Some big wicket takers in this list

Anderson on his last legs, Lyon maybe but Starc and Ashwin - look all set for bigger numbers.

Ages of these legends

James Anderson : 41 years and 4 months old.
Nathon Lyon : 36 years and 1 month old.
Ravichandran Ashwin : 37 years and 3 months old.
Tim Southee : 35 years and 7 day old
Mitchell Starc : 33 years and 11 months old.

I think Jimmy will end up higher on this chart as he had already 690 wickets but I think Ashwin can get much closer to him if he plays another 3 years.

Best part is, nobody in the lineup cares about stats.. they are playing for country

Ashwin shouldn’t be considered, he is a shrewd chucker

how do you know that?

Cummins mentioned that Lyon had been going on about his 499 wickets for the last 6 months. Offcourse he said it while laughing it off, but it does show that these cricketers keep an eye on there stats and do care about it.

Anderson likely has his eyes set on the 2025 Ashes.

If he gets there, no one is catching him from this lot.

Nathan Lyon will eventually break the record.

Australia has no upcoming spinner and Lyon knows that. He bowls well and is the only spinner for Australia. Guy can play till he is 45. He is quite fit and loves the field. Used to be a groundsmen.

Anderson doesnt produce the numbers that he used and as soon as England finds 2-3 pacers, he is gone.

Jimmy is finished he's gonna full pakistani the board , fans and media all wanted him to retire last summer , everyone though he reluctantly would when Stuart Broad called it a day.

Jimmy Anderson has already been the player with the most wickets among the current fast bowlers. Next in line will be Lyon.
