What is it about Australian conditions that historically suits the otherwise average performances of the Indian cricket team?

SA never plays at Durban in a long time. Last time 2013. That is the only SA pitch that helps spinners. Last time Jaddu took 6 wickets.
Who can forget nz pitches.they used to be green grass for ind,sri lanka teams and perfect batting pitches against pak,aus,eng.2002 ind tour was an absolute disgrace pitches and ultimately ruined nz chances as batsmen are out of form due to atrocious pitches.Kiwi managment on record accepted the pitch manipulation

but they will bend over for their colonial masters when they tour and create nice flatter pitches.

Don't think India have done too badly in England in recent years. They won in 2007 and drew the last series, which they could have won because pre-Bazball England were a rubbish side under Joe Root. They haven't won in South Africa but they've been very competitive there and come fairly close to winning the series on a number of occasions.

I don't think there is any excuse for their recent record in New Zealand though. Last time around they got a thorough shellacking. Couldn't win a test match in 2014 either.

One of my guilty pleasures is to see the Pakistani meltdown when India does something spectacular in Cricket ... the wrist slitting and conspiracy theories make for some priceless entertainment 😜
I would never wish ill on Pakistani cricket, nor root for them to fail. My approach to them is more of indifference. Except when they play Afghanistan. I always root for Afghanistan against any opposition and find it hard to watch Afghanistan vs India.

However some fellow posters here, most of whom I have now begun to block for the sake of better mental health, seem to actively root for India to fail, confusing its foreign policy with its cricket team!

They make sure there is absolutely nothing for spinners. India is forced to leave out a spinner which indvertently impacts the balance of the Indian side as there was no seaming all rounder. Now that we have Nitish Reddy this is going to be interesting. India can leave out Ash/Jaddu and still have an extra all rounder.

Lack of Mitchell Johnson like character, current Aussie players are just skillful with no sledging or mind games.

Travis Head somewhat there only near to Johnson like character.

Mitchell Johnson hit Kohli in an attempt to run him out. But Kohli totally bullied Johnson in that series scoring 4 centuries.

Travis head Is like the nicest guy lmao. He doesn't sledge.

Best Test team right now are Australia despite how they are playing in this Test.

Why? I can think of 2 reasons.

Reason #1: They are #1 in ICC Test ranking with 124 points. 2nd positioned India are 13 points behind (111 points).

Reason #2: They won the WTC final.

Not sure why Indians are giving laughing emojis to this post of mine.

Aussies are #1 in ICC Test ranking and they also hold the WTC trophy. These are all facts. Therefore, they are the true #1 in Test format currently.

We are laughing at your desperate jumping jacks shifting the goal post from one to another. 🤡

The question was "Who is the best travelling Test team in the world currently" and you kept on running away from it talking about rankings and the WTC...just because you don't have the heart to accept that it's India who has the best away record in the recent past. It's quite comical.
