Aaron still clocks 150ks. Did in last years IPL.

Salvi? Vrv?Balaji? are you even serious? These guys were TTFs and discarded.
The UAE phase started in 2009.
What happened from 1989 to 2009?
I tell you how a tradition or real factory is,
India has a tradition of producing world class batsmen,
Gavaskar was the first legendary batsmen, he retired in 87. Within 2 years 1989 Tendulkar made his debut, he was joined by Dravid Ganguly VVS Sehwag then Gambhir.
While these guys were still playing Kohli made his debut, he was then joined by Rohit Dhawan etc.
While these guys are still playing India is trying to get in the next gen of Shaw, Gill, Iyer, Pant etc.
Since 1970s an India is always among the top 3 batsman of the world.
70s-80s Gavaskar
90s Tendulkar
2000s Tendulkar Dravid
2010s Kohli
While Pakistan hasnt produced a fast bowler to carry on the legacy of Imran Khan and the 2 Ws.
So shadab is an overacting clown for topping the PSL batting charts, being listed on ICC’s top 5/10 bowler and all rounder rankings, and consistently having impact in the field but curran is terrific for doing well in one IPL game?
Nice![]()
Nobody is doubting India's legacy as a batting powerhouse.......topic is about local pace bowlers.........legacy of Pak was derailed by 2010 saga somewhat but it will be on track.....soon.......the factory is operating in any stage u will find Pak having a potent attack......sometimes its attack is Gul Junaid Irfan.....sometimes it's Amir Asif Wahab......sometimes it's Razzaq Rana Sabbir sometimes it's Saheen Wahab Rauf........in between u have Tanvirs Cheemas....... There are always the flag bearer ...... Hopefully in coming days the flag will be in the hand of Saheen Naseem Akif Rauf.....who else.......only Allah knows........
That Bhuvi who is a doubtful starter in ODIs ........tHAT Bhuvi who bowls 185 poor balls in 70 IPL innings according to cricinfo stats. One Hasan Ali is never a benchmark.. Pak can afford loosing Amir and Hasan........can Ind afford to loose Bumrah and Sami.......the answer we all are seeking in this thread lies there..........
So u r sure they will have the same impact as Saheen.....when they debut i e if they debut .........in future........I have said earlier that one is a well accustomed test attack ....Ishant having played 97 tests...... Whereas Pak attack is just shaping.......it's not that Pak is desperate but Pak has always infused talent at very young age....... your ISHANT debuted at 19 years of age......if I m not wrong....... It's always something special which induces a board or selector to pick a player .....it's same for Miandad Akram Tendulkar Ishant.......it's same for Haidar Ali Babar Saheen Naseem.........m i forgetting something yes IRFAN PATHAN.....I think he was introduced very young too......WARNER has played for Australia in tests without playing first class........every body will follow the same path it's not written anywhere.........it's that spark that something special which encourages the selectors to give that particular player a chance it's not desperation.........in some leagues players like Banton Naseem Hasnain make their name whereas else u will find WARRIER Avesh Mavi NATRAJAN Krishna struggling to make a name

Pakistan is desperate. Take out Shaheen and Naseem. Who will be the next in line mature bowlers that pakistan have?
Pathan made his debut fir Baroda in 2000. Played for India in 2003 december. After almost 3 years of domestic cricket.
Ishant too played couple of years of FC cricket.
As i said its the system.
In India players are picked on basis of FC and A tours not on the basis of leagues.
Made name? What has Hasnain or Naseem achieved except that due to shortage of fast bowlers pakistan is forced to play them.
If its regarding speed, then Krishna has hit 150ks in IPL multiple times. Mavi was bowling in 149s in IPL before his injury last year. They will play for India when they have gone through the system.
For every Natarajan or Warrier there are numerous no name players who play in the leagues. Most of us wont even know their name since those leagues have limited following.
If i start going through squad lists of psl or cpl teams many such names will come out. But with every Warrier, there is a Cummins or Ferguson in the team. For every Avesh there is a Rabada or Nortje.
so god knows what your point is
In fact only God knows what your point is.you are indirectly accepting my logic in your last paragraph that IPL franchises have to fall pack on foreign pacers in order to maintain a semblance in their pace attack as without them it will be not even the level of Scotland Ireland .....or even Holland......... Just remove Rabada Nortje Curran Hazelwood .......u r left with a nothing attack.........
Wait for national t20 .......wait for Saheens tour to New Zealand.......
As far as t20 is concerned and since these are t20 leagues and since 2 back to back world cup is due this is the line of attack of Pak .....
Amir
Saheen
Wahab
RAuf
Hasnain
Shinwari
Tanvir
Sameen gul
Musa
Akif Javed
Ahmed Butt
Faheem
Many names will gradually role out once we get to see more PSL tournament.........indeed we will keep ur excitement intact..... Don't worry......
