it has to be agreed that IPL has caused more problems than it has solved.. in fact it hasn't solved any problems (only benefited BCCI in many areas) .. otherwise its a problem to be tackled every year by all boards including even PCB (who hasn't been sending/allowing its players to go to India)

Ramiz mentioning Tanvir Ahmed in the "young crop of players" Pakistan are touring with.

The WICB is also to blame. But like you said. BCCI is contributing to it.

Yes, BCCI only looks out for its own interests, that cannot be denied.

At the end of the day it is each player's decision, if they choose to play elsewhere, they cannot be forced out. They are free people, nobody has put a gun to their head. They made a decision that benefits themselves and their families.

The great Viv Richards has often claimed that he didn't receive his just rewards back in the day, and I feel even he would have played in the IPL were he playing today:

That is his personal opinion he is saying it is upto umpires to discuss or report his action ...

and he has been reported and cleared ....

Personally i also agree that Ajmal has a kink in his action and so has harbajhan but since murali was cleared ICC has no right to stop anyone from bowling doosra ... I think only saqlain bowled doosra with clear action ...

As far as IPL is concerned holding is 200% right every individual should prefer his country first ... and if anyone doesnt he should be banned from playing all sorts of cricket

as much as the blame is to be put on BCCI .. i completely agree with holding's point as well, that ICC is to be blamed a lot too as it hasn't scheduled any series of India which clashes with IPL ever... but there are always some other international series always between 2 test teams going parallel with IPL!!!

i've never seen UEFA Champions league or EPL running parallel to the international teams' schedule

Ahmed Shehzad has been impressive thus far.....His temperament looks very good, looks like he has improved in that department ALHUMDULILLAH...........

Sorry, but while I agree with the first part of your statement, the second is rubbish.

Yes, everyone should prefer playing for their own country.

But, they are free men, if they choose to pick IPL over country, that is their choice.

Should every Pakistani immigrant in Canada be beheaded for picking Canada over their country?

Yes. You can actually see it.

This is a very crucial innings for him to regain his confidence.

Can anyone get some stats on the last time someone opened the bowling and batting innings for a country? :)

I just hope he carries on improving because he has got undoubted talent, he can play strokes, attack the only part that really needs improving on is his temperament.......... but today his temperament has been very good...........Could be a crucial player for us for a long time to come......

Yes, he's been cautious but not overly cautious.

He needs to keep playing this way.

Guess we know which Hafeez turned up today...The Tuk Tuk one..

subdued starts are fine, but these 2 need to learn to think in terms of 1s and 2s more because they will not get off to flying starts every match with pies being bowled at them to hit boundaries...

strike of 38.09 is too fast . He should know we are not playing T20 . Target is not big either . Slow and steady wins the race . :misbah

Hahahaaha that man on SS arguing with porbably his friends on that Dropped catch is just too funny.

:))) :))):)))

I like the quick singles but do they not have the ability to just hit the ball and take a comfortable single?

Okay start showing some aggressive intent now lads. A wicket here can put us under a lot of pressure.

i would like to see us win this match comfortably by 7 or more wickets. I actually like this approach of taking quick singles; it's good practice

No ball! Shehzad to face it.

Was also a full toss, should have been punished.

Time for Shehzad to let lose!

If we were a true team we would tackle this total.

Our batting legends never backed down from anything and would crush a total like this easy...

We are making it much more difficult for us then needed.

i think they shud already take the batting Powerplay and try to increase the RR a bit ... :P

Shehzad will get run out. Needs to stop stepping after hitting the ball.

I really think this match is going to be close..
when the ball get soft batting will be even harder
