No doubt mate. If we want to win we should've shown hunger earlier (first session of the day) rather than trying to catch up the RR later on where we have the tail/sloggers.

By any chance, is Abbas Misbah's cousin? Obviously, he isn't any relative with Mickey, but otherwise I don't see any reason to come ahead of Hasan.....
 
sarfraz need to learn how to play with tailenders as most often then not he will have to partner with tailender as shafiq cant stand for more than 50 balls.
 
Sarfraz has lot of faith in Abbas's batting ability.

So far, Abbas has shown that he can defend pretty well.

The "bacha party" is generally correct. We saw in the second test too, Pakistan was in a position of strength yet Misbah and Azhar decided to shut up shop and score at a run rate of 2 which led us to eventually getting bowled out for a sub-par lead and had to chase a tricky total in the second innings. Here AGAIN the "bacha party" is correct that Misbah's useless innings was counter productive.


I take whatever the GIF spamming "Chisty Mujahids" of the forum say with a truckload of salt.

I am not watching the match, but from cricinfo commentary it doesnt look like :

Holder to Sarfraz Ahmed, 1 run, takes the risk for a single - and there is considerable risk, the non-striker takes long to respond because he knows it is a scary prospect, defending the ball to gully and running. But Sarfraz demands it and he gets it



Chase to Sarfraz Ahmed, no run, doesn't take the single despite hitting a tossed up delivery to long-off
 
its just me or anyone else think that sarfraz doesnt looks happy here he dont get any time to settle or to play with decent batsmen . and top order consume 100 of overs but still pressure on him to get pak to good score like seriously ?
 
WI fielding is even below club level. You just can't give so many chances at this level.
 
It is a good enough total provided that the Cowards XI can initiate a collapse tonight.

exactly! at least fielding is one thing they have to be pretty good but they just look really really poor. If it wasn't for Holder they would be beaten by the likes of Zimbabwe as well.

Everything has to be assesed in context. In previous tests, it was only for a small periods with WI having already had a bat. It also wasn't as bad as this.

I can excuse "parking the bus" in cricketing terms occasionally, but for 2 concecutive days in the first inns when you should be trying to win is inexcusable. Even if we end up winning this test, it went too far.

And yet we have managed to lose one Test match against such pathetic outfit and things aren't looking good in this game either, goes to show you how hopeless we're.
 
Abbas is annoying as hell I would get Gabriel in and bowl 140kph bouncers at his head.

Abbas looks pretty comfortable facing trundlers.

Yea or Bishoo because Abbas is playing off back foot; But WI only care about stats and they want Chase fifer.
 
Why on earth is Abbas batting above Hassan Ali who was being touted as an all rounder in Eng.

Both have very similar no of FC runs with Hassan averaging twice as much @ 15 and that with Abbas having 30 not outs!
 
awful captaincy by Holder. He should not be bowling spinners to Sarfraz and he also needs to spread the field when Sarfraz is on strike.
 
This is a very decent partnership in the circumstances and has come at a time it was desperately needed. If we can inch towards 400, that would be pretty decent.
 
Sarfraz with some face saving innings so far, long may it continue, 400 will be a bonus from this position.
 
Abbas can be a good night watchman give credit where it's due but 1 off 27 is not good enough in this situation.
 
Lovely and intelligent batting by Sarfaraz, perfectly placed to retain the strike.

Lol free runs for Sarfraz, all the fielders should be on the boundary for first 4 or 5 deliveries to avoid boundaries and then come inside the circle to avoid the single, but instead there is ample of room on off-side, he's just giving himself room and piercing the gap to score some easy runs, pathetic captaincy at this stage from Holder.

3 of his wickets are lucky while the other was due to pitch.
No good bowling.

That's good news for Pakistan they can easily win this if Yasir bowls intelligently and not defensivley..
 
Abbas body language looks as if someone just took him from his mohalla team to a international match.

Man I'll miss watching Bishoo bowl. Hoping Prasanna, Zampa,
Tahir, Rashid and Sodhi will do well at CT.
