Will a win in WCL 2024 final do anything for the pain of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 debacle for Pakistan?

I keep on hearing this from Younis Khan in every presser he does during the WCL tournament.

Basically, saying that after the hurt of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 debacle, these retired cricketers owe it to the "people" to win the tournament and provide them something to cheer about.

Sohail Tanvir also said similar.

My pov is that this tournament has NOTHING to do with the World Cup fiasco(s).

None of the teams playing in this tournament have been chosen by their countries, in fact seems that the organizers got anyone they could based upon whatever budget they had etc.

This is a buddei babei league with 90% of these players never representing pakistan ever again. And tbh, I'm sure sharjeel or Malik aren't coming back either so make this 100%.

This is a bigger defeat than the WC.

Firstly we lost to India again and secondly we lost the chance of learning lessons from the old mans team as a result.

People knew only after India made the finals.

Even Sachin's Road Safety Series isn't taken seriously as the retired guys are having fun.

Btw the CWC 2023 loss will hurt more, but we fans are satisfied after India played a part in Australia's elimination from recent T20 World Cup which we won.

Let’s be honest, Pakistan team was riding on Sharjeels ultra explosive starts in this tournament. He’s the one who lit up this tournament originally.

In the semi final they did well to recover from the failures of many top order batters but the same could not happen in the final.

I had to go and check scorecard to confirm if Sharjeel played in this tournament after reading your post.
Older players playing in U19 and younger ones playing in oldies game. Lol

End up pocketing millions personally and have zero performance on the field. Basically can't do the job they're getting paid for.
