What's new

What was the last thing you ate?

I have these too.

I'm not that big a fan of this type but it's on if needed as necessity.

Some of the local shops here sell the tea and milk mixture and you can heat it yourself on the stove. It's quite good.

Not sure if this type will be available in your area though
Latter is what I suggested to him as well. The do it yourself stove variant is the authentic version and really good. Just takes some prep time.

Though I understand @sweep_shot likes the instant version because you just mix it in and you’re set

Yup.

I generally make teas in microwave. It is much faster. :inti

3 minutes to warm the water + 1 minute to mix the tea powder.

I even make green tea in microwave. :inti

I warm the water with teabag inside. 3 minutes and I have my tea.

I am very addicted to tea. I drink 3-4 mugs of tea daily.

This is what we used to do in our office when we didn't have the coffee making machine.

I see.

We have a machine at home. But, it is too much work. LOL. Microwave is faster.

Since I drink a lot of tea (3-4 cups daily), I prefer the fastest method.

Lanzhou Beef Noodles

No I didn’t have this, just saw it on my recommended and thought I’d share.

Jamaican beef patties. I really love this patty. Fills me up.
Coffee.

@shaz619, I believe you are half-Jamaican.

What are some good Jamaican dishes?

I once saw Chris Gayle eating a nice Jamaican beef dish. I forgot the name. I would love to try that.

Anyway, I really like Jamaican beef patty. :inti

Matthew 22:37: Jesus said unto him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." 22:38: "This is the first and great commandment."

22:39: "And the second is like unto it, 'Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.’" 22:40: "On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
Yes , but what is the connection .

Jesus himself says he is not changing any laws .

Bananica chocolate. :inti

It is an interesting and unique chocolate. It is a banana-flavored chocolate (banana cream coated with chocolate).

How often do you have your green tea or Kashmiri tea? It seems to be present in most of your posts in this thread :)

I consume a lot of tea. 3-4 cups daily. :inti

I generally drink green tea. I have recently started to drink Kashniri tea too.

I sometimes drink milk tea, ginger tea, lime tea, spice tea, black tea, and also butter tea.

You can say I am addicted to tea.

If am honest I’ve been heavily influenced by my mum’s side but among my Jamaican fam goat curry with rice is very popular and tbh it’s popular here in Brum to with a big afro carribbean population.

One of my friends is a medical doctor in Georgia, USA.

She told me that excessive consumption of Kashmiri tea can be bad for health due to presence of baking soda in Kashmiri tea.

So, I googled it. I found out she was right. I guess moderation is key. :inti

Here is from Google:

Gastric cancer is a highly prevalent malignancy in Kashmir, with a much higher incidence than in other parts of India, where it accounts for a significant portion of all cancers. This high rate is linked to lifestyle and dietary factors, including the consumption of salted tea (Noon Chai), smoked fish, and heavily spiced, salted foods, along with tobacco use. Research has identified specific patterns, such as higher rates in urban areas and a concentration of cases in men aged 60-79.
