Which of New Zealand's semi-final wins was more thrilling: Auckland 2015 or Old Trafford 2019?

Australia won two very tight semi finals in 1996 Mohali and Edgbaston in 1999 (Tied).

But generally speaking in history books Edgbaston Semi final of 1999 has completely brushed aside their fantastic Mohali 1996 semi final win.

My question is very simple.

Which of New zealand's semi final win has been more breath taking and jaw dropping.

We can not ignore AB De Villiers form in 2015 World cup
We can not ignore Kohli and Sharma's form in 2019 world cup.

In 2015 Kiwiz had home advantage.

Therefore In My opinion this semi final win was marginally better.

But as for the moment I still think Grant Elliot's Six was more emotional than Guptill's run out of Dhoni. Because even with Dhoni not be run out, Kiwiz could have won it easily.

I'd prefer today's win simply because SA were unfortunate due to the rain at Auckland. They were looking for a score around 350 easily before the heavens opened. That DLS calculation at the break was flawed as well, giving NZ almost 20-25 runs fewer to chase than what was probably merited on a tiny ground.

Today was one of the best one-day matches you can ever hope to see. It just underscores the fact that cricket is so much better when the ball has a slight edge over the bat.

2015. New Zealand were always ahead in this game when bowling. Whilst in 2015, you never what the result would be until Grant Elliot hit the ball over the fence.

As neutral, 2015 was more thrilling but this one was very much close as well particularly, when Jadeja batted like champion. It was goosebumps really. If any SA fan says for 15 semi match, rain hurt them, then it is not really an invalid point.

Both the times I was supporting the team that lost the match and both are without any doubt the best match of that particular tournament.

India is a bigger team than South Africa can dream to be, that Guptil run out is a knockout punch. And this is probably the best run out in the history of cricket. Kiwis will blindly take this over 2015 also not to mention it’s not home conditions (similar to home conditions but on paper it’s away ) .

I rate this performance way higher as India bossed the group stages and only lost marginally to England, could have won that game. Kiwis were written off and commentators were even talking about who india would prefer to play in the final, what an insult to the Kiwis.

Even after the South Africa vs Australia match presentation, faf said he is expecting an India vs England final. I have a feeling England will be knocked out tomorrow.

2015 was way better, the game was so close. The tight finish and the emotions shown by the south africans along with the bat drop from ex South African Grant Elliot after the gamewinning shot made for great theater.

2019 win is way better... Most importantly this game went on to next day with rain and high emotion with almost no support from the crowd .. NZ won this by working really hard in the field.

2015 for sure. Yesterday's match was great but played in a relatively empy stadium, and because of the rain in day 1, didn't flow much. New Zealand were also huge underdogs in this match yesterday as everyone expected them to lose anyway. 2015 was superb. Decided off the penultimate ball, under the floodlights, to a packed stadium in New Zealand. Auckland 2015 wins easily for me, but yesterday was a great game too.

Going at 7 an over in a shortened game is not equivalent to being asked to go at 7 an over for the full 50. I just think the South Africans were brutally unfortunate not to progress because of rain.

Yesterday's game was more of a one sided affair. Looking at the scorecards at face value may suggest otherwise, however NZ were on top of India throughout the innings.

NZ v SA contest is arguably the greatest WC match of all time.
