Why can't the PCB hold all home matches in England until the World Cup?

I remember we played AUS home series in 2010 in England which was very successful and there was a lot of fan following.

After the 2010 fixing saga we never went back for a home series there.

Although I believe the costs would be too much but the amount of practice we get for the WC and revenue we get since much much more people come to watch Pakistan in England than UAE especially in test matches can surely cross that.

I think the PCB must host AUS scheduled to play 5 odis against us in 2019 in ENG..cannot get better practice than that.

Not in favor of having PSL in England since half matches will be in Pakistan and travelling costs would be enormous.

Because they have to play against Aus and NZ in OCT-NOV and it's not possible to play cricket in England at that time

ROFL Selfish post, its not the crowd its about finances. Pakistan has incurred losses everywhere they played outside the country. After PSL and T20 series in Pakistan, the world needs to realize its more important to play in Pakistan if PCB needs to earn well and not depend on handouts from ICC.

I was freezing my rear end off outside today and its nearly May.

Can you imagine what the weather here will be like come Nov and Dec ?

Because England have no need and no interest in allowing another nation to play in their grounds.

Not to mention the light issue.

This question always comes up every now and then. You do know that we can’t just randomly go there one day and start playing cricket in their grounds.

PCB will need to ask for permission first (which the ECB will probably say no to) and then most likely pay a lot of money to able to host our matches there. On top of that most of our home matches take place in the winter so England wouldn’t be a good venue even if it was cheap and we had permission.

Other than a couple of one off matches against Australia a few years ago we will never play our home games in England. It’s just not as simple as that.

Scheduling conflicts and also cost could be an issue @ the OP

Time constraints. There is way too much distance between the two countries and the time lapse means that people would be sleeping in their homes by the time an ODI match would finish.

Why should we play in England where the i) conditions are alien for our players, ii) is expensive. I have seen some people on here putting too much emphasis on atmosphere and crowd. They probably dont realize that as a cricketing nation what we are going through is not normal. We just recently have gotten rid of the terrorism menace and nations in those times cannot expect to have it all.

Just be thankful that we are playing cricket; a sport which we are good at unlike southafrica which had to face boycott.

It would be similar to Kohli playing county Cricket to prepare for the England series or until the World Cup. Why should England allow Pak or anyone else this giving a rival team an unfair advantage for the World Cup by allowing them to get used to conditions? England being the hosts deserve the exclusive home advantage for next years World Cup.
