You get weak players in IPL just like you get weak players in international cricket. What’s the point?
 
In the very first auction in 2008, when ipl didnt have a window. No English players were allowed in the Ipl and no one knew how ipl will fare, Dhoni was bought for $1.5 mn. Its still more than the team cap of $1.1 mn of PSL in 2020.

Thats the difference. No one gets anything free.

Ipl paid to get this window by signing players for millions.

I remember how these same IPL fans were abusing and criticising Deepak Chahar in those International T20 match threads where he was trundling in.

Comparing this 28 years old bowler who is only going to represent India in T20's at most with a 20 years old bowler who is going to represent Pakistan in all formats of the game is a joke. These fans are not only arrogant but also shows no respect to other players and countries. :inti

IPL faced big opposition from ECB and was regularly criticized by english commies and press. English players were denied clearance to play in the IPL initially. Then there were regular issues of players leaving mid way.

Yet IPL went on to finally get a window in its 12th season.

Ipl got a window in 2019. That was season 12.

IPL was paying $1mn plus in salaries in 2008, season 1. Thats more than the salary cap of a psl team.

PSL doesn't have the money to get a window.

Outbid IPL for players and take the window.

That’s my point. It’s a basic discussion on Talent and quality but Joshila can’t keep money out of it.

That's not the first time he or anyone else is doing it. Whenever questions are raised over their IPL superstars performances they start showing the cheques these superstars are getting and calling others jealous. All this money and fame but we still can't win(buy) ICC trophies these days. :inti

Bhai at what point the major topic of this thread has been Afridi Vs Chahar?

The point is about the bench strength bowler. Afridi is clearly not a bench bowler, but a mainstay. Afridi does not even come into question. The discussion is here between the likes of Rauf etc vs Mavi/Saini etc.
 
its all about the $$$ , even listening to the English commies during the summer tours, the amount of underhanded jibes and comments they made about keeping their employees happy anytime Kohli was mentioned was amusing. Kevin Pieterson at one point blatantly made a point of saying he was going to go on holiday and get paid the big bucks, shane warne aswell. . if psl had the same money to through do you not think the same players would turn up. People are talking like Boult, Warner etc have loyalties to their franchises, they do not care and will follow the money.

If not now but very soon Naseem Haris will establish themselves and one of Sameen Akif Javed Hasnain Diibar will be in reserves ......... They r way young and has long learning curve ...... Saheen will soon have company of able partners...... .
 
This is i am not saying Cricinfo says....

We have just done a stats check for IPL and Umesh has bowled 211 balls that are classified as leg stump or wide down Leg In 72 innings. Most in the tournament. Next highest is Bhuvi with 185 balls in 80 innings.

Why does PSL deserve a window, when it cannot afford to pay the necessary amounts. If IPL did not pay so much, it would not get a window

It doesn't deserve ridicule. It is not fair to compare the two leagues, it is like comparing country cricket div 1 to div 2. IPL will always have better players, as it can afford to pay them. They are given a window as the ICC is not going to put players in the position of choosing between millions and playing for their country. IPL was a success before the window as cricket is simply more popular in India.

If Pakistan was a big enough player, it would get a window and attract the big names. At the moment, you should just be content with it being a 2nd tier league

No, RCB is notoriously weak on fast bowlers. Say who you think an equivalent to DUbe would be from PSL. There are probably only 15/20 better than him

My point is that two games cannot be used to judge a player. That applies to batsmen and bowlers
 
Brilliant fielding on show aswell in the IPL , led by that man Kohli, did he eat a few parathe before the game hands still seem like they got butter on it.

PSL cannot attract big names, thats why it doesn't have a window.

Its ridiculed because people like you think that its better than a league that actually has all the big names.

Find one post in my name where I said PSL as a whole is better than IPL. Of course it’s the best league in the world with Dube bowling 110kmh yorkers
 
I agree with rana. some of these indian reserves shouldn't even be bowling. in my opinion if you can't bowl above 135 consistently then don't bowl. it's not entertaining at all when you watch these bench players trundle.

My point is, bowl whoever you want. But don’t go around telling the world that this is as good as international standard cricket, and everything else is laughable.

depends which bowlers are bowling.

t20 is a tool to test out bench players, reserves and scrubs. Should always be that way.
 
I don’t know what Hardik’s bowling status is post injury but pre injury Hardik can easily make it as a bowler alone in all Pakistan teams based on the list I provided above. Shaheen and Hardik opening the bowling would make the Pakistan pace attack look a lot more potent
