Why have Bangladesh not found any players since 2007/8?

The core of their team - Shakib, Tamim, Mushfiq, Mashrafe, etc. were the same guys who played against us in the 2007 World Cup.

Since then, players have come, been struck by stardom, then gone bust - Nasir Hossain, Soumya Sarkar, Taskin Ahmed - the list is endless. Even Mustafizur seems to be fading.

So what's going on? They have 160+ million people fixated on this one game and just one ageing generation and precious little success to show for it.

I don't think they have a talent problem. Liton Das, Taskin, they all showed a lot of promise when they arrived. But they definitely have a talent management problem in Bangladesh cricket.

Their cricket board has decent money but it's not spent on developing domestic circuit. Bangladesh domestic cricket is as bad as those of associate nations.
