[VIDEOS] "You have to offer something special to help your team" : Mubasir Khan

Mubasir khan was good with the ball once again for Pakistan Shaheens against Northern Territory in the ongoing Darwin tour.

Took 3 for 18 this time and he is still to bat as well. Pakistan desperately needs a good off-spinner and an allrounder and he can be the solution to those problems.

I saw this guy play at no 7 in acc emerging cup.

He was infinitely better then chacha, Shadab and Nawaz. Although his batting isn't that great. I rank salman Ali Agha ahead of him but mubashir Khan is defo a better bowler then Agha.

This guy replaced Arafat Minhas today for Pakistan Shaheen against Tasmania Tigers in the top-end series and his figures were pretty impressive.

4 overs, 24 runs and a wicket.

Nice bowling and he is more than a handy batter as well. A proper all-rounder.

If Agha Salman wasn't in the squad or xi I would definitely pick Mubasir in the squad.

Just pick Mubashir and play him at 7? I've been advocating for him, as I saw him in acc.

Why can't saud, Agha and Mubashir play?

Why is pakistan insistent on Shadab, Chacha, Azam, Usman, nawaz and all these guys for either odi or t20?

Exactly time to cut the fat and give the youngsters a chance

Mubasir is showing his all-round abilities in Darwin and he has been very consistent in domestics as well. Not gonna say that he is not ready for international until he plays international cricket.

Domestic and international are 2 very different things. Most of the payers, that go bang bang in domestic, went missing in internationals like Azam Khan or Saim.

I hope Mubasir gets his fair chance and he is not one of those hacks.

Now days the gap between domestic and international cricket is at all time high , we can't trust any player from domestic cricket unless he averages 50+ with the bat and under 20 with the ball. even then there is still a chance that he will fail at international stage.

All the domestic upcoming batting legends failed spectacularly at the T20 Worldcup and now in the Darvin series.

Yep. Sad reality. The more the hype, the bigger the fall. Mubaisr should better not be one of those guys but he is not near an international debut.

Although he can't spin the ball and is simply drifting it, his bowling economy is impressive, standing at 2.80 after 5 overs for Panthers against Markhors in the Champions One-Day Cup 2024.

I was on about tests and not odis. But now that you have brought it up Agha is good however I dont see him as a proper batter but rather someone who can bat at 6. Mubasir isn't required in odis or t20s.

Mubashir is superior to agha lol in every format. Superior to chacha as well

he’s got a glaring weakness against fast short pitch bowling or even short of good length at 140k pace , unless he improves that he can’t become an international batter.

Ordinary talent

If he is one of best young Pakistani talent then only a miracle from God can save PCT

Seeing upcoming batters like him , Irfan Niazi , Haseebullah , Bangalzai etc it makes me wonder are they not provided training with a bowling maching facing 150k+ deliveries? Why they are absolute dud against anything over 140k? in the past we didn't seems to have this issue with young batters (Yea they did struggle against 140k bouncers but still comfortable against full and good length deliveries at high pace), is it because of the lack of 140k+ 4 day pacers in domestic cricket?

I mean most of the young batters begin to look like tailenders even against fuller length and good length deliveries bowled at high pace , we never had such issue with young players just a decade ago , were they practicing with bowling machines before and not now or what? I don't understand the reason.

Mubasir Khan plays a vital knock for his side! He reaches his 5th List-A fifty with a six, playing a fantastic innings so far.

Even Malik knows how to grind and score some big runs , Mubasir is even poorer than Shoaib Malik skill wise.

The truest bits and pieces player.
Even the likes of Shadab, Nawaz, Imad looked a million-dollar on their day. But Mubasir fails the eye test everytime. Very mediocre batter and bowler, not too special a fielder either. But seems to get those 40 + 2/40 performances and will remain in the radar always.

Mubasir is an upcoming player and needs to be kept an eye on as he can develop into a lower middle order player and is handy as he can bowl off spin too. His record in T20's is absymal to say the least but in FC he is decent and List A needs major improvement like his T20 record.

Even the few times I have watched him play live, he didn't look anything special especially in the PSL for IU.

The issue here is that people tend to hype or overhype players here without any actual context.

Our players in domestic being the structure or whatever reason, fare so poorly that people see 1 or 2 inns and start singing praises of that player.

The players need to be working on their game all year round regardless if any cricket is going on or not. Their fitness and in today's world where sp much is available, they need to do it themselves and should not really be spoon-fed which is actually the norm in that part of the world.
