Ian Bishop believes that Jofra Archer has the best bowling action in the world.

There are many other names who arguably have the best bowling action such as Kagiso Rabada, James Anderson and Pat Cummins.

Who do you think has the best bowling action in the world?

Don’t think Cummins’ action is very smooth, that weird sidestep before delivery stride.

I think Archer’s is pretty good.

Cummins. But in my unpopular opinion, a smooth bowling action does not look good and is too boring.
Jofra has the smoothest action, so I don't like it too much

I think it has to be Cummins. Not only very effective, but able to shoulder a very heavy workload without getting injured. Time will tell, but I believe that Jofta and Bumrah are going to spend significant time out of the game

Jimmy’s action is also wonderful, and for me is probably the best after cummins

Bishop is right.

Archer is the best fast bowler in the world and a remarkably smooth bowling action. The amount of pace that he generates with such a simple action is amazing.

However, purely from an aesthetic point of view, I love watching Boult.

Archer followed by Rabada, Anderson and Steyn. I think Shaheen’s action is pretty smooth as well amongst young ones.

Cummins. But in my unpopular opinion, a smooth bowling action does not look good and is too boring.

Lillee, Hadlee and later Gough had actions that were like watching cream pour. Beautiful, poetry in motion.

Watch the later Lillee from the moment he kicks off at the start of his run - the smooth acceleration, the head fixed on target, the leap and follow through - like a great cat striking.

I would say Dale Steyn has the best action. That was the best action I have seen in my lifetime.

Is the sling action bowling style the most overrated trick in cricket?

Some say its unorthodox arm angle and late swing make it unhittable, while others claim it's just a gimmick that gets lucky wickets.

Can a bowler with a sling action really outsmart top-class batters, or is it just a novelty that gets exposed at the highest level?

Personally Allan Donald by a country mile. Start to finish the most beautiful action i have ever seen.

Greatest of all time and a phenomenal bowling action. Very powerful.

My definition of a great bowling action however is one that is smooth, rhythmic and extremely repeatable.

Glen Macgrath
Mohammad Asif

have beautiful repeatable actions and were pretty effective as well.

I’m gonna say Inzamam bowling left arm fast.

There are two types on answers here.

Bowling actions that look graceful and are a feast to the eye -

Shane Bond
Dale Steyn
Zaheer Khan
Mitchell Starc

Bowling actions that are very easy , rhythmic and feel good to replicate in real life -

Brett Lee
Tim Southee
Jofra Archer
Mohammad Asif

I was just going by artistry
He was an artist with his run up, th a jump, release, follow through everything in absolute sync. I would add steyn as well..But he runs too fast. Donald gathers the momentum slowly

Fully agreed.
Donald was pure athlete. A mustang.

Courtney Walsh bowling action is therapy to me as a cricket fan.

Such a well oiled machine. Felt like he could keep bowling the whole day.

Presently not many entertaining express quicks but Starc, Rabada, Amir and Carse are all great to watch.

All time, Shoaib Akhtar is right at the top.

Not being biased here but:

Michael Holding
Imran Khan
Waqar Younis
Shoaib Akhtar
Sami
Brett Lee

Mohammad Asif’s bowling action had a stronger effect than viagra. No other bowler has that capability.

Retired:
Steyn
Allan Donald
Wasim
Chaminda Vaas

Current:
Trent Boult
Rabada
James Anderson

South Africa are good at producing smooth fluid pacers.
