What's new

Will India intentionally underperform today so that Pakistan doesn't qualify for the Semi-Finals?

Never mind underperform or overperform - they are currently being outclassed by a rampant pace bowling unit.

Poor tactics. And i am surprised at this. They kept attacking the short ball. Thats not clever on this pitch.

Seeing Pak bat against Zim and Netherlands , I don't think they stand a chance against Saf bowling under these conditions

This thread will be pretty funny to read at the end of the match. The insinuations, the questioning, the cheering for Indian team is really hilarious.

Hope bangladesh beats india and india zimbabwe wash out... That will be biggest karma for indian fans for losing on purpose ..

I won't say India lost on purpose, but there was no real effort in the field. This is the worst I have seen India field in ages.

The real shocker for me though was first 9 balls of India inning being dot. When was the last time it happened?

Pakistan’s selection is just what I would expect from the dim wits. But Kohli and Sharma missing simple chances is very out of character.

Thanks to Pakistani fans for rating our team so highly that we can win and lose on our very own free will but as an Indian fan let me assure you that’s not the case. Thank you though.

Seems like they are deliberately loosing this..🤦🏻*♀️🤦🏻*♀️🤦🏻*♀️
Even kindergartens can field better than these jokers 🤦🏻*♀️

Films and webseries are overrated, I'm watching high skilled actors on the ground in blue tshirts.

Don't think India underperformed. The first maiden tingled my spidey sense, but the remaining match has been a good contest.

Next netflix series.. Men in Blue - Unsung Heroes

Cast
Kohli & Co. Oscar.. Emmy awards winners

Maybe Pakistan can return the favor by losing badly to Bangladesh and knock India out if it comes to that.

Should PCB lodge a formal complaint against India?

This was not a genuine match. I have never seen India play this badly in ages and that too when Pakistan needed a win from India

They should.. how can India scored only about 130s on a batting paradise and can't defend it on a minefield..? Look at the strike rate of Sky and Markram/Miller..!

:))) That will be the most hilarious thing PCB will ever do in a long, long list.

Dropped catches, run out chances and giving 18th over to Ashwin who flighted the first two balls. I wouldn't say the batting was on purpose. India did really struggle as did the SA batters on that pitch. However, at critical moments there were some weird decisions and misses.

This thread has no credibility. Pakistan losing to zimbave is the main reason fpr their more than likely elimination. Also i cant see them beating South Africa in these conditions.

BD is India's bunny. Even if Zim game rains out, Ind will have 7 points.

A team that bottles it on the biggest of stages against India and Zimbabwe on the biggest of stages does not deserve to go through.

Hope Babar is given a serious dressing down by the PCB and terminated as captain.

Even if India lost on purpose I don't blame them. Fact is we lost to Zimbabwe and put ourselves in this position.

Pak is not out yet. India can still lose matches against BD and Zim. Although powers that be can never imagine an ICC Knockout stage without India. Nature can have it's way and both India matches get washed out.

Pakistan have already batted themselves out of the semi finals. India does not have to do anything to Keep a mediocre team like Pakistan out of the semis.:))):))):))):)))

Why blaming India? Pak were pathetic against Zimbabwe and they deserve to go home.

Like I said even if india played out of their skin they could never beat South Africa on this pitch with South Africa’s pace they made Indians look like little ducks not trying to get shot. Never the less we lost to Zimbabwe no point of putting faith in enemies lmao

India threw this game to avoid playing Pakistan in the final.
PCB has the right to lodge an official complaint.

In politics, Pakistanis believe the military, politicians and foreign conspiracies are responsible for their demise, when it is their own incapability to earn dollars via freelancing in the era of YouTube and Upwork.

In the world cup, they find solace in believing that the umpires were responsible for India's win against us and India deliberately threw the match against SA, when it was our shambolic batting against Zimbabwe, and atrocious bowling and captaincy against India that were the culprits.

What a dumb question. No team will ever underperform intentionally. Rivals are completely irrelevant in world cup. Every single opposition is a rival. World Cup >>>>>>>> any rivalry

Inda put their best foot forward in the worst possible way. SKy and bowlers first 10 overs. That is all India can call it as positive. Rest are all negative

India did as expected. Played carelessly without any desire to win. SA still almost choked it but India didnt let any mishaps happen. Plan successful. Kohli acts better than Anushka.

