hello everyone,

what do you think guys who has got the best celebration for taking wickets/century.

my choice one and only THE BEAST.:afridi

Afridi no doubt. Jumping/running around is pretty standard stuff ... standing there arms in the air with a Herculean expression is game changing stuff. :afridi

:akhtar was very special a decade ago. Now its just not the same :(

The Akhtar 'jahaaz' celebration.Even Aamer and other bowlers try to replicate that.

Although I think the coolest celebration ever is what Wasim Akram did sometimes ... just stroll across to the keeper as if nothing had happened, with a 'What's the big deal?' expression. Sheer class.

Afridi's was a joy to watch in the beginning, but hes been doing it for 2 years non stop now for virtually every wicket.
It would have served him better had he kept that trademark celebration a little more exclusive.

I loved Wasim Akram's appeal/shouting and the way he pumped his fist.
Loved it

Has to be Shoaib for me. I love his aeroplane, especially when he smashes the stumps.

ye bi koi puchne ki baat hai ofcourse of the LEGEND and BOOM BOOM AFRIDI. he has his own style and way to do it and i love it. even when i play and i take wkt i do the same but me, im a fast bowler so i dont do it on every wkt but mostly do it when its a catch out or a run out by me ;)

I hate Afridi's only because he does it nearly every wicket (the still pose, fingers in air)... if he mixed up a little, it would be great.... that pose should be reserved for special moments...

I liked that he ran after the 2nd wicket in 2 balls, see that was mixing it up... and then you really get pumped up and love it... but repeating the same celebration then loses it's potency after a while...

love Shoaib's celebrations always, the arms, the finger pointing, the sweat puring down like he's come out the shower and forgot a towel...

Umar's can be ok sometimes, at times he poses well...

Steyn is quite intense (in a good way)...
Brett Lee can aslo get excited, but can look a biot g*y as well at times

For me the best celebrations are no celebration's at all, it has this arrogance yet confident way about it. I have seen some videos of Micheal Holding and a few other West Indian bowlers and I love how the just stroll past the batsman knowing that this wouldn't be the first nor the last time they dismiss a batsman.

Watch from 1:50 that's just awesome. :nehra

Seriously though, nothing beats Akhtar's. Not even the Waz.

afridi stole this celebration :moyo

lala XI ZINDABAD

afridi's style beats the rest but i agree he should add a bit of variation to it. its getting a bit over. must say he was stunning thoughout the 09 t20 wc in terms of spontaneous celebrations.

i think overall the pakis celebrate really enthusiastically n its elating for a neutral observer:fawad
, but in case of the indian celebrations, i hate it when they all fall on each other on the ground as if their celebrating in their house, creating a MESS in the field. there should b some civic sense in the players as professionals; iv seen these "lying down" celebrations a few times now from the indians.

Apart from the JET - this has to be one of the celebrations I will never forget ; It's as if he's indicating to Afridi that "he is back"...

akhtars aeroplane was a joy, afridis is okay too. i used to enjoy asif's nonchalant celebrations when dismissing players he didnt rate.

nothing makes me happier than seeing Umar Akmal do the sajda and kiss the star, or the double fist pump leap from Gully.

For one of the most craziest and creative celebrations it has gotta go to Dave Mohammad of T&T

Shoaib Akhtar nothing beats him when in mood... Remember What he did to KP and his flying arms...

Afridi for me because i do this every time i take a wicket or score a century (Goosebumps)

afridi and akhter no doubt.....akhters "landing albatross" is a delight to watch and afrid style is just royal, he lets the others rush to the king, whilst the king stands there royally and looks around majestically :p

Shoaib is the king, always has been.

Asif's used to be quite good, like a school boy.

Sami. Unfortunately, he only got to do it every 50 runs...

Zaheer Khan's is always good. He's always angry nowadays.

West Indians. All of them.

Afridi without a doubt!
And then Akthar!
And then No one else!

Lala, his hands raised towards the skies. Waiting for everyone to gather around him, and celebrate together! Just like in my avatar.

Shahid Afridi! All the way!

and we can also add Danish Kaneria's "BATTAKH" celebration ! :D

Recently it is Afridi, but back in the day it was akhtar no doubt! the aeroplane gliding so smoothly. What a sight!
But indeed now when shaadi celebrates spreading himself hands raised, fingers pointing and the big grin they is not better celebration in cricket

akhtars aeroplane was a joy, afridis is okay too. i used to enjoy asif's nonchalant celebrations when dismissing players he didnt rate.

Akhtar got the aeroplane from a certain Allan Anthony Donald, who was the first cricketer to do it. Donald in turn got it from Clive Barker (SA's football coach at the time), when SA won the Africa Cup of Nations football tournament in 1996.

lol @ Gavaskar.

cricket is a great leveler alright...leveled Sachin's offstump! :)))

It has to be Akhtar for me, that celebration has always been fantastic.

One of my personal favourites was the classic Akhtar and Kaneria chicken dance to Pietersen. Watch from 33 seconds. :akhtar :danish

yah Donald has to be my favourite. ledge.

Akthar's is cult but I do love Saeed Ajmal's celebration especially when it's a pressure moment.

we understand. Indian can't pick that many wickets, so you wouldn't know that many celebrations.:ajmal

Afridi does need to do his celebration a little more rarely...

How could people forget this one...

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/8sPChZecDGo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Walsh and Ambrose could buss some serious celebrations in their day... they used to also hurtle through tails a bit like the W's did...

who can forget the iconic celebrations after West Indies beat Australia (in Adelaide) 4th Test in 93, where they won by 1 run!!. Still goes down as one of the best tests in history.

For those who aint seen or need a reminder.., check out Walsh taking the last wicket when it seems Australia had got over the line with 1 run needed, and the wild football like celebrations... beautiful....

mohammad yousuf's face after he picked up that wicket against zimbabwe in the 2007 WC was pretty funny.

Shoaib Akhtar 's chicken dance celebration

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Hs3mz14j-44" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

What about the Pak team's celeberations during the U-19 final with India a few years back... Anwar Ali et al.... wild celebrations.... absolutely wicked!!

From the past, it was both Wasim and Waqar with Waqar being much more powerful and animated.

Currently, there is hardly anyone. Afridi used to be good but he has over done it now.
