everyone is arguing abt Micky and Azhar but Grant Flower has been the abs worse of the coaching staff.. no improvement was seen in his tenure.. all rubbish ... extremly poor.. glad he is gone

Some players early in his tenure did give credit to Grant, including Younis. Other coaches have not been praised by players with respect to improvement in their game.

Babar, Haris, Imam... yes Grant has failed Pakistan. Great that he's being sacked. Let's bring Latif, Moin, or Basit and coach these guys again.

Babar and Harris were settled before they came in the team... and they were known commodity to be goood batsmen... Imam still have the same issues as before, not rotating the strike, head falling over ..so no improvement there.. the pack should be looked at from the weakest links not the strongest...

in no way i am supporting Latif/moin/basit... u pratically named the 3 worst possible names in the system. i abs hate these 3 ... maybe we shld be bringing like a kirsten or mahela jawardena or mike hussy as batting coach... def not the trio u mentioned ...

Kirsten is being looked at for England coach role. Mahela is serving Mumbai Indians, forget him. Hussey also has strong links to India and will not join us.

what other options do we have ... a PCB role will obviously pay well (with the new management ) so i think we shld have lots of applications coming in... Viv maybe?

On the contrary, I thought Pakistan's batting generally has been less of a problem. Bowling has been the disappointment.

I’d argue the opposite. Fakhar and Babar improved substantially under his wing.

Sharjeel Khan springs to mind as well.

Our batting has improved under Grant. It was a mistake to not renew his contract.

doubt it .... apart from babar and Harris (who were naturally great) none of the batsmen have improved... Imam still h as the same problems as he had when he walked in ... fakhar has gone really down... no new batsmen coming in ....

No. Grant is the best of the lot. Our batting at least in LOIs is the best, it has been for a very long time. He has done the best with players who come into international cricket without any substantial work done on them in domestic cricket. I think his contract should have been renewed.

No idea why Grant Flower keeps getting bashed.

We are now scoring 300+ in ODIs with regularity whereas before even 250 was a struggle.

If anything it's our bowling that's let us down.

We are only scoring 300+ in England. We didn't at all in NZ and only once in SA and AUS. Never scored it in UAE.

What did Grant Flower do to help Fakhar`s technical and batting woes, how about "AR" Ashraf and Shadab. How about when Imam ul Haq has a strike rate of 70 in modern day odi? We have played on England flat pitches alot so of course we are going to pass 300 but how about when we played in NZ in 2018, we were struggling to score 150. How bout UAE in the asia cup? You guys get the point. IT WAS ABOUT GOD DAMN TIME WE SACKED THIS INCOMPETENT USELESS SACK OF DOO

I think Mickey Arthur and Azhar Mahmood were great coaches but Grant Flower didn't make much difference. Grant needed to go.

He did a good job but he’s been around 4+ years and at times things get stale and you need a change.

He did a decent job but with the other coaches being disposed, it was time to start fresh.

Bit of a silent warrior Grant - not sure what he or anyone else can do with some of our batsmen?

Pakistani batting looked very unconvincing under his reign, Fakhar's terrible technique has not improved at all since his debut, even now that teams have found him out. Is Grant to blame for that, I'm not sure. Let's see what a change in coaching staff can do.

Not sure what a new coach will do - seems to be more a problem with the batters themselves than the coach
