Miandad needed 4 off the last ball if I'm not mistaken. Chanderpaul needed 10 off the last 2, and a 6 off the last.

Exactly, he has bettered Miandad's record. Miandad needed 4 to win (although, it was a final and it was Pak v India and therefore arguably a better finish).

Someone please uploda the highlinghs ..or link to them . I've just got to see this ....10 of two balls !

three full tosses? i bet it's matchfixed ...damn you Vaas :po:

it was very good up to the 4th ball.

its just the pressure of the game.

Iwould not blame vass for this .

calling it match fixing is truly baseless and foolish. :20:

cricket fans only dream about this kind of finishes :19:

that match was swinging like a see saw. srilanka got some real talent there..

esp mendis who was reffered to as a mystery spinner

also from 49/5 lankans did very well...they are a side that hardly rolls over and say die

it indeed is foolish to throw three full toss on the same overs especially the last over. I don't know what to say. That forced me to think whether what kind of moron would throw three full toss in last over :26:

friend when a bowler is in a pressure situation, it is not as easy as it would look. it was a matter of who would crack,,,,, :15:

this time it was that great bowler vaas. he is not the first and certainly will not be the last bowler to crack under pressure. :P

I used to be fast bowler back in Pakistan and i have faced the same situation before, but i always sticked to one option mostly and that's yorker...Impossible to play yorker especially six. That delivery always helped to gain my confident especially in death overs :10: . Vaas need to work hard with yorker delivery :10:

MalikBrother,

You are trying to take the credit AWAY from one of the greatest finishes from a batsman.

Just watched some of it!
WELL PLAYED CHANDERS.

I am assuming your on eof those guys who just reads the newspaper. It is known that Vaas is one of the best exponents of bowlign at the death (I remember he once restricted the Aussies to 3 runs in the over when all they needed was 5 off 6 and Bevan and Symonds were at teh crease, in 2004). Just on this occasions, he got the delivery wrong. You act as if he meant to bowl a full toss. Obviously not, he was aiming for the yorker and released it too early.

Chanderpaul clinches a thriller

Guys,

Its been an amazing match between sri lanka and west indies. Chanderpaul scores 10 runs of the last 2 balls to win the match.....

Really? So you've bowled the last over of an innings, against an international side, in front of a packed house? Ummm.... :)))

What's supposed to be funny ? If Younis from the same town (i used to live there) can play against International side, why can't i? . In fact, my brother bats better than the current useless openers like Butt, Yasir. Never heard about politics? Politics is the reason that is not allowing better talent to be selected. I may not have played against International side, but it used to be Do or Die situation and we always took game so seriously and we always enjoyed torturing opponent team whenever we beat them and we receive worst treatment from them if we lose to them. It was more like reputation game :21:

Never mind, back to the topic. Whoever are in squad come from the same country, and same cricket they play as we do. We are the reason the cricket is popular and almost everyone can play cricket in ICC :21:

Yeah, it was a fantastic effort by Shiv and a thrilling conclusion to a very close game. It's games like this which make me prefer meaningful international fixtures as compared to the bakwass that is the ICL/IPL.