At last good u r beginning to accept the truth
literally all those bowlers are trash barring amir and shaheen in t20s. not even going to address tests.
Can you tell me who has debut for pakistan post Waqar who can be called an ATG fast bowler?
Which pakistani fast bowler has taken 200 test wickets after making his debut post 1989?
The last truly great fast bowler fron pakistan made his debut 31 years back and retired 17 years back.
India has had atleast 1 ATG level player in the team since Gavaskar made his debut in 1971, except may be for a couple of years here or there. Thats legacy.
Leave that, India has had numerous batsman who has avgd over 40 in tests with minimum 4000 test runs. An equivalent will be 200 test wickets below 30 avg, how many pakistani fast bowlers has done that?
The only reason why Pakistan have Shaheen and Naseem already playing for their national team is because none of their seniors between age group 20-30 were able to maintain the standard of international cricket. Hasan Ali was hyped to moon in the first couple of years but he is nowhere now and doesn't even have 100 tests wickets to his name. Amir retired with 130 test wickets and doesn't even has 100 ODI wickets till now.
If Pakistan knew how to handle their talented bowlers, they would be having a couple of fast bowlers with around 250 and 150 wickets each currently and Shaheen would have been introduced as their young bowler in the team.
Amir's lack of interest in red ball cricket and the injury and overkill of t20 and t10 matches has taken the steam out of Hasan Ali..... It's difficult for him to return soon and even if he returns he won't creat similar impact. A board can't do anything if it's players don't pick and choose and play all ABC leagues available....... Hasan is now seeing the effects. A board can't do anything when it's star bowler suddenly change his mind and say no to red ball cricket. If Amir doesn't show any improvement his place and contract will be gone.
Pak has learnt it's lesson and has now guarded it's main bowlers from going away from red ball cricket. In fact it has started to identify and earmarked talent for particular format.
The age group of 20 30 has Amir Hasan Rauf ..........the lionshare of bowlers are within or around 20......it's a blessing to have such a pool ............so that atleast 3 out of the pool can carry on the same way and play to their potential it will be enough.....
Pakistan can afford to loose Amir and Hasan, can India afford to loose Bumrah and Sami........
How are Pakistan affording to lose Amir and Hasan? They have thrown two young guys to face the music and their lack of experience was clearly visible in test matches. They played Shaheen and Naseem, both flopped and are averaging over 30 right now. This is where they missed experience of a bowler who has taken 200 wickets in his bag and still doing good.
As for India, Ishant is still there alongside Bumrah and Shami. Saini also looks ready for test cricket now, was impressive in NZ limited overs series. We also have Bhuvi who is brilliant in T20s and can be lethal in certain conditions. These are all backups. For T20s, there is Deepak Chahar in the mix as well.
Young Indian pacers are still learning, trying to get more experience but the signs of worry will only come after few years when we won't have Shami and Ishant.

So 200 test wickets is a benchmark now lol? Pakistan has produced more fast bowlers than India which means they had many options to replace any bowler who was going through a bad form/phase. Latest example is M Amir.
This thread is about fast bowling. Good thing about Pakistan is they give their young bowlers a chance too early in their careers rather than waiting for them to become trundlers like Indian selectors do.![]()
Yesterday the benchmark for success was a semi final. Today 200 Test wickets

Out of trash comes out talent.........it's up to PCB to nurture them identify them.......I think we are not discussing test leagues ri8.......it's t20 leagues........and we have 2 world t20s...... Wahab Rauf Akif are no trash
oh ok. yea true. Btw people aren't talking about Australia's fast bowling stocks. Most suck barring the top 2. take cummins and starc out and their attack is impotent in all formats. hazelwood is only decent as a support bowler when he can thrive off his partner's hard work (starc /cummins) and pick up the scraps.
their young guns are terrible in shield. Aaron summers and Riley Meredith average over 35 in first class. Mediocre bowlers. They have a little bit of pace but can never sustain it nor are they consistent with line and length.
Pakistan's bench reserves is better than Aussies. England's depth in bench reserves is pretty poor too tbh but in t20 it doesn't matter much as any fodder can pick up random wickets.
Jhyle Richardson is pretty underrated.......... I don't rate others that much......since changing action Starc is not that effective......infact the local bowling resources are ok......that's it....
England have one of the best seam bowlers buddy Archer Wood Woakes Stokes to go with Jordan Curran ......tom Curran is not that good......but they have good t20 players overall
take archer out and it's mediocre in tests and odi.
in t20 anyone can shine.
even trundler curran is good in t20 and helpful conditions for tests.
stokes isn't that great in odi and t20 in terms of bowling
So Pakistan’s bench strength is better than Ozzies, Indians, England, etc., probably the best in the world.
