Man City 2 0 up at half time against Leeds.

Too easy so far.

City messing around with penalty takers.

Now Leeds score.

Interesting last few minutes.

Pep Guardiola really was making it clear to Erling Haaland that he should have taken that penalty instead of Ilkay Gundogan.

Crazy.

City 4 points clear.

Arsenal away at Newcastle.

Looks like the title will be heading to Manchester again.

Title race was over a few weeks ago when Arsenal handed it to City on a plate.

So, for Arsenal to win the league, Man City have to lose 2 or more games from remaining 4 games, and Arsenal need to win all 4 remaining games?

More chance of mamoon returning to sports forum and admitting he was wrong, then Arsenal win title.

There is no doubt there is one more twist left in the title race. Man City have three tricky away games coming up and they will be mentally and physically fatigued because of the battle with Real in the Champions League.

The cracks are beginning to show already. I thought they were well below their best against Fulham and Leeds and could have easily dropped points but somehow managed to get their act together.

Arsenal on the other hand have looked rejuvenated and revitalized after getting thrashed at the Etihad. They put themselves under too much pressure to beat City and couldn’t turn up on the day.

Losing that City game has mentally liberated Arsenal and took the weight off their shoulders. The win at Newcastle was easily the most impressive away win of the season and it would not have happened if that match took place before the trip to Etihad.

I expect Arsenal to clinch the title at home against Wolves on the final day and put to bed one of the all time great title races in history. I just hope they don’t leave it until the 90th minute.

Arsenal will drop points against Newcastle and Brighton, Title race will be over in next 2 games.

There is a reason I call you genius.

The title is coming home to the Emirates but you can keep moaning.

Don’t know about the title race but I’m enjoying this bragging rights race between Mamoon and amjid_javid

Only genuine here is you, the person who said title race was over in February 🤦*♂️.

Man city havent dropped points in consecutive games all season and your expecting them to drop points in 2 out of the last 4 games (4 points at least) 🤦*♂️

Nothing to brag about we both wanted Arsenal to win the league, difference is mamoom got carried away saying it was over in February, all that after saying Arsenal wouldn't win league at start of season. Mr flip flop.

Cracks are beginning to show? City have won games without even changing gears and your all off sudden thinking they are going to drop points in 2 games from final 4. Which would be a huge bottle job on their side which won't happen.

Arsenal always play well when their is no pressure.

Not winning for 3 games (everton-brentford-city) and then not winning for 4 games (liverpool-west ham - Southampton- CIty) has cost them league. Title winning teams dont go through poor runs like that

Plus Arteta's lack of a plan B, poor in game management over that time period has cost Arsenal. Top managers are proactive, rather then reactive.

Bring in kiwor and Jorginho into starting 11 a few games to late, fine margins lost due to incompetent management.

Then the disaster class at eithad where tried to go toe to toe with City. Look at how Real Madrid tactically changed when they played City. Anchelotti is world class and isn't arrogant and clueless like Arteta. The sooner Arsenal upgrade manager the better.

There's more chance of me being the next British King than Arsenal winning the title this season. So its easy to see who's going to win this particular race.

The 2023 title race will always be remembered for the months long feud between Mamoon and Amjid

What a season this was!

It was petering out but this late Mamoon comeback has reeled me back in :)))

Whilst I wouldn't go as definitive as Mamoon and say Arsenal will win it but I certainly think there is a twist or two left

Arsenal beating us was huge, a loss in that game would have ended it

I also think it's significant City having their final 2 games away from home and against decent sides that in different ways cause City problems

It will go down to the last game

Even if it goes to the last game, it will be academic with Arsenal needing a miracle considering City are now ahead on points and goal difference with a game in hand. Probably be wrapped up in the penultimate game at the latest.

The tone of Mamoon's comeback was subdued and resigned as he knows it all too well no matter what he says now.

I would love to believe City will drop points but they're in such dominant form and have such strong squad depth that I can see them just winning every single game as well. Dropping points twice in 4 games under these stakes having to just avoid defeat in those as well. Arsenal have to still beat Brighton and go to Forest away too.

It would be a Barclays miracle.

It would need City to lose 1 and draw one but if the loss came in the next 3 then it takes it to the last game as I think Arsenal win their 3

City are favourites but just saying I wouldn't be too definitive about it, just get a feeling it's not over

Mamoon was just trying to save the last bit of dignity he thinks he has left by showing false bravado.

The race could easily be ended fully on Sunday. Brighton have won 2, drawn 1, lost 1 out of their last 4 visits to Emirates in PL.

So those looking for City to drop points are assuming Brighton are going to turn up and roll over for Arsenal.

City have away games at Everton, Brighton and Brentford.

We can only pray that relegation-battling Dyche, De Zerbi and Frank have some master plans up their sleeve to stun City while they're focused on Madrid. Chances are incredibly low sadly.

