienced cricketer, he is educated and smart then why is he so clueless when it comes to making cricketing decision, unbelievable.
The bowling has been WORSE on a bowling friendly pitch than the Gabba , Musa khan and Yasir shah being disasters. Abbas being ineffective. The bright spots in first spot was Naseem shah and everyone is talking of Waqar and Misbah’s incompetence. This might have saved Naseem’s career in the short run as he is not associated with this disaster test
Why was he not played for this test?
I saw him in the hotel lobby today. He could barely move.No one knows.
Some rumours that he may not be fully fit, but he was bowling in the nets before the match.
I stood next to him today. I’m 5’7 and he was maybe, possibly 2 inches taller.See below pic aczhar ali shoulders are actually higher and he is only 1.75m tall which is 5.7 and a half. There is no way Naseem shah is 5'10 max 5.9 if that.

If he is fit, then preferring Musa Khan to him should be a sackable offence. He's having no trouble running on and off the field carrying drinks though.
Perhaps he's not what they call 'match fit'....

And if they are lying about an injury, that’s okay until match day - it could be deceiving the opposition. But carrying on the lie now? That is an insult to their own supporters. And also a sackable offence.
No i think the reason they didn't pick him is simple. They saw the pitch, they knew it would be a road, they knew the team is going to get hammered no need to risk naseem. After the 1st game misbah and younis couldn't keep imran in XI so obviously Musa was thrown to the wolves.
As confirmed in the other thread - He's confirmed he is fully fit, not injured and was dropped for the 2nd Test.

I think he is 5’8 and that’s going to be a major problem.