Pakistan’s bench players might be even better than their first choice.
Wonder why these bench bowlers never play for Pakistan? Why do they have to rely on 17 year olds or a disinterested 30 year old who aren’t helping them win much.
Sandeep not playing today?
Noooooooooooooooooo
30 year old Varun ...a mystery spinner playing.....
Pakistan could win only 3 out of the last 11 T20Is they played in the last year. Yet selectors didn’t pick the best bench warmers in the world. What injustice.![]()
Apparently DK has no confidence on him against Warner .....LOLWill Nagarkoti even get to bowl in this match? Or does Kartik intend to bore us with Narine, Kuldeep and chakarvati?
Almost beaten england at their backyard in both tests and t20s......had broken the back of England middle order in first match........rain saved them.......it could have been 2 1....easily..........selectors have already trying out different combinations as u know we have 2 worldcups esp one in Australia selectors want to give more opportunities to them.........just wait national t20 is round the corner followed by PSL knockouts........we will keep u interested
Almost beaten. Haha. You could compete primarily because of Hafeez and Wahab’s brilliance. Both youngsters from the 2000s.
Bottom line is 3/11 wins in last 12 months!
“Almost beaten” trophy went to you naseem. We got the real one.![]()
You can’t take the urge of bowling a slower ball out of an indian fast bowler
let Nagarkoti bowl man! What’s the point of giving him a debut if your not going to give him a proper spell?
Yes almost won the champions trophy and world cup trophy goes to u....aloo partha or bread pakora.....whatever u wish
Yes. Ignore scorecard. Ignore 3/11 wins.Bottom line is you have missed Haider innings....and then Saheens opening burst..... apparently u have also missed Rauf spell too........so bottom line is u have only kept tap on scoreboard ha ha.......botoline is your bowling resources is at rock bottom
Brother, there’s a separate match commentary thread. Also genuine question, how’s he bowling according to you?
I didn’t say anything about almost winning a trophy. You did.
And we have 2 ODI world cups. Don’t need imaginary ones.![]()
He’s decent. So is Mavi, but they won’t grow quicker as fast bowlers. They will slowly start depending on slower balls and variations. These two have not physically grown physically since the u19 wc where they impressed.
I know watching IPL gives u lot of pain......seeing the current match Pandey couldnt buy a run......DK showing no faith in Mavi Nagarkoti....... A 30 year old spinner making a mark....... It really sickens ........it sucks .....literally ...I can understand your pain......if Pak t20 record gives u joy ......brings even a slightest ray of hope in your dark universe ........I m happy 4 u.....
At least I don't have to go through the misery of watching my team win only 3 games out of 11 in 12 months. I don't watch IPL. Don't want to spend $49 on Hotstar. At least I don't have to go through the misery of watching my team win only 3 games out of 11 in 12 months.
![]()
Btw naseem Manish Pandey made 51 @ 134. That's better than Babar's average AND his SR. Yet you say "he couldn't buy a run"![]()
What was that by Nagarkoti on the boundary?
What is this nonsense??? 2 overs only for Nagarkoti and Mavi! I hope KKR lose so hard today
2 overs each by Russel and Kuldeep as well. Very strange. Why would you not make these 4 bowlers bowl their full quota?
So Mavi probably bowls 70% of his deliveries as slower balls, what’s the point man?
Confidence man confidence.......cap has more confidence on Cummins Varun hell even Russel .......for that matter
Russel is foreigner .......should have given more chance to local players so that they gain experience .......it's sadRussel bowled only 2 overs. No confidence in him too! Outrageous. This reminds me of Pakistan's selectors not picking up the right talent and going ahead with Hafeez, Malik, Yasir, etc.
Khaleel Bhuvi are a nothing bowler
Khaleel agree but Bhuvi? When conditions are right...he is one of the best LOI bowlers.
Khaleel agree but Bhuvi? When conditions are right...he is one of the best LOI bowlers.
Bhuvi Khaleel NATRAJAN all gave 9 rpo in this small score encounter........ Scary .picture of indian limited resources is getting clearer day by day
The difference is not between bowlers...
Rather batsmen... Which are near pathetic in Pakistan who makes even a mediocre bowlers look dashing...
Pakistani batsmen don't hv power to hit sixes... That's why the lost miserably to srilankan 3rd string side....
That's why they reverted back to old hafeez nd malik to bail their pathetic batting line up out....
I mean this topic is ridiculous.. both nation hv similar bowling resources...
But their is a vast difference between batting talent
India with its limited resources is above Pakistan in the ranking in all formats, what does that tell you about your team?
