My neighbors are Christians from Goa. They bought pork from a church stall and made Mangalore style pork curry, which they shared with us.
I liked it, it is completely different from anything I had tried before.

Last weekend, I cooked Malabar style mango fish curry at home after tasting it the previous week while returning from a trip to Kerala.
It was really yummy. :)

Mango fish curry. Never tried this. Does it taste sweet?

I am not familiar with South Indian dishes. I only know dosa.

Give me some names of south Indian dishes. :inti

It tastes very good, and the cooking is also very easy. Just remember to add the fish only after the mangoes and other ingredients are cooked, because fish cooks very quickly. I followed these two videos, which are authentic Malabar-style recipes. Coconut milk gives different flavor.

Thanks.

Never tried sweetened fish. I like fish spicy. Then again, I like everything spicy.

It’s neither spicy nor sweet. It has a slight sourness because of the mango and a rich, thick gravy due to the coconut. Altogether, it’s a very different taste. People who prefer spicy food may not like it.
Generally, South Indians eat spicy food, except in Kerala.

I see.

I still want to try it. I don't mind sour stuff.

I miss psyllium husk. Haven't consumed that in a while.

You made me remember. Planning to order this week. :dav

My Chinese coworker (a middle-aged lady) gave me some Chinese rice to eat. She made it with dates and a type of sweet syrup.

It tasted okay. Never had this before. :inti

Do you do intermittent fasting?

You seem to eat 2 meals a day (also known as "2MAD"). I used to do 2MADs a while ago.

I managed to lose 21 pounds with the help of intermittent fasting (went from 213 pounds to 192 pounds). :dav

ive heard of 2mad, but no - i just dont ever feel hungry enough to eat 3 meals even though i play tennis regular, go gym 3-4 times a week - i weigh 185lbs, 6 foot 3, body fat around 13-15% mark.

Ever since i was akid, never could eat big meals or many in a day, razaam in in the summer is easy for me - goes past steadyily..

I've been eating more fibre in my diet, noticed that been helping to keep full for longer, but i do drink up to 2litres of water - think it is the reason, stomach just full,

Never touch protein powders, just try to eat real food, i dont like takeaways - never brought up on them, parents hated us eating out, till this day eat at home, cook with my wife...

Try to follow the sunnahrule, keep 1/3 of stomach empty, n used to keep monday and thursday fasts every week, need to go back to it, i had more energy when i did this.

I dont do crazy diets - however keto does work for me , just try to eat medium portion sizes,

this week noticed i havent eaten much - im a type of person if i cant be bothered to eat - it wont affect, always have my water bottle next to me.

But do love food - enjoy cooking

I see.

You are technically doing 2MAD even though it is probably not intentional. My body also feels better when I eat 2 meals a day. :inti

I even did OMAD a few times (one meal a day). I did "24-hour or more" fast 4 times. I once did a 30-hour fast as well.

Anyway, I am mostly doing 14-hour intermittent fasts currently. May increase that to 16. I have been a bit distracted lately.
