8-9 years back, these guys were the biggest craze.. I remember all us cousins playing antaakshari and once we got to singing this song, we all sang it till the last syllable! :))

Sure as hell, they're nowhere near the class we had in the 90s, but frankly, I believe this, Panchi, Dil Haray and especially Sajni are a good listen :)

No..They Are Very Boring..

They are legends. Art Garfunkel was a choir all by himself and Paul Simon complimented his vocals brilliantly.

Bridge Over Troubled Water
Scarborough Fair/Canticle
Sounds of Silence
Mrs. Robinson
Cecilia

Some great tracks.

Watch their live performance with the brilliant Andy Williams where they sang Scarborough Fair. Magical.

On topic: Kiran- Dynoman

Good Music Thread

I know there's already a music thread, but it's full of rubbish.

I'll start off with some classic hiphop, i wish it was the 90's again :(

Not too big a fan of the genre, but I did dig a Lupe Fiasco track on the radio the other evening.

Haven't listened to much music lately but heard some of this and had to track it down from the lyrics. Fresh to say the least :)

Jackie Wilson - (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher. Again when I like a song I've got it on repeat.

7.40 - 8.40 : IMO, perfection of modern entertainment, and almost a summation of Jackson's persona.

Then, this (I'm not 100% accurate, but I remember reading somewhere that the footage of him when he wears the grey suit and red-print shirt was from two days before he died!!)

Recently, I've been returning to MJ's music and songs. A highly troubled man, battling all kinds of insecurities and personal dilemmas, but an absolute genius. He wasn't a saint, imo (no one in the entertainment industry can ever be) - but never a pedophile either (recent claims only proves this further, in my eyes). But it was his own eccentric habits and mystery that led to such mal-perceptions of him, that intensified his scrutiny and killed him eventually. Conrad Murray, AEG whatever are just immediate causes, his decline in all forms (but musical) began with the first claims of molestation.

But I've been recently thinking - what sort of legacy are we leaving for our children (And by we, I mean the whole world.) Miley Cyrus? Bieber? Britney Spears? Thicke?
I was born in the early 90s, and some of my earliest memories are of watching his videos. Even tho MJ expanded all boundaries he always kept the communal aspect alive in his songs, whether the topic was racism, police brutality, false accusations or street crime.

Now we window-dress trash and call it "individualistic artistic license." Disgraceful.