We will look back on the Liverpool-West Ham-Southampton games with huge regret. Dropping points twice after being 2-0 up. That last-second 3v1 at Anfield. That Saka missed penalty. That dreadful defending. Trossard hitting the bar late vs Southampton. Painful way to end our best season in 20 years.

Knew Brighton would turn up and take points of Arsenal, people were praying city would drop points. Desperation at its finest.

No, it is the final answer.

Arsenal won the league when they won at Spurs and beat United at home. That gave them enough cushion to absorb a dip in form which they have.

People keep saying that City will win 10 in a row but they can’t string 3 wins together. They will not overtake Arsenal.

Congratulations to Arsenal for winning the league after 19 years. At last.

Ødegaard, the young boy who went to Real Madrid with a dream would not have thought in a million years that at 24, he will lift the Premier League as the captain for Arsenal. What a beautiful story.

Humble pie for certain posters for their arrogance. Getting carried away like they did 🤦*♂️

Yes Arsenal will win.

This is one of the greatest title run-ins in PL history with more twists and turns coming. It is one for the ages and Arsenal will pip City to the title.

Surely you have given up now?

A lame ending to what could have been a great title race to the last match.

Is it too early for next season prediction? :wenger

He has no dignity left so he will spin out some other excuses.

Now separately remember when you had the conversation with me and kept pressing me to say Arsenal are favourites and I gave you reasons why they weren't. This collapses is why, because I could see April was always going to make and break the season.

You analysed the matches to come, the form of certain players, the managers tactics and finally City being at peak form at the business end.

I feel a little sorry for Mamoon and Arsenal fans in general, City are serial winners, it would have been nice for another team to win while LFC are having an average season.

Oh well, it will have to be the Mighty Reds next season to stop City.

Absolutely, should be the Reds, at least they can take it to the last game of the season, not these overhyped misfits.

The last club to start a PL season with 8 wins from their first 9 games and not win the title was Arsenal in 2007-2008.

Before that it was Arsenal in 2004-2005.

Looks like its happening again. At least they can claim a treble for this. :))

Well I didn't expect Arsenal to lose like that to Brighton, especially after the results/performances of both clubs previous matches

Brighton got smacked up at home to Everton whilst Arsenal got an impressive win away to us

I thought the fight would go on a bit more but seems a bit feeble at the end

Losing to City at the Etihad and dropping points at Anfield is understandable but dropping points to West Ham, Southampton is simply not good enough and what has been their undoing

I'm not an Arsenal fan but from the outside looking in the season has been good when all is said and done, going to be a big summer, they need to make sure they invest

City are one of the best sides that the PL has ever seen and have the second or third best manager to grace English Football.

It was always going to be tough for Arsenal but I never expected the wheels to come off the way they did.

Pep is a bloody genius, the tactical tweaks he's made during the season has been superb, that ability to not only refresh the squad but make unique tactical adjustments is what sets him apart

I hope he does the treble but think the CL is where they will come short

Not surprised its practically done and dusted.

Previous seasons have shown that unpredictable results can happen in the last handful of games. The only constant being that City are ruthless.

Looking forward to Pep doing one over on the smug Real Madrid in midweek.

Another great thing about City is that is remarkably easy to get tickets to their games compared to the other top PL teams :))

Congratulations to the FFP cheats. Arsenal winning the league would have been great for English football, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be.

Next season’s prediction:

1. Arsenal
2. Liverpool
3. Man City
4. Man United
5. Chelsea
6. Newcastle

The FFP cheats will be lacking motivation especially if they do the treble this season. Some players might be reconsidering their future and even Pep would be wondering if it is time to go after achieving everything that he can at the club.

Liverpool know the areas they need to improve. Some of the players like Nunez and Gakpo will be settled and ready to make a bigger impact. The midfield will have fresh legs and more energy.

I think they will push Arsenal all the way but I expect Arsenal to learn from their mistakes, keep the core together and do good business in the window to further strengthen the squad.

Man United should beat Chelsea and Newcastle for the 4th spot.

Haha it’s always next season isnt it. Its between Manchester City and United next season guaranteed. United have assembled a fine squad and may even throw some million’s more for new additions this summer. Arsenal have overachieved in my opinion. They are NOT a better team than Liverpool or United.

Nah, they're still miles behind to challenge City. I'm expecting more lampoonery and buffoonery from hopefully another 7-0 tanking from Liverpool and meltdown from Gary N. :)))

Manchester City have been crowned Premier League champions for the third successive season after title rivals Arsenal lost at Nottingham Forest.

The Gunners, top for the majority of the campaign, are four points behind City with only one game left to play after being beaten 1-0 on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola's side have won the title in five of the past six campaigns.

They also have a chance to claim the Treble, with the FA Cup and Champions League finals to come next month.

Only Manchester United, in 1998-99, have previously achieved that feat - and it is their derby rivals whom City will meet at Wembley on 3 June, before facing Inter Milan a week later in Istanbul, where they will seek their first Champions League triumph.