Last time India played like this was in the 50 Over world cup against England.

Pakistan do not deserve to be in the semis - 2 games they had in the bag and threw it away because of their incompetence especially the Zimbabwe game.

Yeah sure just like we intentionally lost to Zimbabwe:sharjeel. You could tell India were trying hard to win this one with Kohli screaming and all after an RSA wicket fell. At least India lost to a good side where as we did to a third rate one, no offence to Zimbabwe. Are all our usual dropped catches intentional too? India would much rather have gone through instead of putting themselves under the pressure of a match versus Bangladesh.

Not in this game.

India underperformed in the Ind-Eng WC game in 2019 though courtesy Dhoni.

It's simple, and no there is no conspiracy... India were simply awful today.
Not assessing the conditions snd trying to smash the quick bowlers on a fast and bouncy track..
Utterly brainless.

Now, if Pakistan lose to SA, BD win vs India or washes out. Pakistan should do brothers a favour letting BD win which k.o’s India.

No way did India lose deliberately lmao. They couldve done that against Zimbabwe in the last match of the group if they wanted to.

They were just exposed today and they arent any better than us, if so just slightly better.

India were playing to win

It was South Africa that played weird and suspiciously

Kohli spills a simple catch

SA outplayed India. Well played guys. They were always favorites on this pitch. 145k balls were zipping through.

Honestly, even if India intentionally underperformed I would not have cared. Pakistan lost two matches which should have been won, so you can't blame anyone else now. Ab ro lou jitna rouna hai.

So Pakistan shouldn't bother about winning against Zimbabwe. Pakistan shouldn't even try to boost their NRR against Holland and take their sweet time to win the match but it is India's fault for Pakistan not progressing to the next round .

:)))

Pakistan don't deserve to go through. South Africa have the bases covered and India are still a dominant side and have a better understanding of Australian conditions compared to Pakistan.

India was beaten by the better team today.

Most of their main batters were clueless against pace, their fielding was very poor, but their bowlers fought hard.

They lacked intensity and maybe this was the kick up the behind that they needed.

The lack of intensity and fielding quality were definite indicators of foul play. India clearly didn't want to win.

Its funny that the Pakistani batsmen couldn't handle Muzarabani and Ngarava in Perth pitch but fans blame Indian team for failing against the likes of Nortje, Rabada and Ngidi.

Nothing foolish about this thread. We all saw what India did in the last WC - Dhoni dead batting when they still had fair chance to win?

Not saying that the same happened today, just pointing out that India's track record in the past totally justifies this thread.

SA is definitely the best team in this group. As for India, no they aren't great of a team in this tournament and got badly exposed that they can't manage much of bounce either so this loss isn't a surprise. If they were to make it to semi then they ll likely lose against a better side.

Pakistan should focus on winning SA game comprehensively, which I have a feeling they will as they usually do when chips are all down and out. Win next two games comprehensively with intent and even if Pak doesn't go through, atleast they can walk away gracefully.

Dhoni has done that several times in his career. What happened that day was not unique. It is just Pakistani supporters playing victim and complaining as usual. Nothing new.

Besides, if Pakistani supporters want to complain about that game then they should look at the 2009 Champions Trophy match between Pakistan and Australia first.

Same SA attack got ripped apart by India B team. Even here if India had taken some time could have picked apart this attack. INdia is good enough against these guys. Kohli rarely plays shot in the air. Not sure why he did that today. SKY basically played the same attack. Kohli has aced several short pitch barrage from Mitch Johnson even in Tests. Today India came up with a plan of catching them off guard by attacking them. They went after the what was supposedly the weak link. Ngidi. That is where they lost their head. Waleed is a bang average bowler even at Perth. Can't believe India gifted him 3 wickets.

India is just not good enough. They got finished oldies like DK and rohit and highly overrated cricketers in Hardik and KL. Hooda is a club cricketer. Doubt they will go past semis

This game needs investigating.

Karo Karo investigations..

IPL buddies love over Padosis love..

Kohli's love for his South African RCB mates and Pandya's love for his Gujarat Titans mate wins it over Babar's "This too shall pass" love for Kohli. :91: :inti

They won't. But can you tell a perfect team in this world t20? I can't find any. SA is the closest to perfect. But they will choke in an important match

Kohli laughing. Did he drop it on purpose?
