[VIDEOS/PICTURES] What happened to our fitness culture?

I'll always detest Salman for fixing but his comments are hilarious and spot on: "Look at these players and I’m amazed—there’s [athletic] tape on their knees, tape on their legs. They look less like athletes and more like mummies from the movies, wrapped in so many tapes.” :ROFLMAO:
Strength training, core training is essential for any athlete. Pakistan doesn’t know the basics of power hitting, where power is generated from and the mechanics behind hitting a six. We are still stuck with super human Pathan strength to hit sixes.

AzamKhan Imad Wasim Sarfraz sharjeel to name a few who dodged their way into team, a killer blow to fitness culture
Azam Khan read the wrong memo. Instead of muscle he put on excessive fat. I think he had the right concept just got his wires crossed 😂

Mohammad Hafeez reveals injury problems in Pakistan Cricket during a program on a local sports channel:

"The question arises that our players are becoming increasingly injury-prone. While I understand natural injuries can occur, there must still be some balance."

"Pakistan has faced significant injury issues in cricket over the last five years, although the current ratio is much higher than before. The physiotherapists working in our system are not sufficiently updated to properly look after the players. Many players in Pakistan's domestic circuit hide their injuries to continue playing because they do not trust the medical staff. Within the system, the trust level in the medical staff is completely shattered. Some players who can afford to seek treatment abroad, do so."

"PCB needs to bring medical reforms and include sports medicine consultants and internationally qualified physiotherapists to rebuild trust and provide facilities to the players at their doorstep. Many players have wasted their careers because they were not properly looked after medically."

"Look at Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan; they retired four to five years ago and never had fitness issues because they managed themselves so well. They trained themselves hard and knew how to prepare their bodies for challenges. Today's players lack self-management. Their mindset has been shaped by T20 cricket and they don't want to bowl long spells or play longer innings. They avoid first-class cricket and don't want to train as hard as required for all three formats."

"Both players and the administration share responsibility for the current issues. Players do not fulfill their responsibilities, and unfortunately, the administration has not introduced necessary medical reforms."

Tayyab Amir was huffing and puffing very heavily after running between the wickets for 2s for 2-3 consecutive times. It really took a toll on him and he kept bending his knees to gather himself.

Not a good look when you are playing international cricket and having only been running like that for a period of 3-5 minutes.

Our players regularly eat Samosa Biryani Karahi & Burgers so how can they remain fit.

Dhani & Daniyal got injured without playing, Ihsanullah is neigh unfit since 10-12 months
Khurram broke down after just 1 test match.
Abrar the spinner has been in and out of team due to fitness and sickness issues.

Even in current squad, players like TT Abrar Usman doesn't look in prime fitness so are RizBar with bloated bellies

Naseem pace was fine he was clocking 140 every other ball that’s his normal speed pait shoulder injury it was lack of bowling sense and guile that was the problem

Was expected. He hasn't played any FC since return from injury.

You got to praise the intelligence of the selection panel though. Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq and Aqib Javed all three together played almost 200 tests and learnt zilch!
