Not playing Jaiswal in the World Cup and sending him off to China for the Asian games has got to be one of the biggest blunders in Indian cricket history.

It's right up there with South Africa picking Vernon Philatrundler for the 2015 World Cup while completely ignoring a young firy Rabada, who would have satisfied the quota system too..
 
India lost their captain but jaiswal is looking good so far.

Rohit is well past by sell date. He is never a great Test player in Indian history. He got lucky to be getting chances over and over. Eventually had a few good series. Not many got that luck. Now he should call it a day.
 
Jaiswal is some batsman.

Eng could've made 400 and completely buried india. Nonetheless, england are well ahead

Stokes' bouncer barrage tactic will be very effective on this pitch, should definitely employ it at some stage.
 
Looks like it is Jaiswal will have to do the bulk of scoring again if India has to remain in the game. Rohit should just call it a day and walk away from the test and ODI team with dignity.

Seems like pitch went flat after that crazy opening hour yesterday? Even Ollie Robinson managed a 50.
 
Jaiswal and Jadeja the two standout performers for India and the difference makers in this series. Otherwise, it's pretty even steven between both sides, not much to choose.
 
This is a classic old school attritional style Test match, won’t be everyones cup of tea but is a treat to watch in my opinion.
 
So, Jadeja has picked 16 wickets in this series in 5 innings on relatively flatter wickets at avg of 23.62. Additionally, he has scored a 87 and 112 with bat.

They were celebrating like they were convinced it was out on the first angle! Stokes looks stunned.

Should match referee not fine Ben Stokes for continuously playing victim card and questioning umpiring decision?
 
That was a poor shot from Jaiswal. Nicked the ball pretty lazy and in a timid fashion.
 
When rohit take root catch rohit say he don't know that Carry or not and replay show ball touch the ground rohit not overreacted

Bashir makes the breakthrough for England!

The ball hits the crack just outside off stump, drifts in and traps Gill on the pad, with the umpire giving the Indian batter out after a loud appeal!

India review but it's unsuccessful, with replays showing the ball tracking to hit the stumps. The partnership is broken.
 
Patidar should savour this feeling. He may not wear Indian colours again.

Stokes was crying about DRS before this test and it's working here. A lot of call in favour of England even some decison change due to DRS .

Any runs from Patidar are a bonus.

English bowlers will be more frustrated with is 10 runs than 50 from Jaiswal. It feels unfair to concede runs to him.
 
Really I don't know,is it such a difficult thing for team management to understand that patidar is nothing player and plays spin in an awful manner than rahane.Defiitely Washington or axar must have been a good choice in place of him.worst thing is captain and team management have stopped taking responsibility for any mistakes.
 
Jaiswal is not getting enough strike due to patidar . Sarfaraz and jaiswal batting together is treat to watch
 
What a pathetic decision by rod tucker. Tucker is having shocking match and this is very poor decisions

Bashir does it again!

The ball skids off the pitch crashes into Patidar's pads, leading to another dismissal via LBW!

Patidar reviews but there's no escape, with replays show no bat involved and the ball tracker going onto hit leg stump.

Bashir has been brilliant today and England have their third.
 
Can anyone confirmed how many umpire call gone in favour of England so far in this test .many more to come
 
Critical point of the game as the two heroes of the series trying to win the series vs this England side alongwith 9 other passengers in the XI.
