Who do you think will clock the fastest delivery in this years edition?

Hasnain
Rauf
Musa
Naseem
Shaheen
Dilbar
Wahab

Any other contenders?

I am having a feeling that Shaheen will touch 155k this season and some upcoming Fast bowler will touch 148k and get hyped up.

My guesses , lets see if it happens.

You dont hit 155 without training for it.
Shaheen doesn't train for it.

Think it'll be Hasnain, but won't be surprised if Wahab still bowls quicker than most of the young 'uns.

Missed the part where you told us that you are his personal trainer. Anyway, he has been constantly touching high 140s even in his 4th spells in 2 innings of tests. He recently clocked 154 in Pak vs SA Test. People were quick to point out that it might be an error. It might but the way Shaheen has been bowling for the past six months it's not impossible for him to do that.

I think Shaheen will bowl the fastest bowl this PSl.

Few years back (Rahat, Junaid, Imran, Sohail, Post ban Amir etc) where all bowling at less than 140. After ban Amir touched 145 only on rare occasions. Only Wahab was quick but mostly around 135 and rarely 145+. Now Shaheen has increased his pace, Hasnain, Rauf, Naseem are all real quick. But still only Shaheen looks like international quality.

Hasnain could kick off this contest tonight.

Would be tough to call with quite a few candidates who can touch high 140s or even 150 kph + on their day but, I think average wise Hasnain can be one of the fastest while Shaheen has also been ramping up his average speeds. Would like Naseem to find his rhythm back and touch those high 140s as well.

Mohammad Wasim Jnr could possibly the new entry to the speed club based upon how he was bowling in domestic cricket this season.

Yes really forward to seeing Mohammed Wasim. His batting also has a lot of potential and he seems to have the potential to become a solid allrounder

Hasnain 145.1kph today

Can Naseem break that?

You know things are bad when the entire factor of quality is based on speed. No wonder our fast bowlers get smashed.

Hasnain got some decent away swingers going but overall he is a bit erratic. I didn’t see the whole game so I don’t know how well Naseem Shah bowled. Amir bowled pretty well too.

Quickest so far (145kph+)
Hasnain - 147.5 kph
Daniyal - 145.5 kph
Naseem - 145.4 kph
Shaheen - 144.x kph

What about Saqib Mehmood, haven't seen him bowl but I thought he'd be right up there.

Shaheen was a military medium pacer when he first came onto the scene, with only the odd delivery touching 140kph. I’m not sure what exactly happened for him to now become one of the fastest bowlers in the world

I didn’t know Rauf could crank them up so high. That’s pretty impressive!

147 kph yorker from Rauf rips out middle stump

Quickest so far

Shaheen - 149.2
Rauf - 149

Good pace competition between the two. They were consistently over 143 kph today.

Rauf is a very “tapeya” style bowler. He doesn’t get much movement and prefers to bowl cross seam. I think someone like him will probably not graduate successfully to tests or ODIs unless he learns how to use his pace to move the ball around in a classical way.

Hasnain getting in on the action too, he hit 147 as well

Well, he was like 17 years old. Only 20 still but he's filled out a bit more and gotten stronger. Not suffering any major injuries also help.

I hope Shaheen doesn't push himself too much in PSL. Pakistan have an extremely busy and important schedule ahead of them.

Shaheen - 149.2 kph
Hasnain - 147.5 kph
Haris - 147.2 kph
Daniyal - 145.5 kph
Naseem - 145.4 kph

We probably have the quickest set of bowlers who can clock 140k+ , I don't think there is any Nation in the world having dozen of bowlers capable of consistent 140k+ in every match they play.

Who will break the 150 kph barrier first in the tournament ?

Shaheen most likely

I’ve gone for SSA

He has the ability to surprise us with a 155kmh random delivery. I don’t think the others such as Rauf and Hasnain will exceed the odd 150

Just saw BBL and even with 5kph overrated speed guns they still don't have so many bowlers bowling 140k with ease.

Because several of the best bowlers were in the Australian squad and not playing the BBL. In T20s, Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins, Pattinson, Jhye Richardson, James Pattinson, Billy Stanlake, Riley Meredith are just the ones off the top of my head that bowl 140kph with ease. Cameron Green was touching 140kph on ODI debut against India coming off a serious back injury, and has been reported to be comfortably above when at full fitness. Pretty sure I've seen players like Daniel Worrall and Michael Neser also hit 140kph pretty regularly in the BBL.

I must have missed Shaheen's 149kph delivery- wow! Hasnain has been constantly cranking it up too. Rauf is a bit inconsistent, but less so than Naseen Shah. Hasan Ali has also been quite quick as of late. Pretty great to see some speedsters in Pak once more. Unsure who to vote for, but leaning towards Shaheen with Hasnain close behind...

Remind me guys, how fast was a prime Steyn? Got a feeling he could hit consistent 145kph+ in ODIs and T20s, but may be wrong.

If this was the IPL we would have been debating names such as Nortje, Furgueson, Archer

But Alhamdolillah we can debate with our own resources. That’s a massive plus!

Dhani consistently around the 143 kph mark. Fantastic consistency

Really impressed by Dhani's speed, maybe for now Rizwan should allow him to complete all his 4 overs before the 15 overs mark.

These tape ball bowlers are all so raw yet clock 90mph from two step runups.

The Mohammad( karnal) zahid guy from the qalandars clocks 150 kph I reckon. Prolly the fastest atm. Pity he has no IQ whatsoever.

All these bowlers and even someone like Muhammad hafeez would have completely different careers in the English system for example.

Shaheen has bowled the fastest i belevie so far with 149.2 kph but in terms of average pace hasnain has been better.

PSL 2021
Shaheen - 149.2 kph
Hasnain - 148.7 kph
Daniyal - 148.3 kph
Dhani - 147.3 kph
Haris - 147.2 kph
Naseem - 145.4 kph

Lots of natural ability, however very low IQ and fine-tuning of skill.

The pace does not surprise me one bit. There are faster speed demons than these guys waiting to be discovered.

Seen Shahnawaz?
I see him as a star in the making. Colourful character and a very good test bowler in the making.

I haven't. Is there a clip or thread?

Hit Kami bhai on the head in his first game. Bowls natural inswing with the new ball, but can also shape it away from the RHB. Maxed out at 147 kph today, and is pretty rhythmic.
The action needs slight tweaking but more importantly, the bowling IQ is also decent with him.
He seems to have a great temperament, fitness and character to run in all day and was wonderful to watch in the Quaid e Azam trophy.
