I'd pick Woolmer but for the fact that he had abundance of riches - which Mickey doesn't have. So Mickey.
All the others - No impact.
Bob was good, but too soft for our culture.
We need danda and that's why Mickey is actually winning prizes.
who voted for Waqar Younis![]()
This is not a thread for " worst coach " , its best coach.
He set the foundations for Mickey

Voted for Inti as Pakistan have won the most trophies under his guidance and leadership when he was coach. Long live![]()

How dare you besmirch the Pep Guardiola of cricket (according to his fans) ?

Mickey managed to make us turn the corner in ODIs from an 80s ODI unit to one with a modern day template with some of the least star power on hand relative to the other coaches on the list.
I think Mickey has grown on a lot of people.
When he was appointed many questioned the decision but he has proved his credentials as a top coach. I particularly like his no-nonsense approach with the players and also the PCB.
Micky Arthur IMO. He was instrumental in helping Pakistan win champions trophy and drew 2 test series against England in England. These are accomplishments of highest degrees. One thing where he has failed completely is improving Pakistan players' fielding and fitness and that is a black mark on his performance until now.

Woolmer got us to top 3 in the ODI rankings if I remember correctly. Then again, his Pakistan side bombed out of pretty much every ICC tournament they played. Even stevens at the moment, although I'll take Mickey cause of the CT![]()
2004 test series was Javed MiandadLost 2 ODI series and the 2004 test series vs India at home as well.
2004 test series was Javed Miandad
We were no.3 in the ODI rankings if I remember correctlyBob Woolmer...although we didn't won any ICC tournament under him and had a disastrous 2007 WC, but we did beat a good Indian side in a Test series and beat a strong English team which had just won the Ashes in 2005. Also when Woolmer was around Australia were still a great side and South Africa under Smith were a tough unit. Sri Lanka wasn't a bad side either. And we were no.3 in the Test rankings. Overall the standard and quality of other teams at that time was much be better than today.
No doubt Micky Arthur. Won the champions trophy with a team that just about qualified for the tournament and the lowest ranked side whilst beating the 3 favourites in South Africa, England and India comfortably!
However, What Micky is doing now, Waqar wanted to implement years ago. But the PCB never listened too him.
Young blood, Fewer number of has beens in the squad as possible, Excellent fielders, Modern day approach to the game which is why I feel sorry for Waqar as he never got the players he wanted to make his own team.
Despite that, Don't forget how Pakistan reached the semi finals in the 2010 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup under his tenure as coach when the team went through their darkest phase in history and so many inner politics.
Can't take those who voted Mickey seriously...
Surely at the minimum you'd comprehend that while in Tests Mickey struggled especially in the UAE, he revitalised the limited overs team and put it on a roadmap to recovery in line with the modern demands / expectations, however Pak ripped that roadmap in half stunting all the progress which had been made and now you have Misbah, I feel sorry for Pakistan fans

Because they didn't vote for your hero Misbah.
